  1. Apologies for initiating another discussion. I have extensively searched through the forum in an attempt to locate relevant information that may assist me. However, as a last recourse, I am submitting this plea for assistance. The user's text is not provided. I have just completed an engine replacement on a 1996 BMW 316i, whereby I have successfully installed a 2.8-liter M52 engine sourced from a 1995 model. The DME (Digital Motor Electronics) unit has been sourced from the 328i model. The EWS (Electronic Immobilizer System), keys, and the other wiring harness have undergone minimal modifications, with the majority of the components remaining unaltered from the 316i model. I purchased a data head from an online marketplace, namely eBay, in order to assist me in my endeavors. With this device, I am capable of extracting information from both the Digital Motor Electronics (DME) and the Electronic Drive-Away Protection (EWS) systems. Additionally, I possess the capability to reset error codes and activate the fuel pump, among other functionalities. I am of the opinion that I am "plugged in." The EWS-DME alignment component of the package was used; however, the system fails to begin and instead displays an error message indicating an invalid password for the EWS in the DME error memory. Additionally, I attempted to manually establish the ISN number by extracting it from the DME coding page and transferring it to the EWS. However, my efforts were unsuccessful. Printouts of information: The information on the Early Warning System (EWS) will be discussed in this academic context. The user's request pertains to information on Durable Medical Equipment (DME). The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) coding screen is a tool used in the healthcare industry to assign appropriate codes to DME items and services for billing and reimbursement purposes. Lastly, the EWS error is seen. I have encountered a significant obstacle in my progress, since I am uncertain if I have made an error or whether there is an incompatibility issue between the EWS and DME systems. Alternatively, it is plausible that the DME itself is defective. Based on my observations, it can be concluded that the Electronic Wiring System (EWS) and the other components of the car's electrical system are in proper working condition, since I have personally seen the vehicle in operation. The examination of the DME and engine loom presents a distinct issue, since there has been no observation of the engine in operation. Assistance would be much appreciated.
  2. If one is seeking to replace the lock actuator, it is advisable to use the services of a professional locksmith within one's vicinity. The actuator will be replaced at a low cost.
  3. Greetings, individuals. I have recently examined an error code pertaining to an alternator. Error: Layer Generator Code: 4A07 After doing the necessary maintenance, I saw that the alternator is equipped with two wires, one designated for power transmission and the other specifically intended for Battery Management System (BMS) functionality. Is it expected for this connection to have two wires connected to the alternator, as I have noticed that mine only has one cable. However, the terminals on the connector are labeled as positive and negative.
  4. I am able to attest to the credibility and reliability of Graham. I purchased a bracket from Dashmount for a total of £20. Upon receiving the item, I proceeded to examine its contents. Initially, I found myself questioning the value of a mere £20 for a piece of metal. However, upon further inspection, I discovered that the process included removing the front panel around the headunit, allowing for a snug and secure fit between the vehicle and the aforementioned panel. The method is quite effective and does not need any perforations.
  5. Indeed, Jaysubi53, you have successfully identified the source. Congratulations! What is the functional scope of the 20 amp fuse labeled as number 26 in relation to the control mechanisms of the C63 vehicle?
  6. It is advisable to get the alternator inspected. If I recall correctly, establishments such to Halfords or Kwik Fit may frequently provide this service free of charge with the intention of identifying a defective component and afterwards selling you a replacement.
  7. When I had my old x5, I inflated the tires to 34 psi. Tires last just as long after doing this for five years. Like yours, mine are 19s and staggered.
  8. Possibly this is not the usual, since I remember my old 5 series doing similarly with the color shifting with the ambient lighting. Sometimes they're blue, like yours, and other times they're black.
  9. We replaced the injector, but the vehicle still has a harsh, banging idle. We drained the engine oil and discovered metal fragments in the oil filter. It seems to be junk today because to the high probability of a rod knock.
  10. We conducted a test with the injector for cylinder 2 disconnected, and it performed identically to how it did in the video. Since that knock sounds much worse than normal, it's hard to tell whether it's simply an injector.
  11. Hi everybody, Last night I was going home when my vehicle abruptly lost all power and I had to have it towed. After a restful night at home, I checked on my vehicle early the next morning and discovered that it starts but has a harsh initial idle before settling down. Seems to vibrate when accelerated (video link added below). I performed a basic running test with ISTA and noticed that cylinder 2's fuel readings were significantly different from the others (picture). I'm not sure what the problem is, but I removed the injector and it still ran the same, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's just that. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't rod knock.
  12. It is unclear whether Alabbasi has a facelift model. I would send him a private message, call Mazda customer service, or email them; if you contact them, be sure to include your registration number and possibly your VIN.
  13. I doubt the mk1 usb issue was rectified. Until the 2015 mk2 vehicle. I used the mp3 CD.
  14. I do not believe that the mk1 usb issue was ever resolved. Not until the updated 2015 Mk2 automobile Instead, I used the CD containing MP3 files.
  15. Their server speeds are consistently terrible. My download speed is just 2.9 mbps, therefore why does my laptop report that, after downloading a 7500 MB file between 8:50 am and 10:20 am, only 20% has been downloaded?
  16. After installing the MAZDA TOOLBOX software, if you have the SD card type (mine is MZD TYPE), you download the Mazda software and insert your card into your PC. I only have a 3mb connection, so downloading took several hours. It will then guide you through the process of updating. On my 2019 version, it's supposed to be updated twice a year; the last update was in February, so it's long overdue:( The cards with the most recent maps can be purchased from the dealer or eBay; determine which is more affordable!
  17. It's possible that this may be my next cr in around four years, haha.
