coolguy
I may not have purchased the CX70 PHEV had I consulted this forum beforehand. Can someone alleviate my concerns about my purchase? 😔
torque2me
Greetings! I have enumerated many concerns with my CX70 PHEV on this site, indicating that it is not without flaws. Nonetheless, I still consider it to be an excellent vehicle! I like operating in electric vehicle mode. It is quiet and reactive. Sport mode really excels. Eventually, the seats became less rigid, and the vehicle proved to be rather pleasant. Avoid excessive prejudice. Individuals will document what is ineffective. It is uncommon to encounter individuals who write to express that everything is satisfactory. Many of the concerns described here and elsewhere are irritations to varying extents but are not dealbreakers. Certain components of the vehicle are superior when produced by other manufacturers, whereas Mazda excels in the production of certain elements. In what ways does your CX70 fail to meet your expectations?
coolguy
Thank you for your response. Your statement has validity. When one expends such a significant amount of money, such irritations become more exasperating. The most irritating aspects are the inadequately designed sunroof and the nonfunctional segments of the front and rear external lighting. I own the PHEV Premium Plus and am dissatisfied with the notion that I purchased a "premium" model, but the equivalent premium S-line has superior illumination. One may presumably learn to coexist with other matters. 🤣 I may have been used to the excitement I had when discovering the innovative and well designed features of my Audi. neilrr010
I first saw this discussion and resolved against purchasing the automobile; however, my wife had other intentions, amusingly enough. She purchased it nonetheless. Issues that are arising and shocking her within only 2500 miles were previously known to be possible problems. The knowledge from this site has prevented me from being too agitated when issues arise, since I anticipated their occurrence rather than being completely caught off guard. The early morning frost disabling all safety systems owing to an obstructed front camera was unexpected; nevertheless, it is the model's first winter, thus few individuals have encountered this issue. We are so dissatisfied that we are considering disposing of it after only two months. Mazda advised us to just park it in our garage to prevent that issue, although they were unwilling to finance the construction of a garage, since I currently do not own one. coolguy
The ice on the camera may indicate a lapse in supervision, raising questions about the testing procedures. Given the extensive software integration in contemporary vehicles, it is plausible that updates may be implemented to address such issues. neilrr010
While one may assume otherwise, Mazda acknowledges the problem, and the solution is to use a garage for parking. My dealer did not thoroughly examine the system. They said that other individuals are reporting the same issue, leading them to conclude that a solution has not yet been established. Numerous reviews and forum threads corroborate the absence of testing you referenced. If a consensus is reached among individuals, there is often some veracity to the assertion.
