I have removed the front wheels, and the driveshafts appear to be in good condition; is there a method to assess the front differential, or should I simply service it and evaluate the oil's quality? I appreciate the notification regarding the gearbox shaft.
-
Disabling the transfer case results in a lack of power to the front wheels. You should inspect the front differential and driveshafts, as they are significantly more prevalent than the transfer case. A transfer case replacement is exceptionally straightforward. Both propshafts should be detached, followed by removing a ring of torx bolts (E12, if I recall correctly), allowing it to be pulled directly off the rear of the gearbox - secure the output shaft to the gearbox with a cable tie to prevent it from sliding out and spilling a significant amount of oil. Detaching the exhaust simplifies the process. I can extract one within an hour, using axle stands.

Indeed, I have observed all the problems associated with tires; these vehicles are exceedingly sensitive.

It appears to have malfunctioned if it ceases operation upon removing the fuse. Tires are typically the primary reason for this failure, but I presume you have encountered that information previously.

Greetings everyone! I suspect I am experiencing a problem with my transfer case. The wife drove the x5 and upon returning reported a wobble at speeds of 40 to 50 mph; I inspected the vehicle, suspected a bent wheel, replaced the wheels with my spare set, but discovered no damage, yet the wobble persisted, leading me to consider servicing the transfer case. Reset adaptations for the serviced transfer case, yet the wobble persists. 𤯠I replaced the front prop during my visit as a precautionary measure. I replaced the oil with Ravenol oil, but suspecting the car might not respond well, I switched to genuine BMW DTF1, yet it continues to wobble. I am currently at a total impasse. Has my transfer case failed? Removing the fuse ceases the wobbling! I possess an extra transfer case that I am contemplating installing, provided it is not a substantial undertaking. Does anyone possess any counsel? Causing me significant stress and contemplating executing x-delete š

Exide 096 AGM Car Battery 70Ah AGM700 EK700, Large : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

I would take the initiative to substitute it with a new AGM battery.
-
Is that a policy applicable nationwide for Auto Zone or specific to Ohio? The obligatory "core" fee in New York amounts to $5.
-
Transport the used battery to Auto Zone. They will provide you with $10 in exchange for it.

Due to my conviction in PREVENTIVE Maintenance, I seized the opportunity of the Toyota Parts Labour Day sale to purchase a new 12v battery, replacing the original one (which continues to function impeccably) in my TAH manufactured on 4/15. Acquired it yesterday; I merely need to find the time to install it. What should be done with the obsolete one? They did not impose the customary battery core/exchange fee on me.
-
To ensure tranquillity, it would be prudent to substitute it regardless; that is my recommendation. Why postpone until the most unfavourable time for it to ultimately cease functioning.
-
Investigate the replies to my inquiry regarding the instances when individuals have encountered the demise of their 12v batteries. Published in the preceding month. Limited responses, no genuine "fatalities".

My 2018 Avalon Hybrid has 122,000 miles and still contains the original 12-volt battery. It is operated on a highly consistent schedule. The initiation button activates it on the first press consistently. Curious about the anticipated duration of its continuation? Will there be any warning indicators, either on the dashboard or during the ignition process, suggesting it is nearing the end of its lifespan? Would you take the initiative to have it replaced or simply allow it to continue until it fails?

Yet another contented patron of the wheelshop has arrived. I suggest acquiring the kit that contains a jack. I intended to repurpose the jack from my compact Yaris, but the disparity in weight is excessive. The ratchet handle on the wheelshop jack is significantly more user-friendly than the conventional bent rod variant.

I possess a space saver wheel and kit acquired from The Wheel Shop. It accommodates the available space beneath the floor exceptionally well (once the polystyrene insert has been removed). Any of the equipment currently present can be repositioned in multiple locations, including within the new spare tire.
-
I presume that a 17-inch space saver wheel is merely a temporary solution to reach home. Is it not a pump-up? Favourable cost for the kit, much appreciated.
-
I appreciate the information; I will examine your link.

Ebay is likely your optimal choice for full-sized wheels and tires. A high-quality hydraulic jack effectively elevates the vehicle, yet it will significantly reduce trunk capacity and add considerable weight to transport. I purchased a space saver and jack from https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/. It functions effectively and prevented me from being stranded when I experienced a flat tyre recently. I possess a GT Line S, and currently, obtaining tires is challenging; therefore, I have a new one at home, prepared for use if necessaryā¦
