  1. Thank you, the Advanti Racing "Hybris" wheel is both lightweight and affordable. Regrettably, the largest available size for the 19" tyre is 19x9.5.
  2. I asked my brother-in-law to use Photoshop to modify the wheels from my previous BMW to resemble those of the R8, in order to visualise how they would seem. I must admit, I am rather pleased with the outcome.
  3. I have previously changed the battery when my device began experiencing similar problems. While I was travelling, I was concerned, but the batters proved to be effective. Furthermore, the age of the batteries remains uncertain.
  4. Occasionally, the lights on my 2023 R8 resemble that appearance after a vehicle wash. I have not encountered any caution lights so far. They desiccate rapidly. Every instance I have seen the hazy moisture in the illumination, it has dissipated by the subsequent occasion I inspect the vehicle.
  5. And they just distribute all the food, considering that it is sourced from your service expenses! 😉
  6. Is the money I spend at the Chinese-owned Mercedes-Benz franchised primary dealer in the UK being used to finance a perpetually shuttered café at an airport in Rome? Wow.
  7. While this statement is true in some situations, it may not hold true in others. The competence, attention, and expense of independent experts that specialise in certain automobile brands may also vary, and in some regions, their availability is limited. I recommend selecting based on reputation, personal experience, and quotations that include a detailed breakdown of age and mileage-related components for comparable repairs.
  8. To enhance clarity, I would appreciate it if you could provide a more precise definition of the term "the body connection on the starter motor lead." You possess two connections. Next, the solenoid plug is followed by the much thicker Power lead. The earthing process involves fastening bolts to the block and then earthing the block. Is my understanding of this process unclear?
  9. Could anybody who has a Sorento XM (2009 to 2012) kindly assist me? Could you please go to your vehicle, activate the ignition, start the engine, and inform me of the moment when the immobiliser light illuminates? Immediate? Could you please wait? How rapid. Next, kindly deactivate the engine while promptly reactivating the ignition without initiating the process. What was the speed at which the immobiliser was reactivated? Although it may seem little, I have observed that when my vehicle had a stall, the immobiliser light was the only one that illuminated, but only after the engine rpm reached zero. Is it typical for it to occur at that juncture?
  10. Indeed, the provided points are valuable. Thank you.
  11. Hello, gentlemen and women. I would really appreciate any assistance with this matter. Although rather verbose, I want to provide you with a comprehensive understanding. The Sorento has shown impeccable performance over the last four months since its purchase. The vehicle's initial mileage is under 60,000 and it has been well maintained prior to my acquisition. Commences, propels, and executes with freshness on each occasion. Last week, we were required to go to the hospital. Subsequently, the situation escalated significantly. After about 45 minutes of driving, I arrived at the traffic lights at a roundabout. I departed and travelled around 20 metres when the automobile abruptly ceased its operation. It seemed as if I had deactivated the key. Immediate complete power outage and absence of power control, etc. Fortuitously, I was able to successfully get to a nearby construction site. Upon rotating the key, the vehicle promptly resumed its operation. I made a mistake by assuming that it was likely insignificant. After driving a further 2 kilometres, I saw the presence of diesel smells emanating from a vehicle ahead of us in the traffic. As we navigated through heavy traffic during rush hour, I became aware that the odour emanated from our vehicle. The power was now out, yet it was still operational. I just want to exit the dual carriageway, and fortunately, there was a service facility in close proximity to the roundabout. I left it running, but later disabled it after identifying the optimal location for the RAC to examine it. Mrs. was transported to the hospital by Uber. RAC emerged and the individual inquired about the events that transpired. I informed him that he had removed the engine cover, resulting in the release of smoke beyond the first injector. He said that it was a prevalent flaw, tightened it, and it seemed to be satisfactory to proceed. I proceeded to the hospital around 4 miles away without any other occurrences. Upon spending around one hour in the hospital, we were prepared to go on the 40-mile journey back home. The vehicle travelled about 4 kilometres before switching off once again. On this occasion, it would not initiate again. Paradoxically, some 200 yards away from the location of our breakdown upon the release of the RAC. The vehicle was successfully returned to the residence. So, that provides a comprehensive overview. I examined the next day. Upon activating my inexpensive and unpretentious fault code scanner, the following output was generated: Performance Bank 1 for the P062D Fuel Injector Drive Circuit. The problem with the fuel injector. This is related to the loose one, so I ensured that all the components were securely fastened, and then measured the resistance at each injector: The value of 179, whether in ohms or k-ohms, is indeterminate. Two hundred and ninety-nine. Therefore, it was determined that the fourth injector was malfunctioning. I acquired a fresh item the following day and proceeded to fit it. It is not a challenging task, especially for an individual such as me. Rotated the key and, after a few rotations (presumably to remove air from the mechanism), it ignited and emitted a purring sound reminiscent of a cat. The issue has been resolved. Alternatively, I believed. I embarked on a 5-mile journey and everything was flawless. Upon returning home, I got the Mrs. into the vehicle and proceeded to Tesco, which is conveniently located near a dual road. After a distance of 2 miles, it once again turned off. After reading on a site about a potential problem with the engine wiring loom, I proceeded to remove the loom and thoroughly inspect it. There are no indications of any harm, grazing, or exposed wires. No. Subsequently, it is stated that a malfunctioning crank sensor will result in a random shutdown. That seemed logical, since I had experienced that earlier in a different vehicle. I just purchased a new vehicle from Kia for a price of £71, only to subsequently discover the unsatisfactory nature of the work. I will provide instructions on how to accomplish it in another location, in case anybody need it. It is sufficient to have rubber arms and the ability to look around corners. The first fitting, start, and operation were successful. The situation was quite peculiar. Experienced a few interruptions, but promptly resumed. A little jogging. The injector is being programmed into the ECU this week, but, I have completely lost confidence in the automobile. Could somebody provide me with any thoughts or suggestions? Is there anything that I am overlooking? While I have a strong affinity for the automobile, I am now seeking a potential substitute due to my urgent need for a dependable vehicle, given the several hospital visits I have yet to make. Thank you for perusing my narrative and for any assistance you may have.
  12. Initially, I found the price amusing, but if you want the highest quality available in the nation, this product may well be the top choice. I am curious about the duration of his ownership, as I assume it has not been very long and the prior owner invested a significant amount of money.
  13. Indeed, it is fair to acknowledge that there have been a few evaluations of the CX-60 that have raised concerns over its quality. The outcome remains uncertain and can only be determined via the passage of time. Do you have any information about the anticipated date for the lifting of the review embargo on the CX-90?
  14. Based on my inference, it is very probable that the vehicle in question is a CX-60 model, including a comprehensive range of features and components derived from the CX90 model. The available engine options remain unchanged. I concur with the notion of a $5,000 variance when comparing the trim levels. I anticipate that the inside, as well as the front clip, will remain unchanged. Similarly, the rear style is also subject to the same line of thought. Desired features include the integration of advanced headlamp technology, including the matrix LED headlights seen in the CX60 model. 2) Genuine exhaust tips or, at the very least, aesthetically plausible simulated ones (I remain unconvinced by the CX60 implementation). Are there any flaws or defects that need to be addressed in the CX90 launch before transitioning to the 70 model? 4) Mitigate the prominence of chrome accents seen on the CX90, or alternatively, choose a chrome finish with a deeper hue. The design of the tail lights of the CX60 might benefit from incorporating additional elements inspired by the CX30.
  15. Thank you for the responses, gentlemen. I engaged in a conversation with the individual who specialises in 'smart repair' services, with whom I have had several prior interactions. According to his professional opinion, the rectification of blemishes, such as scratches or markings, on matte paint surfaces poses no significant challenge, suggesting potential advancements in technology within this domain.
  16. I successfully resolved the previously stated reoccurring limp-mode problem with my 212 vehicle by selling it. I am considering the acquisition of a CLS. I am inquiring if Mercedes-Benz had the option of a 'matt grey' colour for the 2009 Grand Edition model. I have not before seen an item of this kind. The vendor has said that it is composed of paint rather than a wrap. I am only seeking clarification on the authenticity and appropriateness of this claim.
  17. I purchased a Mazda Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hitch from an authorized dealership. The approximate cost amounted to $500. I opted to have a local body shop do the installation, since the dealership's installation fee was exorbitant. In general, I am satisfied with it.
  18. I own a 1996 3.1-liter Chevrolet vehicle that had a complication with the presence of antifreeze within the engine oil. The lower intake gasket and related components were replaced. I used the Felpro gasket in my application. The observed gasket exhibited the presence of red room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) material in its bottom region. This incident occurred some years ago, and there have been no further issues. Additionally, it is worth noting that the cost of the gasket set was $40. In the event of suspecting a compromised head gasket or a warped head, it is advisable to transport the head to a machine shop for further examination and potential rectification. The flatness of the object may be assessed by placing it on a surface plate. It would be advisable to do an inspection for any cracks as well.
  19. I really appreciate you pointing this up to me in your article. Since we'll be doing some serious mileage on our next family vacation, it's important that the tyre pressures are spot on. Once again, thank you
  20. Hi everybody, Regarding tire pressure, I would appreciate any guidance. When I picked up my vehicle at the local BMW main dealer on a number of times, I observed that the tyre pressures, especially the rear ones, had been lowered. My tyre pressures look excessively high, according to the chap at the local Independent Specialist where I brought my vehicle for a quote on brake replacement operations the other day. What does this decal on the driver's side door of the automobile mean, exactly? See attached photo. It's usually just the two of us, my wife and I. Where is my rubber?
  21. How lovely! My 2007 BMW 3's check engine light just turned on yesterday, so I've been reading up as much as I can.
  22. Stopping brake dust and other debris from adhering is much easier after waxing or using a ceramic. My wheels have been powder coated with polyester. In addition to brake dust and road grime, tiny shards of red-hot metal from the rotars embed themselves in the coating and accumulate over time. In addition to the standard, gentle cleaning, Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels excels at eliminating these embedded pieces.
  23. I agree with Needsnewtyres2. It will be quite challenging to eradicate all traces of this pollution.
