trikey
Hello everyone, I have had my Sportage for around three weeks and believe I have mastered all the technology except for one aspect. I comprehended from various movies and the manual that I might adjust the regeneration rate by using the paddles. Nevertheless, each time I do this, they alter the gear ratio. Can I adjust the regeneration in my HEV, or is it only controlled automatically? Thank you
mrnobady
In the Sportage HEV, the paddles are used for gear shifting. The charging process is mostly automated; however, using lift and coast techniques together with moderate braking may enhance battery recharging. When a route is programmed in the satellite navigation system, you may intermittently get a 'Coast' notification on the dashboard, prompting you to pull off the accelerator and coast. The PHEV may use the paddles for regenerative braking. A owner of a Sportage PHEV may verify.
ENVIOclev
It may be a figment of my brain, but our hybrid electric vehicle seems to regenerate more energy when I use sport mode to assess its speed while descending a lengthy slope.
trikey
Thank you for the prompt reply, which corroborates my prior belief. I am pretty satisfied with the automatic charging and have been using coasting and mild braking techniques. I am very satisfied with the vehicle so far; it represents a significant advancement over the 2018 Tiguan I previously operated.
stevenkeyte
You are correct, but just about the 2026 facelifted vehicles.

neilrr010
The paddles adjust the regenerative braking level on my EV6, but not on our 2022 Sportage PHEV. I want that they would, since I like a more assertive regeneration setup.
