  1. Relax! I bought a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from them everything was handled properly. It's still drive like a baby 🙂
  2. Hi That’s the reality of buying remotely though. I work in motor trade logistics and quite a few finance repos are sold like this now. If they’re giving you 14 days from delivery and it’s written on their website in plain sight, that’s stronger than a lot of small independent dealers.
  3. For a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), I'd like to know the real cost per mile by adding up the costs of charging and petrol over a set period of time, maybe a month or three months. This should be possible if the driver is enrolled in a specific charging tariff and the electricity costs can be calculated using the invoices from their home and office chargers. When the increased purchase cost of the PHEV is offset, the prices per mile might be compared to those of a HEV.
  4. On a brief all-electric excursion before, I had infinity shown 👍.
  5. Hello everyone, could someone direct me to a reputable independent establishment in North West England? Situated in Liverpool, hence in close proximity. Requiring replacement of the timing chain and servicing of the automatic gearbox. Thank you.
  6. Hello, I own a Kia Rio, which has proven to be exceptionally reliable. My daughter is in search of a quality used vehicle that is little larger than mine, prompting me to consider the Niro. Regrettably, home charging appears unfeasible; although she has adequate space, she resides in a rental property and lacks a separate electrical meter. I have two enquiries: Would you purchase a Niro, knowing that you would predominantly operate it on petrol? I believe that hybrids are more sophisticated and that their servicing may be costlier than that of diesel or petrol vehicles. There may be further disadvantages of which I am unaware. Secondly, if she seeks a conventional diesel or petrol vehicle, what possibilities are available from Kia? I can observe their present production (predominantly hybrid or electric), but I am unaware of when they ceased manufacturing diesel or petrol models, particularly in the larger body sizes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is the battery included in the 7-year/100,000-mile guarantee for their hybrid and electric vehicles? Thank you for your counsel.
  7. I had a mechanic friend examine it, and the issue pertains to the brakes. The brake pad has dislodged from the calliper and, while reversing, becomes lodged between the calliper and the calliper mount. Thank you for the response, however.
  8. I have consulted the Mazda dealer, who concurred that the issue likely pertains to the gearbox. However, as my brother owns the vehicle and is reluctant to visit a dealer due to the high costs, I am posting this inquiry to ascertain if anyone has experienced a similar problem or has insights regarding the matter. I suspect that the bearings within the gearbox may be damaged.
  9. My brother operates a 2009 Mazda 3 hatchback with a manual gearbox. He informed me today that his car cannot reverse, as if something is obstructing it or as though the parking brake is perpetually engaged, however this issue does not occur when he drives forward. I suspect it pertains to the transmission, although he contends it relates to the brakes. Does anyone possess insights regarding its nature?
  10. Greetings, I seek to have my MS85 2015 RWD modified with a coolant delete in the UK but have encountered difficulties in locating an appropriate garage. Residing in Hertfordshire, I am now considering a garage named ‘Tesla Specialist Birmingham,’ which primarily promotes itself on Facebook and has numerous posts indicating positive experiences in this domain. However, I am quite apprehensive over its absence of an online presence, as it lacks a conventional website. It has favourable evaluations on Facebook; nonetheless, I would like to ascertain if anyone here has utilised it and had a positive experience.
  11. Thank you for your comprehensive response. It elucidates all the information I required had I perused the instruction.chuckle: Thank you all for your cooperation. Greatly appreciated.
  12. You are entirely accurate. As is customary, I neglected to peruse the user manual before to commencing operation. Thank you for your contribution.
  13. Thank you, everyone; it is really appreciated.
  14. Hello, I seek assistance. I entered the vehicle and activated the start button as usual; but, when I attempted to shift into forward or reverse gear, no response occurred, and it remained in the park position. I attempted to power cycle multiple times, but it proved ineffective. I observed that the door handle was in the open position, so I exited the vehicle and secured it using the remote. However, when re-entering, the situation remained unchanged. After approximately 10 minutes, it displayed the "ready" notification, and everything was functioning properly once more. Was I at fault? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. In addition, I am fond of the car. I appreciate your cooperation in advance.
  15. Thank you for that; nevertheless, this item requires hardwiring into the vehicle. It is not a standalone unit.
  16. Greetings, everyone. I own a 2016 CLA200 Shooting Brake and want to add a front-facing dashcam. I am seeking a wireless option to avoid unsightly cables. I have been informed that they exist and function well, however I am unable to locate any. Has anybody experienced or heard of these? And if that is the case, where are they located? Seeking one that is simple to install with few complications. Thank you, everyone.
  17. Where can I get battery servicing, charging, or conditioning in Aberdeen?
  18. I am operating a Mercedes A200, and the screen recently displayed "Stop Vehicle, Leave Engine Running." The battery voltage is below expectations due to insufficient information. Sent to a friend's recommended workshop to measure the battery voltage, which registered at 12.45V. Has anybody encountered this previously? Uncertain if the issue is to the battery or the alternator. Will the problem code disappear after replacing the battery? Please recommend workshops for the completed requirements as well. I appreciate your assistance in advance.
  19. My perspective differs little. I believe that a hundred percent capacity is sometimes a historical need for LFP batteries at now. Based on my observations of several presentations on EV batteries, it is advisable to maintain a number below 75% for the sake of lifespan. I typically charge to 70% most of the time, and when I want a wider range, I charge to 100%. This seems to extend the battery's longevity, particularly after its use in the electric car. Research indicates that consistently charging to 100% may have adverse long-term consequences on the battery; nevertheless, the vehicle is likely to succumb to rust before these battery concerns arise.
  20. There are two options for linking your phone to the GPS system. First, activate tethering on your phone and connect the vehicle to the phone's hotspot. The vehicle will thereafter use the phone's data to provide real-time services, such as traffic updates and local fuel pricing. Utilising a USB connection enables access to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, along with its associated functionalities, like mapping and navigation. Many members like using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay for navigation and music streaming.
  21. Paint may darken. Modern vehicles possess a clear coat layer over the colour coat, which is susceptible to fading. This clear coat may yellow with time, particularly on lighter-colored vehicles, resulting in a darker appearance of the entire paint job.
  22. I utilise 0W-20 Mobil 1 totally synthetic oil and a Fram filter. The total cost for both items is $30 plus VAT. The CX-30 facilitates oil changes, providing considerable peace of mind when performed independently. Our vehicle is a 2021 model equipped with a non-turbo 2.5L engine, which may necessitate a different viscosity than that required by the turbo variants. Despite widespread criticism of Fram oil filters, I have utilised them for over 40 years without encountering any problems. I replace my oil more frequently than the average individual, hence I do not require a 20,000-mile filter. I change my oil well before reaching 5,000 miles, typically in my own driveway. The caution over the "quick change" locations is justified, however. Some are acceptable, while others may be precarious; the "upselling" can be characterised as predatory.
