colinallcars
On my 212, I have observed that the Passenger airbag malfunction alert sometimes appears on the dashboard while I am driving alone; however, this signal does not activate when there is an occupant in the passenger seat. I suspect a malfunction with the seat occupancy sensor; nonetheless, does anybody own other insights or experiences? Is there a simple solution or another approach? Salutations. Rudy7831
If I Recall Correctly The passenger airbag indicator remains on while the seat is unoccupied. The indicator indicates that the airbag is nonfunctional when a rear-facing kid seat is installed.
BENZE220AMG
The orange indicator signifies the passenger airbag status. I believe the original poster is referring to a red SRS warning on the instrument cluster.
BENZE220AMG
The Front Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor is a prevalent issue, with repair costs for components and labour ranging from £250 to £300. There exists an inexpensive Chinese emulator available for purchase on eBay for around ten dollars; nevertheless, I would not endorse it. Another prevalent problem is the seat belt buckle mechanism, which is somewhat less expensive to repair, estimated at about £150-£200. The vehicle requires scanning with STAR (or iCarsoft) for verification.
colinallcars
Neither, indeed. There are no warning lights, just the text message shown on the speedometer.
colinallcars
I saw that emulators for other models are priced around £10, however the 212 version is about £40 or £50.
migueldosantos77
If you cannot tolerate it (I have a strong aversion to anything that fails to function as intended), then a session with Star/Xentry is the appropriate course of action. BENZE220AMG
Affirmative. I had the Start/Stop feature repaired on my W204, only to subsequently deactivate it each time I began driving. I despise the device, although if it is installed in the vehicle, it must be fully operational (so that I may deactivate it....).
