  1. What an awesome website! It is identified as the ...3076. Thank you! Would I need to get the replacement coded whether I purchased it new or second-hand?
  2. I provided the dealer with my registration; nevertheless, I assume they can get the VIN from it. I do possess the VIN at now.
  3. Greetings, everyone. I own a 2011 C-Class Sport equipped with power-folding, heated, dimming, and puddle light door mirrors, and I have seen other similar listings on eBay with slightly varying specifications. I contacted a dealer to get a pricing for a replacement, since my current one emits a screeching sound when folded and rattles when the door is closed. The number he provided is A2048103076, however I have seen others that conclude with 876 and are very similar. I am uncertain if I recorded the number accurately. Can someone verify if I sent the registration number via private message? Salutations!

  5. Numerous diesel users use additives including Cetane, which enhances the performance of inexpensive diesel, enabling it to combust more efficiently and at higher temperatures.
  6. Concurred. I use them often; the most of my 212 components have been sourced from them, including my newest disks. Note that their components are often less expensive on their eBay store than on their official website
  7. On two occasions, I had a Check Engine Light (CEL) under 1000 miles; one instance was due to a faulty oxygen sensor (2016 L494), and the second was attributed to a defective engine thermometer (2022 G63). I hope yours is as mild and easily resolvable, notwithstanding the two-hour travel.
  8. What is the voltage when the engine is operational?
  9. It is a handheld tester. Regrettably, I possess sufficient age to recall just what it entails. Currently, it operates as a simulation inside DAS as necessary.
  10. It is uncertain whether this is discernible, but 1650 serves as an ambiguous reference. Alternative numerical values specify it precisely.
  11. If the malfunction occurs just while the roof is retracted, it may be prudent to verify that it is not exerting pressure on the luggage cover and interfering with that switch. I have repaired several roofs throughout the years. They are really intricate. I own a worksheet that is beneficial; nonetheless, the extension code is required. The B1650 is imprecise and lacks directional guidance. The main problem with them is a sensor or switch on the left-hand bow ram that bends in the centre. Additional prevalent issues include the bow lock on the back deck, which may have leaks or malfunctioning switches. The deck lock situated between the rear headrests exists in two variations: one equipped with a switch and the other without. However, they often do not malfunction. The wiring next to the right-hand deck hinge is susceptible to fracturing at the points of vertical movement. Infrequent, however seen sometimes. The ECU may malfunction, often indicating the same issue with a switch even when all wiring and the switch have been thoroughly inspected and found to be flawless. This is mostly attributed to jump-starting or the disconnection/reconnection of the battery. It seems that this may cause surges in the ageing capacitors within. This was prevalent in earlier A124 and R129 models in the past. A208s seem to exhibit the same behaviour today as well. Components for these vehicles are becoming difficult to locate. Numerous components are now obsolete from Mercedes, and used parts are exorbitantly priced.
  12. I need the extension code, specifically the two numbers after B1650, to assist you with this matter.
  13. That is acceptable, friend. I intend to arrive by 10am, but realistically, it will likely be closer to 11am. My friend is not proficient at time management. 😂
  14. I will be going to the hill on Sunday, June 8th, at 10 AM. I have a companion accompanying me.
  15. Greetings to everybody In a prior post, I expressed my desire to arrange a meeting for new members to connect with both fellow newcomers and existing members. The upcoming German weekend is scheduled for June 7-8 at Caffeine & Machine, The Hill, in Warwickshire. What day and hour would be most convenient for individuals? I am on call until 12 PM on the 7th, but I am available to meet afterward, as it is only an hour's distance from my location.
  16. Thank you, @torque2me. I completely overlooked that. Indeed, there are individuals on eBay that offer battery and switch replacement services. I would recommend sending it off for repair before considering a transition to a diversity antenna and BCM.
  17. The footwell body control module may also be defective; do a diagnostic scan for DTC to obtain further information.
  18. The alarm will activate if a manual entry is performed prior to inserting the key, indicating a potential malfunction in the diversity antenna module.
  19. The issue is that insurance is calculated based on the vehicle. It is not the individual I consider erroneous, as the substantial production of BMWs implies a higher incidence of accidents, thereby elevating their market value. I have received bids for several high-end exotic vehicles, and the costs were astonishingly low. I can insure a £250,000 Ferrari Dino for cheaper than my £9,000 BMW.
  20. I purchased an F30 330d M Sport in August of last year. My insurance increased from £380 for an Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro B7 to £890 for the new vehicle, which was entirely standard. I was quite frustrated. In summary, after making some modifications, I obtained quotes for renewal. The standard renewal quote was £1,100 with Aviva, despite having 10 years of no claims bonus and 19 years of driving experience. Unblemished licence. Repugnant. Obtained several online quotes; the lowest was £4,000. I contacted Adrian Flux and received a quotation of £1400, which includes a remap, induction system, and larger front-mounted intercooler. I remain dissatisfied; I have obtained numerous further quotations, although most providers do not respond. I contacted Keith Michaels, who quoted £895. Insurance is a fraudulent scheme; yet, I consider it expensive. They insured a WRX import with numerous improvements, producing 340 horsepower, for £450 five years ago, despite my limited no-claims bonus and being a first-time owner of a modified, more powerful vehicle.
  21. I am uncertain about the A-Class; but, for the C-Class, the 7G+ gearbox requires servicing every 77,500 miles or every 5 years, whichever occurs first.
  22. It is certain that only MB STAR will do the task. However, if the garage proposed to execute a gearbox software upgrade, he would probably want a genuine MB STAR scanner. Did he propose that the vehicle be transported to a dealership for the software update? Generally, the common problems include inadequate service (for a 2014 vehicle, the ATF should have been replaced twice, first in 2019 and again in 2024) or a defective gearbox control unit (TCU). However, there may be further complications.
