Six-month thoughts on the CX90 PHEV

That's it, indeed. That sounds more like a crushing sound to me, although the hard drive analogy is true. -
Six-month thoughts on the CX90 PHEV

I absolutely agree! I believe it's altering the amount and direction of air flow, but it sounds like they're using inexpensive parts to do it, and there's a noticeable plastic sliding sound that almost sounds like the dash is cracking. -
Hi everyone, We spent the summer leasing our first Mazda, a 25 CX-90 PHEV, and I thought I'd share my opinions after six months. Advantages: Handling. I adore this car's handling. From little vans to GMC Yukons, practically all SUVs and vans have a body roll feel. Compared to all of others, this handles MUCH better. truly appreciate how cosy and comfortable driving is. AWD Over the past week, there have been two distinct 5-inch-plus snowstorms in Pennsylvania. It performs admirably. Amazingly good! I am accustomed to 4WD since I own a 2500 Ram and have owned numerous other full-sized trucks. So far, the get-in-and-go AWD has done a great job handling snow. When there is a lot of snow, switching to off-road mode gives you a sense of confidence because it performs more like a manual gearbox, employing downshifting to slow down and requiring much less braking. Comfort: I prefer the "sit in" sensation of SUV seats over the typical sit-on feel. Style: The style is sharp overall. Driving on electricity I adore how the EV feels and how quiet it is. When the gas motor starts, it's unfortunate. I only wish we had more miles. screen and dash. I adore the shorter/wider screen, though opinions may obviously differ. Additionally, I've come to like the control knob, which at first I thought was really unpleasant. I generally enjoy the controls and dash. Cons: The dreaded EV service only took 400 kilometres to reach us. went to the shop for a month to obtain a new EV battery. The loaner was given, but we weren't very happy with it. awkward transition from EV to petrol. The back and forth is a little awkward, but I'm not sure what can be done about it. auto features including wipers and high beams. Horrible! They're just awful when compared to a lot of other automobiles, though I wish I could claim they're not amazing. particularly the wipers. When a small amount of road dirt gets on your windscreen, observe how the wipers repeatedly accelerate to full speed in an attempt to clear it. High beams are prone to confusion. Unless I'm on a vast open interstate, auto cruise control is completely unreliable, and even then, it likes to hug the queue. In general, Mazda needs to improve its automotive characteristics and appears to be lagging behind in the field of artificial intelligence and technology. Start remotely. I love the electric warm-up. In a few minutes, the car will be warm. However, there are moments when using the app is quite unpleasant. There's no reason why the factory shouldn't include a remote start button, particularly when the engine still needs to start despite a low battery. "Clicky" noises from the air conditioner are annoying. I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds like cheap plastic parts moving while the vents are changing in auto mode. We like this automobile overall. It handles well, has a pleasant riding quality, and is entertaining and useful. I sincerely hope they release a model that is entirely electric. Although I'm happy we have this car and hope there won't be any more problems, I would also really like to see Mazda make significant investments to address some of the problems.

Indeed, the cost for the components alone amounts to almost $10,000.

Reattach the blower immediately! Numerous blown 156s are reported on the US site I frequent, affecting both the 204 and 212 versions, which appear to be rather reliable when operating with reasonable boost levels. With a moderate modification, you can achieve an increase of 150 horsepower; beyond 1000 horsepower is possible with substantial financial investment....and a substantial amount of torque precisely where it is required! The supercharger whine enhances the auditory experience of the 156's performance.

I had consistently been loyal to the RAC and frequently endorsed them, but an incident this year irrevocably altered my perspective. In May, my 12-volt battery discharged completely. I succeeded in entering the vehicle, but that was the extent of my accomplishment—I was unable to secure it. I utilised the application to solicit assistance and received a notification indicating they will contact me once a patrol was located. After some time, I was informed that someone would attend to me in around four hours. Suboptimal, although I was at home rather than stranded. This occurred at approximately 11:30. At 12:45, I received another message indicating they were exceedingly busy and would need to reschedule for the following day, which meant my car would be unlocked on a public road throughout the night. I contacted them to elucidate the issue and was informed that they will assess the matter and respond within the hour. No one made a call. Upon my subsequent contact, they acknowledged the receipt of my call but indicated that no action had been taken. In a state of despair, I resorted to Green Flag. They were unable to provide a specific time but indicated that assistance was available. At approximately 15:00, I received a message indicating that a technician will endeavour to come by 16:30. Thirty minutes later, I received a call from him indicating he would arrive in twenty minutes. He arrived punctually, and within ten minutes, my automobile was operational once more.

If you still appreciate the vehicle, rectify the rust issues. That engine is expected to increase the mileage you have already achieved without significant issues. -
I encountered analogous issues, albeit with an older model. The driver's side would emit warm air quite immediately, whereas the passenger side took an extended period, possibly 30 to 60 minutes into the voyage. This would vex Mrs. F on wintry mornings. I replaced the water pump, which subsequently addressed the issue with the dual valve that had begun leaking and appeared to have been malfunctioning for some time. Issue resolved.

Could you kindly explain how you diagnosed the issue? In Poland, there exists equipment to assess damping effectiveness in vehicles; however, similar technology is absent in the UK. My rear Koni shocks seem to be excessively bouncy lately, causing my vehicle to rebound over speed bumps once again, prompting my curiosity. Thank you

W204 Comand Satellite Navigation Update

If you own NTG4 (specifically pre-facelift 204, as in my case), you want authentic MB DVDs; the most recent update was released in 2019. Therefore, search eBay for NTG4-204 DVDs (do not confuse with NTG4-212, as they are distinct). However, if your 204 is a facelift model (if I recall correctly, model year 2011 and newer), it is likely equipped with NTG4.5, which requires a PIN unique to your VIN, along with the corresponding DVDs. Both may be acquired from Mercedes-Benz or select independent dealers such as Comandonline in Lightwater, Surrey (forum sponsors!). Utilize a free online VIN decoder to ascertain the version of your Comand system associated with your VIN. Avoid counterfeit DVDs, since they may damage your Comand system—costly repercussions! -
Indeed, connect it to a CTEK or a comparable charger until it indicates a full charge, leave it overnight, and assess its condition the next day.

I use a mix of audio files on a USB drive and music saved on my Samsung phone using Android Auto. I have not own a vehicle equipped with a CD player since 2017. Prior to that, I used an iPod.

I purchased the Husky cargo liner. It includes a seat back protector, although it is constructed as a single unit. The installation instructions need you to bisect it to detach the seat back. I must confess I was quite apprehensive about proceeding, but I used a straight edge, resulting in a flawless fit.

Minimal torque is required for tightening if access is sufficiently convenient. Is there any banging sound when you shake the steering wheel when stationary, especially with the engine turned off? The braking components, often referred to as torsion arms, are the suspension arms extending from the hub to the front of the subframe. Any movement in these components may result in noise.

I am uncertain if a thrust piece is available for that vehicle; it is only produced for ThyssenKrupp racks. I have only installed it on the X3 and 3 Series. In the absence of specialised tools, it becomes a process of trial and error to eliminate play without excessively tightening, which would hinder the steering's self-centering ability. If it is not a Thyseen rack, I guess you will either need a new rack or need to submit yours for reconditioning.

I purchased my automobile from them, and it seems to be functioning OK; however, I have only had it for eight months. I do not use their auto servicing; instead, I take my vehicle to a nearby Honda dealer, hence I cannot provide commentary on their after-service care. Nonetheless, if that is the situation, it seems to be a matter of buyer beware.

I purchased it from Honda Marshall (Reading) with 23,000 miles on the odometer. The only method to ascertain this is to either consult another Honda dealer or locate another owner for comparison. I presume it has a guarantee from Honda Marshall. If so, you should ensure there is no genuine problem with the automobile before the expiration and resolve it promptly. The more you postpone addressing any concerns, the more challenging it will become to resolve them. If it is determined that there are no difficulties, I can only state that based on your description, it does not resemble the automobile I am operating.

I have just noticed this; I apologise for the delayed response. This does not seem accurate. I own a 2021 1.5, which is among the most silent vehicles I have ever used. Upon first startup, it tends to idle at a slightly elevated RPM, but stabilises after around one minute; otherwise, it operates very quietly. The gearbox exhibits little notchiness; yet, it remains accurate and free of vibrations. I recommend that you get the engine and gearbox mounts inspected. It is advisable to have a Honda dealer inspect the vehicle, particularly if it still under warranty.
