Greetings. This has detached from the underside of my BMW 1 Series 118 coupe. I am inquiring about the issue where the gear box is shifting smoothly as expected, but there is no forward motion when I release the clutch, accompanied by a grinding sound. Assistance in any kind would be very appreciated.

In 2021, when I was deciding an electric vehicle (EV) to purchase, I intentionally avoided considering the EQC due to my scepticism about the technological capabilities of Mercedes-Benz's EVs at that time. The EQC seems to be a lacklustre effort by Mercedes-Benz to produce an electric vehicle that is only a secondary option. I chose the IONIQ 5 instead and it exceeded my expectations. Recently, I returned from a trip to Switzerland where the car performed exceptionally well in terms of reliability, refinement, high-speed driving on the Autoroute (110-120km/h), fast charging (175-220kWh, depending on the charger), energy consumption, and range. Hyundai successfully made a sincere endeavour in developing their electric vehicle technology, which resulted in positive outcomes for the company. Regrettably, it is disheartening to see that MB has yet to organise themselves well. I had high expectations that MB would make progress and subsequently surpass their competitors with their E-Class and S-Class electric vehicles. Which electric vehicle will I get next, at the expiration of my lease in 2025?

Indeed, I do not encounter any problems with the system on the motorways, where it is specifically designed for. However, I strongly dislike its persistent pulling effect when driving on narrow A roads. Frankly, I find it quite hazardous in such situations. Consequently, I deactivate the system every time I start the car and only activate it on motorways as a precautionary measure in case I become drowsy and unintentionally doze off. It resembles a collection of 'safety' precautions devised by NCAP, which are very beneficial in the specific situations they are intended for. However, NCAP fails to thoroughly consider all the consequences before urging countries to adopt them. One current topic of discussion is the implementation of speed limiters in the Euro Zone starting in July. While this may seem beneficial, it relies heavily on accurate technological information, such as map data, to function properly. However, we are well aware that this data is often incorrect, which means it is highly likely that the system may allow you to exceed the speed limit when you shouldn't. This could lead to situations where you end up driving slowly on the motorway, causing frustration for trucks and potentially causing traffic congestion as they try to overtake you at a speed of 60 mph. However, I suppose that may be considered development.

An automated strategy to deactivate lane assist

That would be excellent. -
After reading the Danish brochure, which confirms the information, I have sent a message to my nearby Mazda dealer to inquire about it. Let's observe what they have to say.

Anomalous vibration occurs at around 5000 revolutions per minute.

Now you see the reason why I hired someone to handle all the tasks for myself. Don't misunderstand me, I really like getting involved in hands-on labour and working on automobiles. However, it just appeared to be too demanding to do alongside my full-time job and my desire to fully enjoy the car. I hope that you are able to successfully resolve the matter. I have not personally experienced driving a SC mx5 without twin TB, however I have been informed that it produces a considerable amount of noise. -
Assistance with the IC module is requested.

It is impossible to programme a previously owned one. It is a component of the car's security and odometer display system, ensuring safety. The combination of electronics and water is incompatible. Unless one is fortunate enough to locate someone capable of restoring the old machine, it is unlikely to function and will likely have further failures even after cleaning. Additionally, it is not sufficient to just connect a new one and expect it to function properly. Instead, you must complete the Initial Startup procedure using online Xentry in order to synchronise it with the vehicle and programme it according to the car's specifications. Additionally, there are several electrical ducts including connections located under the floor. It is essential to thoroughly clean, replace, or repair these components, as they may significantly impede the car's ability to start. Regrettably, I must convey only negative information. -

It is not functional. These tools are a component of the anti-theft system. I have examined the available tools that may reset instrument clusters to their original state, but none of them are compatible with the newest generation Instrument Cluster controller. Consequently, there is currently no known method to restore them to their factory settings. -

From whence did you get the new module? The fact that it is 'Taught in' is peculiar, unless the diagnostics you are using have the capability to do that function (while not being able to execute the drive authorization procedure). This leads me to believe that the device in question is pre-owned. whether the cluster controller is not new but used, it is necessary to have it reset to its original state, a process known as "virginising." However, I am uncertain whether this can be done with W177 cluster controllers. After the virginising process, the controller has to be linked with the automobile and undergo coding procedures, among other steps. -
Deciding between rebuilding or replacing - struggling with indecision

Dispose of the damaged automobile and purchase an intact gasoline-powered vehicle that is in good running condition, has a valid MOT for an extended period, and has a complete and continuous service history without any periods of being unlicensed or off the road. It is preferable for the vehicle to have had fewer previous owners. Ensure that the colour is not red and verify whether the rear subframe has been replaced. -
Mazda will provide an official trunk hard sill protection in the future. I am uncertain about the specific timing. They have been somewhat slow in keeping up with the latest trends in these accessories. Even their top-tier all-weather mats have not been released yet, along with WeatherTech and Tuxmat. This failure to take advantage of the opportunity to beat WeatherTech and TuxMat to the market and attract customers who are unwilling to wait, as well as those who prefer to purchase original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products, is a significant oversight. I am particularly intrigued since based on appearances, the premium all-weather mats seem to be rather satisfactory, albeit they may not have as high walls as the TuxMats.

It is possible that there was a localised mast outage. I will attempt to test it again tomorrow, and if it functions properly, it is probable that the issue was caused by an external factor unrelated to the automobile. If the current solution is not effective, you will need to investigate more deeply.

The occurrence is contingent upon the car's inability to get a cellular signal. Were you situated in an unusual place?

I received a same letter. Upon seeing the acronym EPA, I immediately recognised it as a representation of the Environmental Protection Agency, which led me to believe that the information being discussed is likely related to California and may be seen as misleading or false.

Excellent performance👏Impressive collection. The Mx-5 is the last addition needed to complete the collection.🙂

Although I do like your present ones, I must admit that if you are seeking a change, the new ones are rather eye-catching.

Tyre repair kits for do-it-yourself (DIY) use.
Rudy7831 replied to VVC-Geeza's topic in General Car Chat
Neither my current 3 Series Touring nor my prior generation one have this feature. Indeed, I did bring a spare tyre in the trunk for my lengthy journeys. My existing automobile is unable to accommodate my extensive work equipment. -

Why not use the screws instead? There are many sizes available, so choose the one that fits best. The threads are already coated with a sealant, and all you need is a screwdriver and a compressor to complete the task. -

I have equipped all of our vehicles and my bike with screws and a screwdriver as a contingency measure. I already had the strings, but I have never used either of them. There are several YouTube videos demonstrating the simplicity of using the screws, which influenced my decision. -
Can an independent expert really possess greater knowledge on an automobile as modern as that? I would have expected that it would need a significant amount of time for them to handle enough automobiles and accumulate a sufficient amount of information. Staff employed by authorised dealers are more likely to have undergone training programmes specifically designed for these models.

I believe engaging in racing or any other activities on public roadways is ill-advised. A potential issue on the verge of occurrence. Nevertheless, exquisite automobiles are meant to be admired by everyone. Not only do we serve as the owner, but there are others involved as well. It is advisable to have someone else listen to and observe the automobile. I am willing to make extra effort to ensure that everyone who recognises my vehicles knows that I also value their passion for automobiles. Exhibiting arrogance and deliberately disregarding someone's presence is just impolite. Automobile lovers are among the most amiable individuals you will ever encounter. I provide access to almost everyone who want to occupy a seat within my vicinity during a cars and coffee event.
