  1. Make sure you check the backlight bulbs in your x5. My X5 was acting funny at first, but it turned out to be because of a faulty light bulb. I didn't know till I replaced my defective rear light with a used one and examined its bulbs.
  2. After locking the vehicle, it does stop, but I've read elsewhere that the lighted block really shouldn't be so obviously placed. I've included a picture of one I discovered online; it seems to match the rest of the dashboard's design.
  3. I appreciate your response. Is it the intended state of affairs? I seem to recall that it, like the rest of the cluster, was completely dark.
  4. A week after purchasing this 1 series, I discovered that the bottom right corner of the digital dashboard displays a block that is noticeably lighter than the remainder of the digital dashboard (see image). Is there a way to remedy this, by any chance? Thanks
  5. my best wishes, and may things soon settle down.
  6. Has the vehicle been in an accident and repaired? What does the left side of the shock fixing plate's imprinted numerals mean?
  7. You've circled full circle, which I guess is a good thing.
  8. A visit to the dealer is always worthwhile to check on the status of a potential refit.
  9. According to the laws, you are only permitted to employ a spacesaver on the wheels of the vehicle's rear axle. Two main causes. a) Since the front axles are the driving axles, more force is transmitted through the smaller profile tyre than it was designed to handle. This might cause the tyre to wear out prematurely. On the back end, they are barely lagging behind. b) It should come as no surprise that the steering is done using the front axle. Therefore, for the same reasons as stated before. More twisting force than the tyre was intended to handle. For the same reasons, there should also be a third limitation placed on the vehicle, which is that the maximum speed should be capped at 80 kilometres per hour (50 miles per hour). They are only intended for use in an emergency to get you home or to the closest tyre provider as quickly as possible. But try explaining it to some of the individuals you meet every day who are still operating on a screensaver. They won't believe you.
  10. It's a pain, but I don't know many valeters who steam clean. Most simply scour with a decent upholstery cleanser and damp hoover. If you have beige seats, you must clean every inch equitably, or it will dry uneven and unkempt.
