A replacement charger might be necessary since I have utilised my PodPoint charger for nearly 12 years. If I require a replacement, and they are quite costly - a minimum of £1100 from electricity suppliers, what are the economical alternatives? Would you consider purchasing an item of this nature?

Automatic door unlocking malfunctioning post-service.

I comprehend that this is accurate. It has the capability to LOCK autonomously when you depart, yet it cannot UNLOCK upon your return without utilising the keyfob or making contact with the door handle, as Etex clarifies. -
Automatic door unlocking malfunctioning post-service.
honeycut_mazda5 replied to ELGIGANTE's topic in General Car Chat
The door does not unlock merely by approaching the vehicle. It has consistently necessitated a contact, either via the keyfob or by placing fingers on the interior of either front exterior door handle, without making contact with the outer surface of the handle. -
Greetings to all, My CX-90 underwent maintenance at the dealership last week. Software updates were implemented. Currently, the proximity feature of the car unlock key is malfunctioning. Prior to the service, as I neared the driver's door, it became unlocked. Following the service, the door remains locked. I must physically disengage the door lock by utilising the unlock button on the vehicle key. The configurations are adjusted to keyless entry mode. Has anyone encountered this problem? If that is the case, what prompted you to rectify it? I appreciate it.

The W203 fan activates without the ignition key.
vitessear3 replied to MDMH757's topic in General Car Chat
It is uncertain whether Mercs perform this function, but VW vehicles do it to regulate the temperature of the valve and filter, which can overheat when contaminated with soot. My local Volkswagen dealership performed this routinely, and I suspected the thermostat was faulty, but a brief online search validated my concerns. Only likely pertinent if yours predates Adblue. -

Indeed, the 270 CDI undergoes a vigorous drive occasionally to assist in maintaining its cleanliness. Do Mercedes possess that as well? They appear to be disparate systems to me, although my knowledge of these or diesel engines is limited. I appreciate it. -

Is it a diesel engine? VWs perform this action when the EGR system requires a cleansing. If you operate the vehicle on the highway for 10 minutes, does it remain stationary? It has not been observed occurring on our 220 D, even at 150,000 miles. -

Greetings, the radiator fan is also associated with the air conditioning function. It does seem somewhat peculiar, however. -
Greetings everyone, Upon removing my key from the ignition, if one waits a few minutes, the radiator fan activates at maximum capacity; however, if the ignition is turned on again, it deactivates and operates properly without overheating. What might be the underlying reason for this? I appreciate it.

Ah, so it remains connected to that matter (i.e., you prefer not to deconstruct the BCM's software, etc.)! Have you attempted to substitute the parking brake switch with a new or pre-owned one? Does the issue resolve if you detach the BCM (or remove its primary fuse to isolate it)? Is it unequivocally associated with something pertaining to the BCM?

Fascinating defect I presume you have observed this discussion? The audio circuit is responsible for an unwanted battery drain; what are the solutions? Indeed, Mk4 compared to Mk5, yet there might still be some utility. It appears that this issue is relatively prevalent. I'm unclear about your reference to "All fuses out," but please review that discussion. The auditory apparatus... I have encountered analogous erroneous diagnostic codes stemming from electrical system malfunctions on one of my Mk4.5 vehicles; for instance, I received persistent "Water in Fuel" alerts and General Electrical Faults, which ultimately were traced back to a faulty (intermittent) ground connection at the Trailer Light Control module. Thus far, at least... To be honest, I find myself somewhat perplexed regarding your current situation, but it may be prudent to temporarily overlook the information provided by Forscan and several battery chargers. I would begin anew with the fundamentals to ensure clarity. Verify the parasitic current consumption. Adjust your DMM to the 2Amp setting and utilise high-quality crocodile clips to establish a secure connection between the Chassis and a point along the Battery Ground cable. Deactivate the vehicle, allow it to enter sleep mode, then detach the Battery Ground connection from the chassis, ensuring the DMM clips remain attached to prevent the car from detecting a battery disconnection and maintaining its sleep state. Subsequently, observe the actual current draw you are receiving.

Is the vehicle still consuming a 1 amp draw while in a deep sleep state? I continue to receive the “C1D00 EPB switch + additional fault short to ground body control module” during the Forscan BCM test, which leads me to suspect the BCM. I have now deactivated the stop/start feature in Forscan, so it is no longer an annoyance to me! Salutations

I concur with the preceding two contributors: It is improbable to locate any diagram. Nevertheless, do not be discouraged. I accessed my Trailer Lights control box, seemingly an Australian-made (aftermarket?) retrofit associated with the tow bar, and discovered several SMDs inside, distinctly marked with chip identifiers. I successfully identified the chips, traced the tracks and circuits, and determined that the box was functioning properly. The error stemmed from poor installation... although I question its relevance in this case. What is it that you are attempting to rectify or accomplish? P.S. I observe, for what it's worth, that your BCM is produced by the same manufacturer responsible for the TCM Unit (Mechatronic Lump) within the Powershift Transmission. Furthermore, for what it's worth, I do not regard the TCM unit as the origin of the Powershift's identified issues.

Are you referring to the PCB(s) contained within the enclosure? I question whether you will locate that elsewhere, likely confined to Ford and the original producer. Regardless, I doubt it would consist of anything more than a microcontroller chip and several peripherals to manage the I/O tasks. A more informative approach would be to disassemble it, examine the chip for any markings, and locate a reference manual for that chip; however, without comprehending the source code operating on it, I anticipate it would be of limited utility. -
Greetings everyone. Is there anyone who can inform me if or where I might locate a circuit diagram for a body control module? Is this applicable to my 2015 Mk5 1.5 Ecoboost Mondeo? Salutations

After you've done the previous tests, you can see if the alternator produces a better or higher output without the limit input by removing the small wire connector plug from the alternator and then starting and running the engine again. Despite the fact that the battery indicator light will most likely illuminate, I anticipate that it will. The shifting (I assume it's automatic) doesn't seem to have anything to do with this issue, and I don't get why you would suspect a problem when the battery was 12.7V the day before, after no use, and everything seemed to be working fine.
