Which suspension option is better: Bilstein B6 or B8?
paulh2602601 replied to Doncaster34's topic in General Car Chat
Directly from the source - What distinguishes Bilstein B6 from Bilstein B8? The B8 suspension system is specifically engineered for use with lowering springs or cars that come equipped with a factory-installed lowered suspension, such as Mercedes AMG models. -
If the factory + tune is unnecessary, are I allowed to use my existing ECU and immobiliser to install the engine? I am now engaged in the process of obtaining visas. Given that my vehicle is equipped with a dual turbo and a personalised tune, it would be preferable if I could avoid the need to reprogramme another ECU. I am also seeking a reputable establishment in close proximity to Reno, NV. I would much appreciate any ideas. Thank you.

Incorrect, the motor in question is likewise of the year 2012. However, it is advantageous whereas mine is not. Do you believe I possess proficiency in wiring? Thank you.

I own a 2012 V10 motorcycle equipped with a blown motor. A V10+ motor manufactured in 2014 has been found. I would want to inquire whether anybody is aware of the feasibility of this. Is it necessary to replace the ECU? Any potential complications that may arise when a new motor is introduced into a gated automobile, such as an automatic gearbox. We really value any feedback.

I would surely choose for a GT coupe at a price that is 15K more than that of a Plus. The only GT coupe available in the UK is priced £35K more than any Plus... If I were to encounter a V10 manual, I would undoubtedly be enticed by it. Similarly, if I were to come across a manual Plus, I believe my inclination towards technicality would prevent me from declining. In the United Kingdom, there are a total of 11 Plus manuals and 68 GTs, including 33 coupes and 35 spyders.

While it may not be applicable to your specific model, based on my personal experience, if a vehicle continues to have difficulty starting on chilly mornings even after replacing the glow plugs, the issue is often with the glow plug relay. It is worth noting that this problem does not typically trigger a failure code. My recommendation is to choose for an original replacement rather than a cheaper alternative. While there are many inexpensive options available, they are not likely to have the same longevity. I speak from personal experience.

This is my dream automobile.

I own a 2017 C250 d AMG Line Saloon, and I have observed that the rear tyres on my vehicle have a very limited lifespan, lasting barely 4,000 km. The Pirelli Cint P7 tyre model. Is this considered typical and are there other tyre options that may be more
paulh2602601 replied to colinallcars's topic in General Car Chat
Could you perhaps clarify whether by "only lasting" you are referring to a residual thread depth of 3mm or less throughout the tyre, including all sides and the centre? Do you consistently monitor the tyre pressures to verify that they fall within the range advised by the manufacturer, as shown by the label located within the fuel flap? If an affirmative response is given to both inquiries, it may be inferred that either excessive acceleration is being applied or the rear shocks/springs have experienced a malfunction, leading to the occurrence of tyre spin. In the event that the response is negative, it would be necessary to get further information on the specific issue with the tyre, ideally accompanied by visual documentation. -
The Perplexity Surrounding Android Auto in the 2020 W213 Model
paulh2602601 replied to ENVIOclev's topic in General Car Chat
This pertains to an automobile, rather than a mobile device. I had a similar problem with my IONIQ 5 vehicle (not Mercedes-Benz). However, the issue was successfully handled by the implementation of a software update for the infotainment system. This update included a new feature in the form of a selectable 'split screen' option within the menus of the instrument cluster. The presence of the aforementioned option in your vehicle remains uncertain, as does the potential for its inclusion via a software update, should it be absent. It is important to note that the configuration of this feature is performed inside the car itself, rather than on the phone. -
The windscreen installation was carried out by Autoglass, with the Fuyao brand being selected. The technician informed me that they have been increasingly using this brand as opposed to Pilkington, and that Fuyao windscreens are often installed in various German automobile models. Thus far, the clarity of the windscreen is remarkable, perhaps because to its recent installation. In addition to installing the windscreen, Autoglass also performed calibrations on the wipers and auto lights. It is anticipated that the performance of the windscreen will be comparable to that of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Mercedes screen.

After engaging in many conversations with both my insurance provider, Elephant, and Autoglass, it has been determined that they have declined to assume responsibility for the expenses associated with replacing the windscreen of my MB car. This decision is based on the age of the vehicle and the supplementary costs included. According to their policy, they have indicated that they install generic/non-OEM windscreens. I will need to thoroughly inspect all aspects of the car upon its retrieval. In the winter season, it is common to see the formation of ice on the windscreen of vehicles. Additionally, I have encountered instances of condensation on another car. I express my desire for such occurrences to be avoided with the Mercedes vehicle.

I initiated communication with the insurance provider Elephant, who then sent me to Autoglass. It has been determined that I would be required to remit a payment of £115 for the procurement of a non-branded windscreen. I expressed my preference for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified Mercedes windscreen, emphasising the requirement for it to be stamped. In response, I was informed that I would need to contact my insurance provider, as the cost for obtaining an OEM windscreen would include an excess fee of £115, in addition to a fitting charge of £330. The vehicle is equipped with rain-sensing wipers and auto lighting. Auto Glass, a company specialising in automotive glass services, has verified that they are capable of calibrating these features at the vehicle's location, eliminating the need for the owner to visit a Mercedes dealership. I am optimistic about the possibility of persuading my insurance provider to include coverage for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) windscreen. However, I am rather sceptical about the likelihood of success given the advanced age of the car. Should I choose for the standard windscreen or personally bear the further expenses for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) windscreen?

The Williams ceramic coating that was originally applied to the automobile has maintained its appearance over the course of two years.

The Toyota vehicle in my possession is equipped with a throttle body that has a coolant line, presumably designed to maintain a stable temperature inside the throttle body. Is there a possibility that this tube performs a similar function? I regret that I am unable to provide you with more substantiated opinions than the ones already expressed.

Based on my observation, the object in question seems to resemble a vacuum or emissions line. However, it is important to note that this assessment is purely speculative and without empirical evidence. If one were to find themselves in a similar situation, it would be advisable to continue with caution and meticulousness throughout the reassembly process, while maintaining the hope that the correct placement would eventually become evident. It is conceivable that there may be unsecured lines and hoses now in place. Is it possible that any of these lines and hoses correspond in diameter to the tube in question, and may they potentially provide any valuable insights or indications? I want to own a monetary unit for each component that I have detached on the presumption that I will retain the knowledge of its proper placement. A portion of them remain in an undisturbed state on the shelf...

Undoubtedly, the most concerning aspect is to the glaringly apparent nature of the errors.

It is well acknowledged that failing to attend to a single matter is undesirable, but the consequences of neglecting both of them are far more severe.

I am experiencing a sense of dissatisfaction as I see that my time has been squandered, and I anticipate that further efforts to get any kind of benefit from them would also prove to be unproductive.

I have arrived at the current location and conducted a brief inspection of the vehicle's engine compartment. It has been seen that an electric plug is not properly connected to the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, and a sensor is not securely fastened in place.
