I have successfully resolved the enigma of the flat chairs. I became intrigued and subsequently began a series of experiments. I have a recollection of acquiring huge rectangular containers from the IKEA store, which included disassembled couch components. During that period, the seats of my 2022 CX-9 GT were folded in a manner that approximated a flat configuration. There are no problems encountered while loading them in. The folding mechanism of the object allows it to achieve a nearly flat configuration, with both sides folding inward at an approximate angle of 5 degrees. Nevertheless, there are two distinct levers available for operation. The higher lever facilitates the forward tilting of the seat, so enabling access to the third row. Conversely, the lower lever is designed to fold the seat into a flat position. The functionality of the bench is limited to the smaller section, constituting about 40% of its total surface area. However, when the bench is folded into a flat position, it remains possible to use the top lever to further lower the seat. Consequently, a little decline is achieved, resulting in an enhanced level of flatness. Due to unspecified constraints, it is not feasible to perform the aforementioned action on the larger segment, which constitutes 60% of the bench. The bottom lever enables the folding of the object to a flat position, while the top level remains non-functional, resulting in the seat remaining in its standard flat configuration. The visual representation closely resembles the images provided by the original poster. The spacing between the second and third rows is contingent upon the original placement of the bench, since it has the ability to be adjusted forwards or backwards. I concur that there is a discernible gap, even in the distant past. From my own perspective, this gap presents a favourable circumstance as it allows me to strategically position or conceal certain goods inside it. When embarking on camping excursions, it is customary to include camping chairs or umbrellas in one's inventory. These items are chosen for their slim dimensions, ensuring compatibility with the available space.

I like the distinction made between the concepts of 'masking' and 'eradicating', which may be likened to addressing symptoms rather than addressing the root cause. However, while purchasing a pre-owned Mk1 MX-5, it was evident that the vehicle emitted a strong odour of cigar smoke. This was likely due to the previous owner, who had first purchased the car new and then used it for commuting purposes to Greece, consistently smoking a large cigar with the vehicle's hood up during the whole journey. Consequently, all of the fabric elements, including the roof, had absorbed the smoke. During a period of limited access to professional or educated amateur guidance for an extended duration, I made the decision to position two incense burners on a steel tray located in the footwells of both the passenger and driver sides of the vehicle. The aforementioned behaviour may be characterised as both foolish and dangerous. However, it is worth noting that the scent of cigars dissipated permanently, and the lingering aroma of incense inside the vehicle ceased to exist as well. Did the burners eliminate or conceal?

Generation 4 Prius Plug-In Hybrid-EV Conversion
nickoyster4 replied to NAVITEL's topic in General Car Chat
Apologies for the misunderstanding, but I misinterpreted the title of this discussion topic. As my Prius lacks a plug-in feature, it is inherently incapable of providing any kind of input. It is likely that my age is a contributing factor. -
I am now in a state of retirement and have reached the age of 52. There is no inherent value in possessing the most wealth among deceased individuals. I have just acquired a Kawasaki Z900 RS Cafe motorcycle to enhance my enjoyment under favourable weather conditions.

I consistently use my X3 M40d vehicle in sport mode. I refrained from engaging in idle conversation and instead focused on monitoring the vehicle's fuel efficiency.

Is the navigation system a worthwhile investment?
nickoyster4 replied to TechnoTrailblazer's topic in General Car Chat
The perceived value of an item or service may not be commensurate with its cost, even if the latter is zero. Navigation systems are considered to be a remnant of the past and are expected to become obsolete, similar to the fate experienced by TomTom and Garmin, since smartphones have gained widespread use. Technological advancements progress rapidly, so that even if one were fully informed on the latest developments at a given point in time, such knowledge would become obsolete within a short span of time. -
During the process of purchasing a 2021 CX30, I expressed a preference for a vehicle in the color red. Based on the advice of my sales representative, I was discouraged from proceeding with the purchase owing to concerns over potential chipping problems. Uncertain about the current status of the issue.

Is there a straightforward solution for this issue?

Indeed, I am acquainted with an individual who had a really severe laceration on their finger while manipulating the chrome component responsible for elevating the seat. -

I am now experiencing difficulties with starting a 1996 328 convertible. Despite successfully cranking the vehicle, it fails to start. I am in urgent need of assistance. In my attempt to resolve the issue, I have replaced a faulty DME unit with a replacement sourced from eBay. Additionally, I have bypassed the EWS system. As a result, fuel is being supplied to the engine, but there is a lack of spark.

I wouldn't call it "Jag-like." They're just too hefty looking, too. Wires that are encased in plastic? Indeed a block heater.
-
I agree that it most likely is residential wiring.
-
I now wondered whether it wasn't a "block heater" customized for use in regions with harsher winters. Does ohming help? Perhaps with the ignition and motor both switched off? I have no idea what it may be and am just guessing. Variable resistance when running or stopping might be indicative of a pressure device. If the resistance remains the same in both states, it might be used as a heater. The cables seem bulkier than what's required for a transmitter. That's just my guess, however.
-
The 3.5L engine shown in the factory handbook has a "plug" in that port. Similarly to Larry, I don't think we've ever seen an oil pressure sensor installed on any 3.5s we've worked on. The presence of two cables suggests that an electrical OP gauge was installed in the automobile at some time.

Unfinished Maintenance. Need Help Figuring This Out.

What you're claiming is that 'all they did' was re-gas the air conditioning and perhaps charge you for their own Star diagnostic. If that's the case, I'm not sure what legal standing you'd have to demand that they 'repair it' for free. I don't see why they should replade it for free if their diagnostic indicated that the actuator needed to be replaced and you didn't pay them to do so. Or am I missing anything here? -
Shiny, mmm. A+ work

The 255/85s will be higher but thinner than the 265/75s I use on my 16-inch sawtooths, so they should fit without an issue. Since the 255/85s are often only available in an MT, it's worth noting that you may want to consider beads rather than normal weights for balance purposes. It's possible that a little tweak to the stops is all that's needed to eliminate friction at full steering lock. The ET20 specification will be stamped on the hub of factory-fresh sawtooth wheels.
