  2. In the right boot gaiter, I think there might be a few faulty wires going to the diversity module. I thought you had finished the job, but now it seems to have gone wrong again.
  3. I'm about to lose it. The keyless entry system is inoperable, and the radio is unable to receive a clear signal from any station. On my laptop, I have run ISTA code checks, but no results have been returned. Just so you know, the car's central locking was completely inoperable when I initially purchased it. In order to fix the wiring and get the doors to work, I had to replace the locks. Driving and using the car have been the only activities since then. From always locking at range, to sometimes working, to now not working at all, the only ways to open the door are to use the metal blade, which triggers the alarm, or to press a button inside the car, or to remove the key from its slot. I had the alarm set up to sound an alert when it was activated or disarmed at first. Likewise, that is now ineffective. The key fob is missing a frequency, according to a locksmith. The vehicle seems to be ignoring it. So, when I look at the voltages on the diversity antenna, I see 12v (red with a yellow trace), 4v (yellow with a blue trace), 0v (red with a black trace)—which one is right? Activated wire for cars, etc. With the exception of the aftermarket stereo, the car is completely stock; the central locking system was initially compatible with both the stock and aftermarket stereos. I have taken care of the following... A variety of antennas Wiring for the Boot Hinge (Rear Only) Two ground straps fastened to the boot lid (the ground is linked to the new ground wires and DA nuts). Power source for vehicles Battery for key fob (sends signal) I checked and replaced the fuses. Replacement of door lock actuators Specifically, it is a 2009 LCI 320D E91. Non-comfort access. If needed, I can provide the VIN. I would be eternally grateful for your guidance; I am in dire need of any advice you can provide. It would mean a lot to me if you could correct me or ask me questions because I could be completely wrong. You have my utmost gratitude.
  4. It might be worth checking out carmin.com, though I'm confused by the diagrams there.
  5. The information I found regarding the vehicle was not accurate enough. The wiring appears to vary by MY (manufacturer's model year; this time, "build date" is irrelevant). Depending on the type of head unit, a "2015" model may not actually be a 2015 model year, as is customary in every year of change. VIN is useful. Are you pursuing CAN A or CAN B as well?
  6. Much obliged for the response. No, I require the harness wiring diagram located at the back of the stereo, which must include the proper CAN wiring sequence. The wiring seems a bit jumbled to me, and I wonder if that's the source of some of the problems we're having. Your confirmation of the correct pinout and CAN H/L order would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Hello, Use pins 6 and 14 on the OBD connector for the simplest way to read/write to the NTG system via the canbus. A Guide to Wiring the 16-Pin OBD Port (UK)—OBD2 Pinout Diagram
  8. May I kindly request assistance in locating the 2015 Mercedes CLS X218 radio harness wiring diagram? Please tell me where on the back of the radio harness the CAN High (CAN H) and CAN Low (CAN L) connections should be. Could someone please provide me with the complete pinout and wiring diagram for the radio connector? I would be very grateful. Before I attach anything to the 2015 X218/NTG system, I want to double-check that the pin positions I have are correct. I have seen information that shows CAN lines on Mercedes radio connectors. Thank you ahead of time.

  10. I will capture a picture of the error once it happens again. Whether it's a warning that the camera facing forwards and out is blocked or that the camera facing me inside is blocked, I can't tell.
  11. Does the rearview mirror have condensation? In that spot, you'll find the sensors.
  12. The prescription sunglasses my wife wears are constantly making noise. There are a few of these safety measures that are downright annoying.
  13. Is this happening while you're sporting polarising sunglasses? From what I've heard, it can occasionally interrupt. In addition, the EV3 would complain whenever I wore my regular spectacles and drove into the sun. If you're not referring to the driving monitoring camera, then Ignore this whole thing 🙂
  14. Greetings to all. Just over one month into owning an EV2 GT line S. There have been five or six times when the driver camera has been obscured. It typically shows up after about twenty seconds of driving and goes away after a few minutes. Is it as simple as wiping down the windscreen where the camera rests, or is there a more significant issue? I would like to know if anybody else is experiencing the same thing.
  15. Michelin Cross Climates, which are still premium tires but more affordable than Scorpions, were the ones I used instead of Pirellis.
  16. Absolutely! However, they aren't Pirelli.
  17. I've also made sure that my Evoque (and other vehicles) only have premium tires. You can't get off the road without them!
  18. The forum community should exercise caution when receiving seemingly suspicious responses, such as this one.
  19. Being a premium car, I have always ensured that it has premium tires. Specifying Pirellis as OEM is common for a reason. The problem with cheaper brands can be that they cut corners on things like wear rates and other details. My Pirellis were good for 60,000 miles.

  22. Greetings everybody. I notice that most UK forum members recommend Pirelli Scorpions, but I was hoping to hear about anyone's bad experiences with the much cheaper Kumho Crugen HP71s for touring and around-town use in Australia (where you won't have to worry about snow, slush, ice, or off-roading). Yesterday, while repairing a 2014 Evoque TD4 that was fitted with Goodyear 255/50r20 tires in July 2017, we managed to tear a significant chunk out of one of the tire's sidewalls. A complete set of replacements seems reasonable considering their age and some general rubber cracking. The Kumhos are recommended for "reduced road noise and comfortable highway cruising" according to reviews, which is something we're interested in. The price for a set of these tires is AUD$960, which is less than the $1520 we were quoted for the Pirellis. What do you think?
  23. Something new. Under the vacuum pump, on the front left side (when looking from the front), is where you can find the shutter valve/anti-shudder valve. It looks like a throttle valve, but CDIs don't actually have any. Its sole purpose is to create a vacuum when the engine is turned off (thus eliminating the thump heard on older diesels) and, on occasion, to partially close (again, to aid EGR flow), so that the engine does not overheat. The derv engine's speed is mostly unrestricted because the only controls are the duration and pressure of the injectors, not a throttle. A spray hole would be created by the easily detachable air intake temperature sensor located on the rear of the device.
  24. I am grateful. However, the om651 inlet manifold's swirl flaps serve as the shutter valve. By "valve," did you mean this particular one?
  25. Yes, you could remove it at the shutter valve (also known as an anti-shudder valve or throttle valve) and spray it in there from the top of the engine compartment. Another option is to use the hole behind the shutter valve, just below it, or the one through which the air intake temperature sensor sits. It's still quite a distance to the intake, but that's the closest easy point.
  26. Thank you for getting back to us. Had to be replaced because we didn't know what was wrong with the swirl flaps before they were removed, and it took too long to order and receive them. Time to clean the old Manifold at an hourly rate wasn't a big deal, and the Manifold was reasonably priced. I will locate the catch-all space and option. I think you can spray the intake cleaner into the intercooler pipe from underneath. I am grateful.
