stevenkeyte
If the Idle Stop Go (ISG) light is always on, it indicates that either the ISG system has been deactivated or there is a malfunction preventing it from functioning. Attempt to deactivate the device and observe the resulting outcome.

trikey
Yes. Without a doubt, it is the Information Security Group (ISG). We have installed it on our Picanto, however we have received conflicting information on its effectiveness.
Black_raven
If the manufacturer installed it, then it will not cause any accelerated wear on the components, especially considering the 7-year guarantee. The primary focus is on reducing emissions.
markjay
Personally, I have a strong aversion to Idle Stop-Start (ISG) technology. In fact, in the last five automobiles that I have had, I have consistently disabled it at the beginning of every trip.
Gianni682
The intended term is "Intelligent" stop and go, however its accuracy is open to debate. Two vehicles, a car and a small car, are depicted.
stevenkeyte
The terminology used to refer to this feature varies depending on the source. Specification documents often refer to it as Intelligent Stop Go, whereas handbooks typically refer to it as Idle Stop Go. Since I see it as lacking intelligence, it must be lazy... WhisperingWillow
It is most logical to use this concept in metropolitan regions where there are several traffic signals and traffic congestion, resulting in a significant amount of immobile vehicles. While the concept may seem promising, it has little or no impact on fuel usage. According to the information shown on my wife's Mazda, we have conserved a total of 26 miles worth of diesel fuel over a span of 8 years and 80,000 miles by using the stop/start feature. Nevertheless, while strolling down a bustling urban street filled with the noxious emissions from petrol and diesel vehicles, one quickly yearns for everyone to use their stop-start systems as originally intended. Gianni682
It is my belief that several contemporary automobiles are equipped with TMT (Traffic Management Technology) and NECS (Navigation and Entertainment Control Systems). (Excessive reliance on technology and insufficient application of practical reasoning) !
johnmayerrr
I believe the same may be stated of several drivers as well! 😉
