Supercharger kit for the Mercedes-Benz C63 W204 model.

Recommended Posts

Greetings, individuals.

Which option is better: the Weistec Stage 3 or the PTG 4L?

I have decided to enhance the performance of my automobile by installing a supercharger. I do not want to invest in a 2.3L engine and then have to spend further money on upgrades later.
I will continue to use the original internal components and gearbox until I have enough funds to invest in modifications at a later time.
Weistec guarantees a power output of 625 wheel horsepower when using 95 RON gasoline.
Requires a refrigerated compartment in the trunk.

PTG claims that their product can provide a power output of 675-700 whp while using 95 Ron fuel. They advise against using the trunk ice box.

I am determined to achieve the status of having the quickest vehicle in the nation. Presently, there is only one C63 equipped with the Weistec stage 2 upgrade, which claims to generate 700 horsepower. However, I am uncertain about the accuracy of these figures. In the future, I plan to do modifications such as gearbox upgrades, piston and rod replacements, and head porting.I would want to make a single investment and maximise my net HP from the kit.My vehicle is a 2013 P31 model with a mileage of 28,000 km. It is equipped with headers, a complete exhaust system, a limited-slip differential (LSD), a Weistec gearbox pan, a catch can and a larger oil cooler.

In terms of pricing, both Weistec and PTG currently offer similar prices. However, Weistec has announced that they will be providing discounts during the forthcoming Black Friday sales. On the other hand, PTG has said that they will not be offering any discounts on their supercharger kit.Is it advisable to invest in PTG or would it be more prudent to wait for a sale and purchase Weistec?

Individuals who have installed these kits are invited to participate and share their own experiences, including any encountered complications.

Thank you very much.

I am not acquainted with the PTG kit, but I have installed stage 2 Weistec on my vehicle. The supercharger itself has not presented any problems. However, the pulleys that come with it (or at least were included when I made the purchase) are susceptible to failure. These pulleys are marketed as an upgrade and can also be purchased separately. Unfortunately, the bearings used in these pulleys are not as reliable as the original equipment manufacturer's. The only improvement made was to the outer pulley material.

If you have a genuine interest, I own a Weistec Stage 3 supercharger that has only been used for 500 miles. It includes an updated intercooler, a custom-made ICE tank, and several other components. In addition, I own a Stage 2 supercharger package.

Includes all components and an enhanced pulley for future engine upgrades.

Although the billet pulleys are included with the purchase of a supercharger, Weistec's website explicitly states that they are not suited for use in supercharged systems when purchased independently. That statement should provide sufficient information for everyone. To be honest, it is a joke.

Although I don't use Facebook much, I personally had this problem and saw a post on the C63 AMG UK owners club where it seems that most individuals who have installed Weistec products have experienced this failure.

Once again, it provides you with all the necessary information. Weistec is aware of the problem, but they refuse to take any action to assist customers who have been left in a difficult situation due to pulley/belt failure. They only mention this issue on their product page, which is not present if you view the product pages for the individual pulleys instead of a kit. Despite this, they continue to sell these products. When a pulley malfunctions and damages your belt, you will have to wait for a replacement belt specifically designed for the supercharger to be supplied from the United States, which is not a fast process.

If the inquiry about the pulley was intended at me, the modified pulley I am referring to is designed to increase the amount of boost delivered by the charger. This item has never been used or installed.

For the supercharger belt, just use a C32 AMG belt. The item fits well and is available in the UK. I believe it is a solitary belt designed for the C32/SLK32 with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part number "112 997 00 92".

Indeed, the 57mm snout pulley is the only component required to go from stage 1 to stage 2. Understood, I appreciate it. Thank you for the advice on the C32 belt. I will investigate it, esteemed individual.

Verification is required to transition from Stage 1 to Stage 2. On Stage 3, I have an additional pulley that exerts more force on the system. Based on my recollection, I believe the issue is only with the snout pulley, and a retune should resolve it.

There is no issue or difficulty.
