  1. I have installed the MST kit on my device, and the auditory output is quite impressive. The turbocharger has been in operation for a duration of about two years, during which no malfunctions or fault codes have been encountered. The only discernible outcome has been the production of a more pleasant turbo sound.
  2. Carefully consider any "super deals" you may get. A batch of poorly manufactured motors, in which the oil pump feeds were not aligned correctly, ran normally for a few thousand miles before developing problems with oil pressure and noise. There were a lot of short blocks at dealerships, and LR removed the motor and replaced them (the only appropriate repair). If someone boasts, "I got a sweet deal here, low mileage v8," you should advise them to inspect the bearings and front cover to ensure the pump holes are aligned before you lift the pan.
  3. Do I have this wrong, or is it as simple as removing the coil pack(s), inserting a compression tester into the cylinder in question, and cranking the engine? Miss fuelling can ruin the fuel injector, so a second set of hands is necessary for a push-type compression test; alternatively, you can get a sense of the compressions by putting a bar or socket on the crankshaft bolt and turning the engine over with the plugs in; if one compression is down, it will be very obvious.
  4. Hey there, nice to have you here at the discussion board. Although I do not remember anybody publishing a summary of this position, you may find one by utilising the search bar located at the top of the page.
  5. We're glad to have you here. I don't remember anyone posting a report for this job, but you could try using the search bar at the top of the screen.
  6. So, I suppose I'll have to take one for the team!
  7. In August, I received a letter concerning this. "The most recent and enhanced engine calibration software must now be installed in your car. Additionally, software will be loaded to improve the accelerator responsiveness and reduce engine noise. This smells like Dieselgate; Mazda won't be giving away an improved accelerator response or quieter engine for free, will they? Has this been done by anybody else?
  8. On Sunday, I visited the Oldham Mazda store and admired the saloon model, which looked stunning despite its £28k screen price. While the 122ps model I test drove was enjoyable, I've settled on the Skyactiv X engine for my future Mazda 3, albeit one that is still a few years away. I pray that yours is successful.
