I apologize; I have just verified your statement, and you are correct, which has left me feeling discontented. 🙂 The conduct of my Soul indicated that it preserved the configuration. There was a singular instance when it malfunctioned, and I was unable to discern the reason; however, I resolved the issue by restarting the infotainment system. The indicators were that it failed to retain the regeneration level. Since the regeneration level is sustained on the EV2 and EV3, I presumed that the eco mode was also preserved. (cue remarks on presuppositions rendering one foolish etc)
-
No, the EV3 consistently reverts to Normal mode each time it is powered on. Does your EV2 not perform similarly? I would be astonished if it did not.
-
Should it remain in the mode it was set to prior to being powered off?
-
I have not discovered a method for accomplishing it. One might assume that it would be saved in your profile alongside any other preferences you have established, unfortunately, this is not the case. If anyone possesses superior knowledge, I would be eager to learn.
-
Hello, I just acquired the vehicle today, so I might be overlooking something obvious; is it possible to configure the drive mode to remain permanently set to "eco," even after the car is turned off? Consider that the default setting is intended to be standard, yet I consistently observe it in both sport and normal modes upon powering on and off.

Automated transmission maintenance

I must emphasize that my insights stem from personal experience, and I am the proud proprietor of a 2012 automatic 2.2 diesel R Dynamic that operates as if it were new due to the additional maintenance performed, with 114,000 miles on the odometer. Could you inform me if you receive a notification on your dashboard that appears briefly stating, "low battery, system will shut down in 3 minutes"? Thank you -

Additionally, should you opt to service your automobile's gearbox, I would advise that you also service the haldex transmission, which should occur at approximately 40,000 miles. It is the component that propels the four-wheel-drive transmission. Recommendation - purchase the OEM service kit from eBay for £56 and arrange for a technician to service the Haldex concurrently. The technician should require merely an additional hour to service the haldex unit. Please inspect the driver's side suspension behind the wheel for any damage or a broken spring regarding the knocking. -

I can also state that I have experienced analogous gearbox fault indicators, all of which were verified to be due to a malfunctioning auxiliary battery. If your auxiliary battery has not been replaced, it will have exceeded its suggested lifespan of five years. One can effortlessly locate an OEM replacement auxiliary battery on eBay or Amazon; it cost me £14, and the installation by an auto electrician was £20. I advise against using a standard garage, as they will charge over £100. -
Automated transmission maintenance

Greetings, Your transmission requires servicing at 60,000 miles, irrespective of any knocking sounds. I would commence at this point and then have the workshop conduct an investigation while performing the gearbox service. The total expense for the gearbox service amounted to £425, and it is advisable to seek a specialized garage since this is a complex procedure that necessitates oil testing at different temperatures throughout the service. -
Greetings, I have just come back from a vacation in France during which I traveled slightly over 4000km in my 2012 Evoque. The automobile functioned flawlessly and provided immense pleasure while driving. As the holiday drew to a close, I began to perceive a faint and discreet 'knocking' noise emanating from beneath the foot pedals. It persisted for a brief moment as I departed from an intersection and accelerated before coming to a halt. It was never perceptible at highway speeds or during deceleration. I began to contemplate the gearbox solely due to the persistent noise that became apparent as I accelerated through the gears. Yesterday, I ventured to the stores, and upon restarting the vehicle, an orange warning indicator illuminated on the dashboard indicating a 'gearbox fault.' It remained for under 5 seconds before vanishing. The vehicle commenced operation smoothly, and I navigated home without difficulty. The subtle 'knocking' persisted at reduced speeds, leading me to suspect a potential gearbox problem. The vehicle has remarkably low mileage (79,000 km) considering its age, and I have never serviced the transmission. My Evoque is the inaugural vehicle with an automatic transmission that I have possessed, thus I feel quite uncertain about them. Does the gearbox necessitate routine maintenance? I consistently maintain the remainder of the vehicle. Any guidance and recommendations will be sincerely appreciated. I appreciate your assistance beforehand.

I have removed the front wheels, and the driveshafts appear to be in good condition; is there a method to assess the front differential, or should I simply service it and evaluate the oil's quality? I appreciate the notification regarding the gearbox shaft.
-
Disabling the transfer case results in a lack of power to the front wheels. You should inspect the front differential and driveshafts, as they are significantly more prevalent than the transfer case. A transfer case replacement is exceptionally straightforward. Both propshafts should be detached, followed by removing a ring of torx bolts (E12, if I recall correctly), allowing it to be pulled directly off the rear of the gearbox - secure the output shaft to the gearbox with a cable tie to prevent it from sliding out and spilling a significant amount of oil. Detaching the exhaust simplifies the process. I can extract one within an hour, using axle stands.
-
Indeed, I have observed all the problems associated with tires; these vehicles are exceedingly sensitive.
-
It appears to have malfunctioned if it ceases operation upon removing the fuse. Tires are typically the primary reason for this failure, but I presume you have encountered that information previously.
-
Greetings everyone! I suspect I am experiencing a problem with my transfer case. The wife drove the x5 and upon returning reported a wobble at speeds of 40 to 50 mph; I inspected the vehicle, suspected a bent wheel, replaced the wheels with my spare set, but discovered no damage, yet the wobble persisted, leading me to consider servicing the transfer case. Reset adaptations for the serviced transfer case, yet the wobble persists. 🤯 I replaced the front prop during my visit as a precautionary measure. I replaced the oil with Ravenol oil, but suspecting the car might not respond well, I switched to genuine BMW DTF1, yet it continues to wobble. I am currently at a total impasse. Has my transfer case failed? Removing the fuse ceases the wobbling! I possess an extra transfer case that I am contemplating installing, provided it is not a substantial undertaking. Does anyone possess any counsel? Causing me significant stress and contemplating executing x-delete 😂

Exide 096 AGM Car Battery 70Ah AGM700 EK700, Large : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

I would take the initiative to substitute it with a new AGM battery.
-
Is that a policy applicable nationwide for Auto Zone or specific to Ohio? The obligatory "core" fee in New York amounts to $5.
-
Transport the used battery to Auto Zone. They will provide you with $10 in exchange for it.

Due to my conviction in PREVENTIVE Maintenance, I seized the opportunity of the Toyota Parts Labour Day sale to purchase a new 12v battery, replacing the original one (which continues to function impeccably) in my TAH manufactured on 4/15. Acquired it yesterday; I merely need to find the time to install it. What should be done with the obsolete one? They did not impose the customary battery core/exchange fee on me.
-
To ensure tranquillity, it would be prudent to substitute it regardless; that is my recommendation. Why postpone until the most unfavourable time for it to ultimately cease functioning.
-
Investigate the replies to my inquiry regarding the instances when individuals have encountered the demise of their 12v batteries. Published in the preceding month. Limited responses, no genuine "fatalities".

My 2018 Avalon Hybrid has 122,000 miles and still contains the original 12-volt battery. It is operated on a highly consistent schedule. The initiation button activates it on the first press consistently. Curious about the anticipated duration of its continuation? Will there be any warning indicators, either on the dashboard or during the ignition process, suggesting it is nearing the end of its lifespan? Would you take the initiative to have it replaced or simply allow it to continue until it fails?

Yet another contented patron of the wheelshop has arrived. I suggest acquiring the kit that contains a jack. I intended to repurpose the jack from my compact Yaris, but the disparity in weight is excessive. The ratchet handle on the wheelshop jack is significantly more user-friendly than the conventional bent rod variant.

I possess a space saver wheel and kit acquired from The Wheel Shop. It accommodates the available space beneath the floor exceptionally well (once the polystyrene insert has been removed). Any of the equipment currently present can be repositioned in multiple locations, including within the new spare tire.
