Windscreen wiper making contact with the frame
rab60bit88 replied to MDMH757's topic in General Car Chat
Here are a few images for you. Observe the phenomenon where my windscreen wipers, while in the parked position, appear to intersect each other in a criss-cross pattern. Furthermore, I detached the cover that is connected to the spindle where the wiper arm is attached. The nut can be detached, the wiper can be pushed off in a straight manner, and then it may be replaced in the appropriate position. -
Windscreen wiper making contact with the frame

(In all my descriptions of 'seeing', I am referring to the perspective from the front of the vehicle towards the windscreen, not from the driver's seat looking out.) If you observe your driver's side wiper blade, you will note that it is almost, if not entirely, parallel to the edge of the hood. Put simply, it is positioned horizontally over the windscreen. The distance from one tip to the other of the plastic moulding at the bottom of the windscreen is about equal. Please reexamine my photo. The left tip of my driver's blade is noticeably lower than the right tip and is positioned just approximately 1/2" away from the moulding. The right tip of my driver's blade is significantly elevated. Upon seeing the wipers from the engine compartment, it becomes apparent that the left tip of the driver's blade is positioned at a minimum distance of 1.5 inches from the moulding when the vehicle is parked. The excessive amount of movement causes the wiper to extend beyond the desired range, resulting in contact with the A pillar. The arm was improperly positioned on the spindle, causing the wiper blade to be excessively high while in the parked position. For what reason? The most prevalent causes are either replacing the windscreen or installing new wiper arms. The solution is rather straightforward, and if you are not confident in doing it yourself, any quality car glass shop will be capable of completing it at a little cost. Furthermore, I saw some discernible 'marking' on the wiper arm shown in your most recent photograph. Mazda does not indicate or label its products. Perhaps the arm was replaced by the prior owner for a specific purpose, but it was mistakenly repositioned. That is my wager. -
I often using CarPlay, and I want all navigation features to be fully working.

By the way, I had an issue with the navigation application. After upgrading to versions 23Q1/Q2/Q3, the points of interest (POIs) ceased to function and the application started crashing. Mazda replaced the primary CMU (central processing unit) and the vehicle is now functioning properly.

In my situation, the update process often takes around 2-3 hours to complete, without the inclusion of a backup procedure. It is desirable that everyone of us is able to do this task at home.

Hello. The most recent update is 23Q3, which was released in March 2024.

Occurred on my sibling's previous generation e46 vehicle. After finishing the duel cw, the driver smoothly approached the roundabout and accelerated in order to exit, but experienced a complete lack of response. After driving for almost a hundred miles without any issues, this incident occurred only one mile away from her house.

Now, I have been used to consistently turning it off before leaving. Add it to the favourites menu. Completing the task requires a total of five mouse clicks. -
Is there a method to verify that an adapter is not depleting the battery of your automobile while the vehicle is not in use? I have received information that certain individuals engage in this activity.

Could a software upgrade maybe address this issue?
-
Is it not necessary to have a software update that is compatible with it? Based on the information provided on this Mazda website, am I interpreting it correctly?

Greetings I just purchased the highest trim level of the 2021 model of the CX30 in Europe. I am experiencing difficulties comprehending if it should possess wireless android auto functionality or not. There are some instructions available on how to activate the Mazda guide on cars from 2021 onwards, but unfortunately, it is not functioning as expected. It is possible that I should consider updating the programme. I am experiencing a state of mental perplexity and uncertainty. I would much appreciate your assistance.

Are there any photographs documenting the water damage before to and during the cleaning process? What method did you use to cleanse it? In my view, it would be advisable to replace the device with a functional one if it has had water damage, and proceed accordingly. If the issue persists even after replacing it, it is probable that there is a damaged wire in the tailboard wiring harness. This assumes that the key fob in question does not belong to you. Indeed, the two components may be used interchangeably.

Preferred phone options after satellite navigation update
rab60bit88 replied to rab60bit88's topic in General Car Chat
Update.... excuse the wordplay I have reached out to the Kia Sat Nav helpline addressing this issue. The functionality of the Favourite button and the ability to place contacts into it were terminated as part of the update on October 23. The company has received several complaints over this decision, and it is expected that someone in the appropriate department will reconsider and reintroduce the feature in the next update later this year. This situation has caused frustration -

I am able to assign a star to a phone, but I am unable to find an option to assign a star to contacts. Could you maybe provide clarification on the meaning of "AA" when you mention it in reference to me? -

Preferred phone options after satellite navigation update
rab60bit88 replied to rab60bit88's topic in General Car Chat
Yesterday, I made numerous attempts to migrate my contacts from my phone to favourites. I ensured that the option to share contacts was selected each time. However, I was unable in completing the process. Additionally, I noticed that the star button, which was previously used for this purpose, is no longer visible on the screen. Has anybody had this issue after the installation of the October 23 satellite navigation update? -
Greetings, everyone. I just downloaded and updated the most recent satellite navigation update from the Kia website. The process was really simple and easy to follow. Similar to most updates I have either executed or seen in a workshop setting, I anticipated the possibility of some elements being "lost" or altered as a result of the update. Today, I discovered that all the contacts I had saved in my phone book were vanished. There is no problem as I have installed these items several times... The issue is in the fact that the system is now preventing me from inputting any data. The star button, which I previously used by pressing on the screen, is now absent. Despite several efforts using various methods, I am unable to input any information into the phone's favourites. Has anybody else had this issue, and, more significantly, is there a workaround available?
