  1. The coolant flange/pipe from the cylinder head is prone to failure, often splitting along the side nearest the oil filter. Unless the intake must be removed, I typically just loosen it and elevate it enough to reach the upper E8 bolt.
  2. I have rented a 2024 Artisan Red PHEV Premium for about one year, and although I am fortunate to have avoided the dependability concerns reported by others, I must concur with the thoughts expressed in this discussion. Mazda's exclusion of what many automotive manufacturers see as fundamental amenities in a vehicle priced at over $57,000 is somewhat disappointing. I was aware of these omissions before my purchase, and overall, we are satisfied with the vehicle; however, I am still astonished that basic features such as passenger seat height adjustment, memory for side view mirrors, and fully illuminated tail lights are not standard. Their selections look to be peculiar for Mazda, especially given they seem to be attempting to market the car as a near-luxury alternative to companies such as BMW. I am not an engineer, however I question if the incorporation of such components would significantly alter the price/profit dynamics.
  3. I believe I will need to do experiments with this when I get my EV3. I doubt the reliability of the digital key on the phone if a non-functional phone cannot start the vehicle. On some days, I approach depleting my phone's battery, so I use my trip home to recharge it.
  4. If you have unlocked your EV3 using the emergency key due to your phone's battery depletion and lack of the fob, can you position your non-functional phone on the induction pad underneath the wireless phone charger to start the vehicle, similar to the functionality with the key fob?
  5. It has BMW Longlife-04, hence it will perform adequately. Conduct a search on the forum; this inquiry has been posed several times.
  6. I regret to learn about your circumstances. I concur, they will very definitely make the call. Occasionally, one may negotiate a transaction and repurchase it, either via partial sales or as a project. Be sure to decline their first offer and likely the subsequent one as well. They seldom provide their optimal pricing initially. It is prudent to gather preliminary information by researching the cost of purchasing a comparable vehicle. They will never provide you with the retail price; thus, obtaining an equivalent replacement will always incur more costs over time. I empathise with you; I can imagine my feelings if it were my RCZ. 😩
  7. The W201 employs a comparable rubber drain grommet on the outside sill/floorpan, located directly anterior to the rear tire. The part number is 2019972381.
  8. If you can locate a model equipped with the off-road package, then pursue it; nonetheless, I would recommend against the conventional version without low range and differential lock.
  9. Why are you purchasing a vehicle model without doing any research?
  10. Simultaneously replace the damper, and it will be as taut as a drum.
  11. No issue. Adore the W202 models.
  12. The centrepiece is the source of the problem, but changing the whole assembly is a logical solution.
  13. Substituting the drag link assembly will resolve your steering problem.
  14. Is there a levelling switch next to the main headlight switch? If such is the case, it is halogen. Prior to pursuing the replacement of the bulb, it is essential to exclude the module as a potential issue, since it often fails due to moisture exposure.
  15. https://oricom.com.au/product/bsm888x-12v-24v-battery-sense-monitor/
  16. This is a third-party battery monitor that I have connected to the battery. There are several brands that are essentially equivalent in terms of effectiveness.
  17. Previously, the standing voltage ranged from 12.4 to 12.6. However, I have seen a recent improvement where it now ranges from 12.6 to 12.9. I will verify the maximum historical range of the voltage chart. I am aware that the charging process only occurs when the ignition is turned on or when it is specifically charging the high-voltage system. I successfully applied an external load to the 12-volt system, reducing its voltage to around 11.8 volts. At this point, a low voltage warning was triggered, prompting the activation of the petrol engine to recharge the battery. This response was unexpected, considering the absence of a normal alternator.
  18. Here is an improved illustration. Disconnected from power source for many hours, connected to power source at around 9am. The 12-volt battery had a rapid increase in voltage from 12.7 to 13.1 volts.
  19. My vehicle certainly charges the 12-volt battery while the high-voltage battery is being charged. Although the voltage is just 13.1 volts, it is charged at a higher range of 13.7 - 14.1 volts when driving.
  20. 100 percent It will not have an additional 70 brake horsepower (bhp).Jason at BWChiptune thoroughly evaluated all of these devices and found them to be comically inadequate. Additionally, it should be noted that although they may now include a few sensors such as MAF/MAP, it would be more prudent to save your money and go for a remap, or alternatively, consider MHD or Bootmod3.
  21. Fascinating. I will consider this information when the need arises to replace them. Perhaps I might consider using the Launch scanner, which claims to be capable of doing the task. Occasionally, I see the presence of white smoke, which indicates unburnt fuel. Despite this, my vehicle operates smoothly without any oil or water loss. The turbo is functioning well, and the running balance on INPA indicates that all cylinders are within the specified range. The Maf is also within the expected range. I assume that there may be a leaky injector, but I want to do a leak off test to confirm. Overall, this issue remains quite perplexing.
  22. I value your counsel, and I asked this issue because I came across a passage in the BMW service handbook, namely on page 34 of the engine management section. Adjusting the Injector During the manufacturing process of the injectors, a vast amount of measurement data is collected at precise locations inside the plant. The tolerance limits for injector-quantity adjustment are established and stated using a six-digit number combination. Injector voltage adjustment includes information on the lift performance of the injector. Injector adjustment is necessary due to the distinct voltage requirements of each piezo actuator. An allocation is assigned to a voltage demand category, which is included into the numerical combination on the injector. The ECM receives and processes these data elements. These measurements are used to correct for any discrepancies in the metering and switching efficiency during engine operation. Note: When changing an injector, it is absolutely necessary to perform an injector adjustment. Any more feedback would be much welcomed.
