  1. I will be going to the hill on Sunday, June 8th, at 10 AM. I have a companion accompanying me.
  2. Greetings to everybody In a prior post, I expressed my desire to arrange a meeting for new members to connect with both fellow newcomers and existing members. The upcoming German weekend is scheduled for June 7-8 at Caffeine & Machine, The Hill, in Warwickshire. What day and hour would be most convenient for individuals? I am on call until 12 PM on the 7th, but I am available to meet afterward, as it is only an hour's distance from my location.
  3. Thank you, @torque2me. I completely overlooked that. Indeed, there are individuals on eBay that offer battery and switch replacement services. I would recommend sending it off for repair before considering a transition to a diversity antenna and BCM.
  4. The footwell body control module may also be defective; do a diagnostic scan for DTC to obtain further information.
  5. The alarm will activate if a manual entry is performed prior to inserting the key, indicating a potential malfunction in the diversity antenna module.
  6. The issue is that insurance is calculated based on the vehicle. It is not the individual I consider erroneous, as the substantial production of BMWs implies a higher incidence of accidents, thereby elevating their market value. I have received bids for several high-end exotic vehicles, and the costs were astonishingly low. I can insure a £250,000 Ferrari Dino for cheaper than my £9,000 BMW.
  7. I purchased an F30 330d M Sport in August of last year. My insurance increased from £380 for an Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro B7 to £890 for the new vehicle, which was entirely standard. I was quite frustrated. In summary, after making some modifications, I obtained quotes for renewal. The standard renewal quote was £1,100 with Aviva, despite having 10 years of no claims bonus and 19 years of driving experience. Unblemished licence. Repugnant. Obtained several online quotes; the lowest was £4,000. I contacted Adrian Flux and received a quotation of £1400, which includes a remap, induction system, and larger front-mounted intercooler. I remain dissatisfied; I have obtained numerous further quotations, although most providers do not respond. I contacted Keith Michaels, who quoted £895. Insurance is a fraudulent scheme; yet, I consider it expensive. They insured a WRX import with numerous improvements, producing 340 horsepower, for £450 five years ago, despite my limited no-claims bonus and being a first-time owner of a modified, more powerful vehicle.
  8. I am uncertain about the A-Class; but, for the C-Class, the 7G+ gearbox requires servicing every 77,500 miles or every 5 years, whichever occurs first.
  9. It is certain that only MB STAR will do the task. However, if the garage proposed to execute a gearbox software upgrade, he would probably want a genuine MB STAR scanner. Did he propose that the vehicle be transported to a dealership for the software update? Generally, the common problems include inadequate service (for a 2014 vehicle, the ATF should have been replaced twice, first in 2019 and again in 2024) or a defective gearbox control unit (TCU). However, there may be further complications.
  10. Our GLA is from 2017, so belonging to the preceding generation.
  11. I have installed one of these, and I am certain that they can be integrated with the heating controls; all my steering wheel buttons, including reverse, function well. I also get a vehicle display including radar configurations while reversing; allow me to examine it and provide the URL.
  12. It is essential to contact with both Toyota and maybe Tesla, since speculation over your requirements may lead to the loss of a second vehicle. It is advisable to get certified equipment rather than products from an obscure Chinese manufacturer on eBay.
  13. Even if you had destroyed the figure on the VIN plate, it would have still failed as the reading exceeded 3 regardless. Should a leak-off test reveal that one injector exhibits a somewhat greater rate than the rest, it may be the source of the excessive smoke. Occurred on my property a few years ago. Alternatively, have SWMBO crank the engine as you monitor the exhaust, and sequentially disconnect each injector to see whether any specific injector significantly decreases the smoke output. I performed the procedure on my daughter's Modus due to one injector exhibiting excessive fuel delivery. Identified the perpetrator by that method.
  14. The ice on the camera may indicate a lapse in supervision, raising questions about the testing procedures. Given the extensive software integration in contemporary vehicles, it is plausible that updates may be implemented to address such issues.
  15. Thank you for your response. Your statement has validity. When one expends such a significant amount of money, such irritations become more exasperating. The most irritating aspects are the inadequately designed sunroof and the nonfunctional segments of the front and rear external lighting. I own the PHEV Premium Plus and am dissatisfied with the notion that I purchased a "premium" model, but the equivalent premium S-line has superior illumination. One may presumably learn to coexist with other matters. 🤣 I may have been used to the excitement I had when discovering the innovative and well designed features of my Audi.
  16. I may not have purchased the CX70 PHEV had I consulted this forum beforehand. Can someone alleviate my concerns about my purchase? 😔
  17. I suddenly recalled that I had created a discussion about new tire depth. The notable observation was that the new depth of the ECOContact 6 tire is around 5.9mm, although I believed the standard depth to be 7mm.
  18. I had the Kia Service Care plan, and my vehicle was serviced at the local Kia dealership from whom I purchased it. I requested rotation at every service, and they never imposed a price for it. I like to have uniform tire wear throughout the vehicle.
  19. I recommend rotating the tires from front to back, since the rear tires often do not wear out as rapidly, which may help prolong their lifespan. I had Continental tires on my previous 2020 Sportage and had them rotated at each service appointment. Accumulated 17,500 miles on them; nonetheless, I was dissatisfied and changed them immediately after the vehicle's MOT.
  20. I just had a thought. A fault code scan may be advisable, since I am uncertain if the alarm activates upon locking the vehicle. Does the clown's nose illuminate after locking?
  21. Requires coding implementation. It seems that someone programmed it to function in that manner; typically, they emit a sound upon locking unless there is an indication that the vehicle is not secured. Carly, BimmerCode, or BMW software diagnostics will resolve the issue.

  23. While the prices vary significantly and older models are notorious for severe corrosion, the G-Wagen remains unparalleled as a genuine Mercedes-Benz off-roader. Aside from a Unimog. I am unaware of your budget; but, a little examination of eBay reveals that this is the least expensive option available, and the seller has misspelt the name. The existing wheels are wholly inadequate for off-road use, but they would likely fetch a higher price than the cost of a decent set of wheels and tires.
