Their appearance is impressive. Original Equipment Manufacturer Plus
-
Audi did not produce a mesh RS-style grille for the first generation. There are several aftermarket models available, all of them are manufactured in China. Nonetheless, we manufacture an RS-style mesh grille using the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Gen 1 grilles. Many buyers on this forum have purchased hundreds of items. The quality of this version is far superior than the Chinese one, however it comes at a higher price.

Which brand of MAF sensor should I use as a replacement?
nickoyster4 replied to DreamCatcher88's topic in General Car Chat
Pierburg was once the original equipment supplier for several early BMW models, therefore it may be worth considering. -
In Spring 2023, I purchased a 2022 A class vehicle and was offered a care package at a set monthly cost of £34. I was informed that this price was decreased because the car was still considered new. When comparing the cost of 12 months of servicing at £34 per month with the pricing of services at other garages, there is little disparity. Based on my previous encounters, I have seen that Mercedes shops possess a lesser degree of expertise and interest in the vehicle compared to independent Mercedes specialists. Consequently, I am contemplating the cancellation of my care plan, especially after my recent first service. For example, I received information from an engineer at Mercedes Birmingham that Wayne at WDM informed me. Mercedes has superior knowledge of the brand Mercedes compared to any employee of the company, and seems to understand that the primary objective of the dealerships is to sell automobiles. Does anybody else believe it is preferable to choose an independent Mercedes specialist?

Phone sync difficulties with RNSE - RSNE update?
nickoyster4 replied to MidnightMarauder's topic in General Car Chat
I am curious whether it is just contemporary smartphones that lack complete compatibility with the first iterations of Bluetooth. While it is theoretically expected, it is likely that there will be limited testing time available to support these outdated standards in reality. around a decade ago, I configured my phone using the R8 model, but I have not done so with any subsequent devices, which occurred around 5 years ago. I recall that it was outdated at that time, lacking features such as phone book synchronisation and dialling choices. However, it was ideal in that it prevented me from using the phone while on a leisurely drive. -
Commencing with the 2024 model, some trim levels have transitioned from standard USB ports to USB-C ports. It may be necessary to get a new cable or an adapter.

Why choose the 3er or 5er when there is a set available for our 6er. I purchased BMW all-weather mats for my 6 Series Gran Coupe.

Washing - soap leaking into engine compartment
nickoyster4 replied to CyberMage's topic in General Car Chat
Indeed. I have consistently used a pressure washer on my 2 R8's and 3 Huracans. Minimal water enters the engine compartment, with most of it coming from the hatch opening and dripping off. Begin at the highest point and consistently spray downwards. -
Missing feature in CX-90 Turbo S Trim
nickoyster4 replied to norbury.brook's topic in General Car Chat
I am frustrated that my Turbo S level does not have auto-tilt mirrors as advertised in the official Mazda literature. I test drove the vehicle and didn't verify that specific feature, assuming it was included based on my study on the trim level. Still enamoured with the automobile, but feeling irritated. Twice, I have had a strange occurrence where the passenger mirror in my vehicle automatically moves all the way down and hits the stops, unable to travel any farther down. Unusual little insect. Does the Turbo S level have automatic tilt mirrors while in reverse? According to Mazda's literature, yes, although its reliability is questionable. I have discovered the solution to this. This is my first experience using CarPlay, so I am a novice. Being a dedicated Apple user, I was frustrated that my 2017 Dodge Durango did not have CarPlay, which was introduced in the 2018 model. Here is the reason for the WiFi: Wireless carplay uses Wi-Fi for transmitting data such as Maps and Music. Bluetooth establishes the connection, but the data transfer occurs via Wi-Fi. Bluetooth lacks sufficient bandwidth and requires Wi-Fi for data transmission.
-
On another forum, it was mentioned that the CX-90 used a WiFi connection for CarPlay. Does anybody know the reason? Is there a specific rationale for choosing WiFi over Bluetooth? Bluetooth can simultaneously connect several devices, but WiFi can only connect one device at a time. This is likely to result in more problems.

The charger for my iPod 10 is not functioning properly.
nickoyster4 replied to WhisperingWillow's topic in General Car Chat
Apple's modification of the charging specifications for iPods has led manufacturers and OEM suppliers to make adjustments within their usual extended lead times. A comparable conversation has taken place on DISCO3 lately. -
I have considered the possibility; but, however, it is not feasible in the geographical location where I now reside. Is it necessary to remove the front driver wheel? I have perused many online discussions wherever individuals have engaged in this practise. I am now endeavouring to engage in proactive planning due to a limited availability of tools, as compared to my previous circumstances. I am considering the utilisation of 2x12 ordinary timber, which will be doubled and stacked to achieve a height of 3 inches on all four corners. According to prevailing norms, I possess a slender physique.

Is it possible to do a front differential oil change without the need of lifting the SUV using a jack?
-
My vehicle is a 2009 E70 3.0 X drive. I purchased the BMW 75W90 Differential Service Kit - Liqui Moly from FCP Euro for the rear. I have encountered information on the modification of the fill up level required, which has resulted in a considerable amount of misunderstanding. I am using a pragmatic method, sometimes referred to as the "common sense approach," which involves filling the container to its maximum capacity until it reaches the point of overflow.
-
Do you know whether the front and back use the same oil? A few weeks ago, I swapped out the back end. Is it possible to swap out the front without having to hoist the SUV? What's more, I think I read that I need a flat hex? Thanks
