  1. It is advisable to use a solution of isopropyl alcohol with a concentration of 70% alcohol and 30% water just for the purpose of spraying straight into the ventilation system. To maximize the efficiency of the spraying process in a specific region, it is advisable to activate the fan at its highest setting and direct the spray towards the intake duct located in the engine compartment. Additionally, removing the cabin filter may further enhance the effectiveness of the spraying process.Accessing the intake duck requires a certain level of effort, as it necessitates the removal of both the wiper arm and the two-piece plastic cover located at the bottom section of the windshield, under the wiper arms. The process of work, from initiation to completion, is indeed a valuable investment of time. It is advisable to have a shop vacuum or a household vacuum readily available, as it presents an opportune time to clean the area while the covers are removed. The significance of the cabin filter's pricing is contingent upon a comprehensive understanding of its specific brand and model. However, transitioning to a new one is preferable than not doing so.
  2. It is advisable to consider replacing the cabin filter. It is recommended that this service be conducted at each seasonal transition or during periods of increased air conditioning use, such as the summer months. Additionally, it is advisable to do this service when the vehicle is utilized in environments characterized by dust or smoke particles. Regarding the matter at hand, I now reside in the state of California, where a significant number of individuals are likely aware of the ongoing wildfires that have plagued our region. Although I do not have a personal relationship with them, I am geographically surrounded by them. The inherent atmospheric conditions and wind patterns have a tendency to accumulate smoke emissions originating from nearby fires, resulting in the deposition of ash particles upon my vehicle as I exit my garage. I have performed the task of cleaning my cabin filter on two separate occasions over the last 10-day period. During the summer season, it is recommended to periodically apply alcohol to all the vents about every three weeks. While I have not seen any evidence supporting the notion that this activity is beneficial, nor have I come across any instances of others engaging in it. I can attest to its efficacy based on personal experience.
  3. The proposed approach of a comprehensive reset path is intriguing; but, however, I am unable to evaluate its effectiveness since I have already resolved the issue by relocating to a different residence. The user expresses amusement through the acronym "LOL."
  4. I too had difficulties in achieving functionality with my own device. I reached out to a Garage Door firm listed on Yelp, which had shown their willingness to provide assistance. However, I refrained from engaging their services as I possessed a high level of certainty that I had exhaustively attempted all conceivable approaches to resolve the issue. One intriguing observation was that on some occasions, the conventional opener had difficulty in functioning properly when positioned directly in front of the door, even when equipped with fresh batteries. Consequently, it needed many attempts, often ranging from two to three pushes, to achieve the desired outcome. It is possible that the unit exhibited malfunctioning behavior, leading to intermittent instances when it erroneously prevented both the Homelink and the real opener from functioning properly. This might be attributed to a potential misinterpretation of both devices as unauthorized scanning efforts, although this remains speculative. However, it is important to acknowledge that my idea may be speculative and lacks substantial evidence. It is very probable that the following information is pertinent to Craftsman users who are experiencing difficulties with their homelink functionality. The HomeLink Compatibility Bridge Kit is a product that enables the integration of HomeLink technology with various home automation systems. After relocating, I found that the homelink button on my vehicle functioned well with the new garage opener at my new residence.
  5. The 2019 CX-5 GT model is equipped with the Homelink feature. The garage door opener in question seems to be a Craftsman type that is estimated to be around 15 years old. It is equipped with a battery backup feature, which is still functional, suggesting the possibility that it may be a newer model that was installed by a prior owner. In spite of having perused the handbook and seen instructional videos, I have encountered difficulties in successfully implementing the desired functionality. Initially, it is unclear as to why certain instructions suggest parking the vehicle in an outdoor location, unless this provision was devised by legal professionals as a precautionary measure in the event that an individual, due to their lack of awareness, inadvertently activates the door while adhering to this procedure, potentially causing harm to individuals or objects in its descent. To clear codes, it is necessary to press and hold buttons 1 and 3 until a fast blinking pattern is seen. To start the process, position the transmitter button at a distance of 2 inches and simultaneously press and hold button 1. Proceed to wait until a noticeable alteration in the blinking pattern occurs, characterized by a quick succession of blinks. To activate the door opening mechanism, please press the homelink button twice. It is important to note that in the case of a rolling code opener, the door may not open as anticipated. To initiate the learning process, the user should locate and depress the learn button, which is situated at the bottom of the door opener in the garage. Upon activation, a yellow light will illuminate on the opener. To initiate the desired action, it is recommended to engage the homelink button for a duration of 2 seconds, followed by a release, within a time frame of 30 seconds. This process should be repeated once more to ensure proper execution. The light on my garage opener exhibited a brief flashing behavior during the first two seconds of activation. Subsequently, no more response or action was seen, and repeated attempts to operate the garage opener using the Homelink button were unsuccessful, even after holding it down for a third or fourth time. I have come upon a video. According to the instructions, it is recommended to push the Homelink button three times without holding it for an extended period. This approach also proves ineffective. It is plausible to suggest that step 5 shown in the video may be erroneous. In Step 5, no discernible action occurs. However, an alternative approach involves pressing and holding the Homelink button, resulting in the illumination of the light on the garage opener after a brief delay of around 2-3 seconds. Subsequently, I proceeded to depress the Homelink button on three separate occasions, although no discernible outcome ensued. Upon pressing and holding the Homelink button, no further action is seen save for a quick blinking. There exists a device known as a "bridge" that may be purchased in order to facilitate the use of certain openers. Nevertheless, it seems to me that if the Homelink button elicits a flashing light from the opener, then it is indeed engaging in communication. Consequently, I would surmise that the inclusion of a "bridge" may not be essential in this scenario. However, I am unable to achieve the desired functionality. I have attempted almost all conceivable combinations, including the omission of step 3, as well as the execution of a single press-and-hold action throughout step 3. During a particular instance, the garage opener exhibited a second blinking occurrence upon my second or third sustained push while in learning mode. However, despite this observation, the garage opener ultimately failed to function as intended. I am now experiencing a significant level of frustration and exhaustion with this matter. If the presence of a bridge is not deemed necessary, the only plausible explanation I can now provide is that the inability to completely sever the power connection to the receiver during the first programming of the button, owing to the presence of a battery backup, would trigger the activation of the 'rolling code' function, causing the Homelink system to see it as an unfamiliar transmitter. However, I am skeptical of this claim, since the presence of the "Learn" button should render the aforementioned concerns irrelevant. In essence, it should temporarily deactivate the security feature associated with the rolling code mechanism in order to facilitate the learning process of the Homelink button.
  6. Is the suspension considered to be within the norms or standards? It seems that the geometry of the object in question exhibits a little variation, namely in the form of increased negative camber. However, it is possible that just the pictures are sufficient.
  7. Well done! What's it like to use an electronic valve in the exhaust system?
  8. Have you attempted to visit your authorized vendor? Identify the most junior member of the millennial generation present and solicit their assistance. The issue will be resolved shortly.
  9. The subject matter is intriguing and thought-provoking. I am pleased to hear that the issue was resolved promptly for you. Thank you for providing this information. I will carefully examine it and hope for a positive outcome.
  10. This situation is somewhat burdensome, isn't it? It seems that the display will alternate between the compass heads-up display (HUD) view and the conventional HUD view, which just presents the speed and a street picture. The dealer's assistance was unfruitful as they expressed their unfamiliarity with the situation at hand, stating, "This is an unprecedented occurrence for us." Please return it the following week. That occurred during the months of February or March, though. If a solution is discovered, please share it.
  11. Greetings! or Salutations! As a recent entrant into the Range Rover community, I am really enjoying my experience with the 2020 Evoque First Edition model. I am seeking input from those who possess knowledge of the procedure for deactivating the compass-oriented display, specifically pertaining to off-road information such as slope, wheel angle, and compass, as shown on the Heads Up Display. It seems that I inadvertently activated a button on the steering wheel, resulting in the display of supplementary data that is now visible and causing significant distraction. I have exhaustively explored all available options on the instrument panel in an attempt to deactivate it, although regrettably, I have been unsuccessful in my endeavors. If you have encountered this situation before, any assistance would be very appreciated.
  12. One could have assumed that the availability of BMW WDS (wiring diagrams) was widespread, however, it is now limited to unreliable Russian websites and requires the use of an outdated plug-in for functionality.
  13. I am uncertain about the condition of your window, but apart from that, I encountered issues with various components in my vehicle. After purchasing a throttle body for $800, which I did not utilize, I only needed to perform a proper tune, replace the spark plugs and wires, and address the throttle positioning sensor. The malfunctioning sensor can create the sensation of both the transmission and throttle body failing, when in reality, it is solely attributed to the sensor. Although it may appear to be related to the mass air flow sensor, it is not. Resetting the electronic control unit (ECU) can be accomplished by disconnecting both the negative and positive battery cables, waiting for a few minutes, activating any power-consuming devices to fully deplete the remaining power, and subsequently reconnecting the cables. Finally, depress the brake pedal. The concept of "10 timers" refers to a set of devices or instruments that measure or track time. To optimize the performance of your vehicle, it is recommended to gently tap the gas pedal several times before starting the engine. This action may help facilitate the smooth operation of the vehicle.
  14. They're the right size and work as advertised. The arrow on the retractor's knob should be facing upwards. It's not common, however the retractor may try to lock if you park the vehicle on an incline or decline.
  15. The BCS three-point belts that retract are mine. Use Restraints
  16. I think I'll be keeping this one for a long; it's that good B)
  17. Another option is the A6 Ultra, which, being an A6, is said to be both powerful and comfy. I have my doubts as to whether or not this one has anything to do with the controversy. The only other fuel-efficient choice would be a hybrid, but that would mean giving up your Audi.
  18. Considering making the switch to a gas-powered vehicle? Though 32,000 miles is a long way to go....
  19. Things have just begun, in my opinion (I'm sure "no win no fee" attorneys are gathering somewhere to start harassing us with calls). Is the controversy prompting you to return the automobile early?
  20. It's possible that your instrument cluster is broken and needs replacing or servicing. A malfunctioning display panel driver or, most likely, the brightness setting is to blame for the very bright blue backdrop.
  21. Huh, I'm not sure. Since it came from a different car, first, I'm wondering whether the fixing centres and bolts are compatible. If so, is there a noticeable change in the diameter of the tyres itself (the Mazda 17 and 19 inch wheels use different tyres, but their total diameter is the same)? To detect a drop in tyre pressure, a 2014 vehicle's tyre pressure monitoring system compares the rotational speeds of each wheel. It's likely to go off often if the outside diameters don't match.
  22. I've encountered references to 8.8s in multiple locations. Manufacturers can manipulate 0-60 times so that they are low to attract certain consumers or high to assist insurance premiums. Same goes for quoted wattage values. It can depend on how they configure the vehicle for testing, i.e. what burden (in terms of energy) they determine to place on the engine during testing. This may no longer be the case due to 'regulation', but it was previously known that BMW conducted their tests with a light load to give high stated power values, whereas Skoda tested with a heavy load to give lower power values than those measured 'on the road'. In the case of the Fabis vrs, for example, the quoted value (130bhp, I believe) was consistently exceeded, and by a significant margin!
  23. I'd say there's a possibility you'd do more damage than good by steaming, and the same goes for steam cleaning exteriors. I used to use hot water through our pressure washers; if you got heated water in a crack, it could cause paintwork to blister. I would say the most important aspect of doing a decent job is the strength of the substances you use. I used to use auto clever brisk , bio brisk. You can also use g101 from auto clever, which I'd say cleans better but smells less pleasant; however, you must be cautious as it can damage leather.
