Is there anybody who has worked with Newtownards Transport before?

Before I put my foot in my mouth, I figured I'd better ask first since I'm not quite sure if this is the right neck of the woods to do so. I was kicking the tires on Gumtree when I stumbled upon an ad for a 2021 KIA Sorento from Newtownards Transport. The price is a steal compared to what I’d expect for a vehicle with that kind of rating and mileage. It’s like finding a diamond in the rough! I'm treading lightly due to all the shenanigans that have been happening lately. Has anyone taken the plunge and bought a vehicle from them, or heard any solid word on the street?

ads that are cheap and that need payment before delivery are often a warning sign for me and when it comes to scams, it's the same old song that you hear over and over again. I'm not suggesting that they are up to no good. It is the equivalent of placing all of your eggs in one basket; you are walking a tightrope without a safety net if you hand up the money that you have worked so hard to obtain without you having seen the car.

I looked up Newtownards Transport earlier. Their registration as NEWTOWNARDS TRANSPORT LTD. has been active for some time, and everything seems to be in order according to Companies House.

I contacted them as well to gauge response time; they were very professional and got back to me quickly.

I was unaware of Newtownards Transport until this morning, when I did some research and found a few references to them on different sites. They seem to have just lately started aggressively promoting the selling of repo autos.
It is understandable that the cost is cheaper when dealing with repossessions, but it is still not a choice I would make quickly.

Not long ago, I drove from Manchester to Belfast to check out a 2022 Hyundai Tucson that was for sale. The guy I talked to (I think his name was Daniel?) took care of everything when I got there. There was no pressure, and he let me take a test drive and look around freely. It's easy to get to and from the airport because they are close to everything. Also, Newtownards Transport is great at what they do with repo cars, so you can buy one at the scrap price without having to pay extra fees like a dealer would.

It's funny that this thread has come up since I've been looking at an eBay listing for a Jaguar F-Pace. I completed the routine phone calls, and emails, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. I still can't get rid of the sensation, however. It simply doesn't seem right to give money before viewing it.

Morning

Thought I’d chip in as I’ve actually bought a Seat Tarraco from Newtownards Transport about three months ago!
I won’t lie, I was uneasy about transferring money without seeing it first. Spoke to them a few times before doing anything and they explained the process in detail. Mine took just over a week to arrive. Was meant to be quicker but got pushed back slightly, they kept me updated though so wasn’t a big issue

Cheers!
