TechnoTrailblazer
The left-hand side door mirror indication on the 2007 petrol C180 komp w203 model is not functioning. Even in instances when danger warning lights are on. The functionality of the indication light has been verified by testing, specifically with the right-hand side (RHS) being confirmed as operational. Does this imply the presence of a discontinuity in the wire? Upon visual inspection, I have seen that the wires seem to be in satisfactory condition, based on the limited visibility provided by the removal of the mirror cover. I encountered a state of perplexity when attempting to get a voltage measurement with a multi-meter. Furthermore, my attempts to locate a switch relay have proven to be fruitless. Is there a single entity or concept that fulfils the criteria being discussed?
TechnoTrailblazer
It is important to note that when the indicator lever is depressed (to signal a left turn), the arrow light on the control panel exhibits rapid repetition. Gianni682
I have performed many repairs on the wiring on both sides of the A Class mirrors, about two or three times each. However, the left side is now experiencing sporadic issues once again. The wires exhibit excessive rigidity and suboptimal routing at first assembly at the manufacturer. BENZE220AMG
During the period of automobile ownership, I had two instances of wire repair on my W203 vehicle. The most probable cause may be attributed to it. The break may manifest as an internal fault, whereas the external insulation seems visually intact. Gianni682
Indeed, the internal components of my earphones were consistently dysfunctional without any visible harm to the insulation. However, it is rather evident which ones are faulty when they are bent. The practise of consistently folding the mirrors by my spouse while parking exacerbates the matter. ElectricEclipse
As previously mentioned, the wiring in the mirrors tends to develop cracks over time as a result of fatigue caused by the repetitive folding and unfolding of the mirrors. The repair was conducted under the Approved Used warranty on our 203 model. It is plausible to speculate (and maybe even want) that contemporary vehicles, such as our present-day 205 model, use slip rings or other mechanisms instead of wires that flex back and forth in order to facilitate the automatic folding of mirrors. Gianni682
This is a 205s mirror wiring, which remains consistent with previous iterations.

TechnoTrailblazer
I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have graciously dedicated their time to respond to my inquiry about the malfunction of the door mirror indication. It is quite probable that there exists a discontinuity in the wire. Could someone provide clarification on whether the wire in question extends directly from the mirror through the door, or whether it instead connects to a junction located behind the door panel? ElectricEclipse
The connection inside the door panel may be accessed without the need to remove the whole panel, namely in the case of the A class. Instead, a piece of trim can be removed near the mirror on the interior, which will show the plug.
TechnoTrailblazer
The response was prompt. Remarkable. The vehicle in question is a 2007 C180 komp C class, which may not be equipped with the aforementioned "piece of trim." Upon careful examination of the door panel, I proceeded to remove the uppermost section of trim, which concealed a speaker. However, I saw that there was no discernible connection present, save from the harness cabling originating from the mirror. The door is equipped with a substantial lower trim that conceals a larger speaker. I am hesitant to proceed with the removal of this item until I have concrete evidence that the mirror connection is the underlying cause. migueldosantos77
The door panel is removed, allowing for the connection of the mirror's loom to the door control module.
BENZE220AMG
One possible approach to addressing the issue involves replacing the whole loom. Alternatively, it is feasible to tactually identify the location of the damaged component, then sever the wire, rejoin it, and insulate the connection. It is important to note that all of these actions should be performed inside the confines of the mirror housing.
