bl52krz
Greetings, everyone. I have had a problem since RAC replaced the battery. My partner left an interior light on, depleting the charge. Consequently, we summoned the RAC, who replaced the battery. However, now, when the fob is in proximity to the vehicle, the wing mirrors swiftly open and shut, and the lights flicker erratically. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Rudy7831
Please specify the version of the Sportage you possess: Mild Hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid. If the vehicle was functioning properly prior to the RAC technician replacing the battery, you should request the RAC to rectify the issue. The battery may be of the incorrect kind, or it may need disconnection and reconnection to facilitate a reset of the vehicle.
bl52krz
I apologise and appreciate the welcome. It is a 2024 1.6 mild hybrid, I suppose. I will reach out to RAC, and I anticipate their prompt response. Thank you very much
QuirkyPixel
Would echo the return of RAC. However, if possible, please visit your dealer. To confirm that RAC did not create an issue during the battery replacement.
bl52krz
My original inclination was to call the RAC or return the vehicle to the dealer. I was anticipating a swift resolution; nonetheless, I will heed the advise provided and reach out to the RAC.

bl52krz
What is the method to do this? Are there any links available?
nimbuye5
Given that it is 2024, the original battery should be covered under warranty since it is less than one year old.
Rudy7831
It pertains to the primary fuse switch situated in the driver's side fuse box (placed underneath the dashboard switches on the right side of the driver). A switch exists that deactivates the ancillaries, functioning as a reset; you may turn it off, exit the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes, and then reactivate it. Should you use that approach, be advised that switching off the car disables the alarm, central locking, etc., so do not intend to leave the vehicle alone.
