  1. Thank you everybody, I am grateful. I contacted John Craddock and was informed that their supplier does not own the specific item in question. Consequently, I was compelled to go visit JLR. Upon reflection, I should have just adapted to the situation. I will verify those hyperlinks, thank you once more.
  2. The keyless entry for my wife's 2017 2.0D Autobiography is available. It is not unexpected that the lock on the front passenger door has malfunctioned. I reached out to a seller on Ebay and provided them with the VIN number, registration details, and such. Subsequently, they sent the "accurate" lock to replace the defective one. After removing the lock, which was quite simple after viewing several videos, I noticed that the provided lock had three cable attachments, whereas the one I removed only has two. I have reached out to the vendor to get their guidance. I neglected to install the replacement actuator and reassembled the door in its original configuration. Is anybody aware of the specific lock that I require? Enclosed herewith is an image. The first lock located on the right-hand side exhibits a total of two cable hookups. The number of replacements is three. Thank you for your assistance.
  3. Can anybody provide an estimate on the cost of a brake replacement for a 2023 R8? What is the duration of their lifespan?
  4. Hello everyone, I am about to purchase my 2023 Audi R8 RWD and have rejected most of the dealer's additional safeguards, save for the extended warranty. I am interested in learning about extra protective measures and if they are considered beneficial by those who have used them. The "Wear Protection" package costs $2500 and covers a duration of 4 years or 80,000 km. It includes 1 brake and rotor change, as well as battery and windscreen wiper replacements. The sales associate informed me that the price for non-ceramic new brakes on a R8 is $15,000 CAD. I intend to monitor this automobile, and if that is the situation, it does seem to be worthwhile. Uncertain whether I am being deceived, pun intended. Attached is a photo of their offerings.
  5. When my daughter was 10, we lived in Skiathos, and the three of us would go on a scooter together. 😁
  6. Why is it not possible to place her in a car seat in the back? That will be the most secure method. 👍👍
  7. The statistics consistently malfunction, causing the automobile to cool down and interrupt the regeneration process. Check the hidden menu to monitor the temperature, and if it remains below 80 degrees, adjust the settings. Cost-effective task. Do you own a code reader to check for any DPF failure codes? Once the vehicle reaches the appropriate temperature, drive it steadily at about 65 mph and continue to clear the error codes until the regeneration process begins. Good luck since dealing with difficulties like these may be challenging. Cheers
  8. Non-ceramic. This would need to be done after the transaction.
  9. I just received the same trim. The moroney sticker indicates that power folding mirrors are not included as standard, just power side mirrors with turn lights. I am curious if the document is deceptive or if there is a typographical error on their website. The S Premium model has Power Auto Fold side mirrors.
  10. Just discovered this discussion, so I apologise for my tardiness. This is the first instance I have seen of a petrol engine being equipped with a particle filter.
  11. The iPod/iPhone charges and plays via the USB in the top glove box but does not charge through the iPod dock. I must use the USB cord provided with the iPhone.
  12. Thank you for sharing. I now understand the reason why my iPod and iPhone are not charging. You cannot revert to previous versions of the Apple software/firmware. The issue also occurs with the iPod dock installed in my MY08 TDV8, indicating that it is not exclusive to MY10 integration.
  13. Additionally, consider visiting the UK site where there is a larger number of diesel owners. https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/index.php
  14. As indicated by the headline, what is your preferred supplementary attribute of the CX5? The head-up display is my preferred choice. Initially, I had a sceptical perspective about its use; but, I have now developed a desire for its widespread implementation in all automobiles. I have had the opportunity to operate several automobile models, ranging from the modest Fiat Panda to our CX5. It is my belief that all of these vehicles would see improvements in functionality if the driving information were shown inside the driver's direct line of sight.
  15. Yes, everything is satisfactory. Thank you. Indeed, I have experienced a single winter season in the United Kingdom with my just acquired Prius PHEV. The estimated range of the vehicle decreased to around 35 to 36 miles, however it should be noted that I like to travel at a slower pace. This morning, I completed a 2-mile trip to Morrisons using the electric vehicle (EV) mode. However, I switched to the hybrid vehicle (HV) mode for the last 1/4 mile when ascending a hill. Upon activation of the engine, the electric vehicle (EV) range experienced a decrease of about 0.6 miles. However, upon reaching the parking destination, the engine successfully replenished the EV range to its previous level and subsequently deactivated (entering EV mode). There likely exists an efficiency rationale behind this design choice, whereby the programming of the system enables the utilisation of a small portion of electrical energy from the Battery during instances when the engine is activated.
  16. It is accurate to state that the VW Golf GTE has the capability to override the computer system, so allowing the user to fully preserve the electric vehicle (EV) miles. Conversely, the Prius PHEV consistently prioritises actions that optimise overall efficiency with respect to the EV miles. I anticipate that my assertions may be subject to correction by others in relation to this matter.
  17. I would like to express my gratitude to TechnoTrailblazer for providing a coherent explanation. I am eagerly anticipating BhxTrev's insights on this matter. It is my belief that a little decrease in electric vehicle (EV) mileage is to be expected, contingent upon prevailing circumstances. Furthermore, the engine makes every effort to recover from this minor decrease. In general, it may be argued that using the battery's energy for a duration of at least 30 seconds, even during periods of engine inefficiency, yields a little increase in overall efficiency.
  18. Thank you for your insightful response. I have seen that my observations align well with your analysis. However, I am puzzled about the marginal decrease in electric vehicle (EV) mileage. The decline in altitude is not abrupt; rather, it exhibits a steady reduction of around 0.3 to 0.4 miles over a duration of approximately 30 to 40 seconds. However, it is worth noting that under certain situations, as you previously said, a significant portion of the "losses" may be recovered. The provided explanation about the observed phenomenon seems to be very insightful. It may be inferred that the Prius Brain has superior knowledge and understanding compared to human cognition. There does not seem to be any discernible issues present. The battery consistently maintains its charge level without experiencing unexpected reductions, consistently displaying the same electric vehicle (EV) range as seen on the previous day. I highly regard your perspective and express gratitude once again. I am open to receiving more insightful input from you and really appreciate it.
  19. Greetings to everybody, When transitioning from electric vehicle (EV) mode to hybrid vehicle (HV) mode, it has been consistently observed that there is a rapid decrease in EV miles by around 0.2 to 0.5 miles, despite the engine activating promptly. This outcome is unexpected, as one would anticipate the preservation or even a gain in EV miles during this transition. In essence, my understanding was that once the HV mode is engaged, the electric vehicle (EV) miles remain fixed. However, I have seen a little decrease in EV range, and while the engine does partially replenish the lost EV range (about 0.3 miles), it never returns to the initial level achieved upon activating the HV mode. I am inquiring about the normalcy of my present situation. Despite the lower temperatures, I am now able to get a full charge of around 43 miles. I would want to express my gratitude in advance for any input that I may get.
  20. I propose implementing a Paint Protection Film (PPF) over the anterior portion of the hood, ranging from 25% to 50% coverage.
  21. The high regenerative braking system was first used, but, under urban driving conditions, it was seen to have a quite forceful behavior. Returning to the standard mode of operation.
  22. I am in possession of a 2016 CX-5 in the color Soul Red. The only imperfections consist of three minor abrasions caused by the projection of road debris. Although I am aware of their presence, it is incumbent upon me to bring them to the attention of others. In contrast, my vehicle has a striking resemblance to more recent models released within the last year or two. Dealers often exhibit a preference for white and silver vehicles due to their ease of touch-up maintenance on the sales lot. The Soul Red variant indeed incurs a $500 surcharge; nevertheless, I believe this additional cost is justified given the enhanced safety features it offers. The colors white and silver become less visible in rainy conditions among dense vehicular congestion. I operated a commercial vehicle in a northern region for a brief while, during which the management implemented a uniform aesthetic by ensuring that all trucks were uniformly painted in the color red. In the event of being trapped during a snowstorm, it is possible to seek refuge inside our equipment. Notably, a red fender would exhibit visibility in snowy conditions, but a white fender would not.
