I removed the battery a few weeks ago to recharge it. Reinstalled with the apparatus positioned on top. Devoid of electrical power. No apparent authority to any entity. I wondered if I'd damaged the 'contraption' so re-checked today. In my particular vehicle, the piece seems to serve no use. I questioned if I had blown a main fuse; however, it seems that all fuses are located below the glovebox, and I am uncertain whether a 'main fuse' exists. The battery is functioning well. Do you have any recommendations?

This raises a question I have. Is the thicker gasket only provided if the head has been resurfaced? Are there situations in which a thicker gasket is necessary when the head has not been resurfaced?

Upon removing the head, I saw the clog situated in the timing chain chamber and speculated that I may have dislodged something during the removal process, but I was uncertain of its nature due to my limited expertise. Instead of a blown gasket, the issue was caused by the plug! The individual from whom I acquired it has considerable mechanical expertise. While travelling on the interstate, the vehicle displayed a 'low coolant' warning, subsequently resulting in a loss of power. Promptly manoeuvred it to the roadside and saw no signs of overheating on the head. He removed the cover and assumed it was the head, as most would likely do. He refrained from driving it again, unwilling to risk anything more. I am reflecting on my actions and reconsidering my next steps. My subsequent inquiry is how you managed to insert that individual there? Did you ultimately build your own jig to reinsert it?

Hello, I had a comprehensive gearbox flush on my prior BMW X3 at 130,000 miles, since it had not been performed before. The gearbox fluid extracted during the service performed by an independent technician was black, although it should have been pink. The garage said it was the most severe condition they had encountered... A home flush is insufficient; it does not completely replace all of the fluid.I shall do a complete flush on my wife's RR when possible.

Most tuners include additional options for their maps, although switching is not mandatory. 🙂 My S5 did not produce pops and fringe, however it performed quite well!

If you are able to reach the battery, attempt to unplug it for a little period of time and thereafter reattach it. Occasionally, this action may restore the vehicle's systems to their original state.

My setup is equipped with piggyback fuse holders (one for permanent live and one for switched live) that are directly connected to a power supply. The power supply is positioned deep in the passenger footwell, far away from any radio or antenna components. The notion that the issue is due to dashcam is baseless - the DAB problem existed before to the installation of the camera.

Are there any other individuals experiencing difficulties with the awful DAB radio on their CX60? My vehicle, registered in September 2023 and not one of the initial models without an aerial, has poor reception. It often loses signal for extended periods, has intermittent distortion, has low audio output, and sometimes abruptly switches to excessively loud and distorted sound. The DAB performance of other automobiles in the family is almost excellent, indicating that the issue is not related to the geographical location where I reside. I have verified that the firmware is up to date. The dealer has been very inept. They have been requested to investigate twice, but the most they can suggest is that the issue may be caused by my dashboard camera. However, they neglected to reconnect it until I saw it three weeks later, despite my first request for them to address the issue with the DAB. During my recent visit, they had the audacity to claim that the mere existence of dashcam cables may be causing disturbances, even when they are not connected to a power source. While the company is eager to profit from safety recall work, they seem to see my DAB issue as a mere inconvenience.
