Fault with the seven-speed automatic gearbox
Rudy7831 replied to BENZE220AMG's topic in General Car Chat
It is necessary to retrieve problem codes using the star machine. Common issues include wear in valve bodies and dual clutch units. Given the age of the vehicle, you should have completed three gearbox oil maintenance by now. -
Inquiry Regarding S211 E280 LED Interior Lighting
Rudy7831 replied to BENZE220AMG's topic in General Car Chat
By "upgrade," do you imply a more luminous option? The vehicle employs a CANBUS system, which may not register sufficient current demand from the LED lamps, resulting in power shutdown. Are the new lights compatible with CANBUS? -

Thank you one again. I will proceed with it and replace the plugs concurrently.

alternative codes - I have many codes to address. The predominant issues linked to the stereo system stem from a technician who "repaired" the original equipment manufacturer Bang & Olufsen amplifier by severing the harness and manually connecting a small Bose unit as a substitute after failing to recode a new OEM amplifier. It was a two-year ordeal. Certain codes remain enigmatic to me, since the components seem to function well (the fuel door and central locking operate perfectly despite displaying codes). Initially, I considered plugs or coils; however, I began to doubt this reasoning since everything seemed to "reset" when turning off the ignition. It is reassuring to know that you share the same initial sentiments.

Hello, I am experiencing a persistent issue with misfiring and cylinder deactivation and would much appreciate any assistance. The vehicle operates efficiently until I speed substantially, such as when merging onto a highway. The vehicle exhibits misfiring; I see a "pulse" (or two), the EPC light activates (steady), and the Engine Light illuminates (flashing). The automobile begins to operate poorly. Upon pulling over, turning off the ignition, and restarting the vehicle, both the EPC and engine warning lights illuminate, however the engine light ceases to blink. When I turn off the ignition and open and close the driver's door before restarting, the EPC light turns off, but the engine light remains on (not flashing). VCDS diagnostics reveal two engine faults: a misfire in Cylinder 5 and Cylinder Deactivation. Upon erasing the trouble codes, the vehicle operates normally till I accelerate moderately once again. I have provided two VCD scan files. The first file (A) is immediately subsequent to my deliberate instigation of the problems. The second file (B) was recorded after I turned off the ignition and opened and closed my door prior to resuming. The scans indicate that Cylinder Disabling transitions from "Not Confirmed" to "Intermittent Confirmed." Does anybody have any recommendations? Your feedback would be highly valued.

Fidelity Gold - Magride repair completed! magnetic suspension system
Rudy7831 replied to alabbasi's topic in General Car Chat
Your vehicle seems to be in superb condition. I like the crimson hue. I have an inquiry for you, however. Where might one do a high-speed run in your vicinity? Few locations in the nation would instill confidence for achieving 200mph, however the Dakotas and Nebraska/Kansas are likely viable options. I want to exceed 200 mph in my automobile by next summer. -
It pertains to the primary fuse switch situated in the driver's side fuse box (placed underneath the dashboard switches on the right side of the driver). A switch exists that deactivates the ancillaries, functioning as a reset; you may turn it off, exit the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes, and then reactivate it. Should you use that approach, be advised that switching off the car disables the alarm, central locking, etc., so do not intend to leave the vehicle alone.

Please specify the version of the Sportage you possess: Mild Hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid. If the vehicle was functioning properly prior to the RAC technician replacing the battery, you should request the RAC to rectify the issue. The battery may be of the incorrect kind, or it may need disconnection and reconnection to facilitate a reset of the vehicle.

Should I use an OEM or aftermarket O2 sensor?
Rudy7831 replied to EtherealWanderer's topic in General Car Chat
Which aftermarket brands have you utilised? If the Amazon discounts continue to fail, choose for a reputable brand. I assert that Kia employs NTK. Mando represents an alternative choice. Rock Auto offers products for your model year. -
I believe there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. It was executing a function to operate the engine, which had apparently not been activated for some time. Tania seems to have only undertaken short trips with the EV mode. The PHEV will operate in EV mode until the standard use capacity is depleted (about 40 miles), after which it will utilise the battery reserve (roughly 3 miles) to function similarly to previous CHR HEVs, with the petrol engine activating and deactivating as needed. I saw that the engine activates for warming with around 6 kilometres remaining. It is reassuring to know that the vehicle will "clean" the engine if it has not been used for an extended period while operating only in electric vehicle mode. I am certain it is unrelated to the seat vent.
-
Out of curiosity, how many miles have you travelled since the last use of the engine prior to the alert appearing?
-
Refer to page 89 of the handbook. If "Engine Started to Clean System EV Driving Unavailable" appears on the multi-information display, EV driving may be suspended to safeguard the hybrid system, among other reasons. In this instance, operate the vehicle using the petrol engine until the electric vehicle mode reactivates automatically. Under some conditions, the operation of the petrol engine may persist briefly. However, this is not a malfunction. This is applicable just to the 2024 PHEV.

Could someone elucidate the concept of Daytime Running Lights?
Rudy7831 replied to Rudy7831's topic in General Car Chat
Are we talking about the same Trim here? shows the corner LED glowing which I assume is exclusive on the Inline 6 devices. My OP refers to the CX-70 PHEV Premium Plus, for which Mazda has already included faux lighting in the rear lid section of the tail lights and the front corner of the headlights. So is it that these DRL only functions as predicted for the Inline 6 models? -
Could someone elucidate the concept of Daytime Running Lights?

What a poor design. Every day I learn something I despise about this automobile. The arrangement is expected to be reversed. -
PHEV Premium Plus Could someone elucidate the operational mechanism of Daytime Running Lights (DRL)? Checking the DRL box on the Infotainment Console doesn't appear to accomplish anything. Are the headlights activated as daytime running lights rather than the slender LEDs in the grille? My headlights activate during daylight while the light switch is set to AUTO. I assumed the thin white LEDs in the grill were the DRLs and serve as amber indication.

Recently acquired P250 from the original Evoque
Rudy7831 replied to CyberMage's topic in General Car Chat
I hope you both will like your new vehicles; I am certain the latest Evoque will surpass your cherished previous model. I'm pleased your wife like the Volvo; I adore my XC60—it's an exceptional vehicle, and I am attempting to get Mrs. M to consider an XC40 as well. Best wishes and good fortune. -
If I Recall Correctly The passenger airbag indicator remains on while the seat is unoccupied. The indicator indicates that the airbag is nonfunctional when a rear-facing kid seat is installed.

Steering malfunction after bolt recall completion

Yesterday, I took the CX-80 for a test drive, and I noticed a significant difference compared to the earlier CX-60. The CX-80 exhibited significantly improved bounce behaviour, reduced shift shock, enhanced damping, and greater quietness. The dealer service provided me with documentation indicating that the upcoming CX-60 will feature similar enhancements, leading me to believe we can anticipate an upgraded version. The old mechanic is making questionable statements, yet only the most devoted followers seem to trust him.
-
The issue appears to be that the unusual noise and significant vibration that arose when restarting the engine by pressing the accelerator after it was halted with i-stop could not be resolved.
-
The quietness, riding comfort, shifting experience, and other general characteristics that were unfavourable in the original model will be enhanced to align with the CX-80. The undesirable oscillatory behaviour resulting from the rear's vertical movement, which is challenging to stabilise, will be mitigated. The engine restart from i-stop in MHEV cars will transition from using the assist drive motor to employing the starter motor. Orders will commence in Japan in November.

Thank you for the clarification. Have you achieved any progress, my friend?
-
In which nation do you reside, Mitev? Apologies, I do not recognise the flag.
-
I concur with your commendable recommendations. This issue is not related to the battery; it seems to be more severe and suggests that the gearbox need professional intervention. Is there a specialist in automatic gearboxes in your nation who might serve as an optimal beginning point, in addition to using Ross Tech scanning?
