stevenkeyte
The automobile alarm was activated many times without any apparent cause. There are two sorts of alarms: a standard alarm that activates when someone attempts to open a door without keys, and a "anti-theft" alarm that detects interior movement while the vehicle is locked. I am uncertain about which one is being activated. There is a feature in the car settings that allows you to deactivate the anti-theft alarm. However, it automatically activates again when the engine is started again. Prior to contacting Kia, do you have any recommendations or has anybody encountered this situation previously? DreamCatcher88
First, I suggest attempting to deactivate the anti-theft system. Since it is a simple test. Another possibility is that the automobile has been idle for a period of time, and maybe the battery is seeing a little decrease in charge. Ken_Lion
On Friday evening, I noticed that the front window on the passenger side was slightly lowered by around 5mm, making it difficult to see at first glance. Earlier today, due to the heavy rain, I had to lower the window to check for traffic before starting to move. Unfortunately, I didn't shut it correctly... It is advisable to verify. stevenkeyte
I have previously attempted to deactivate the sophisticated anti-theft alarm. However, it automatically activates when the vehicle is started again. There doesn't seem to be any correlation with a battery issue, since the problem occurred immediately after a 100-mile journey, while the vehicle was stationary in a level driveway. Kia Connect notifies the user on their phone when the alarm is activated. However, the notification only appears after the alarm has already gone off and stopped. I believed it would be wise to open the message immediately upon the activation of the alert.
allmightyASTON
Several members have had alarm troubles, not just with the Sportage but also with the Sorento. Although the method of resolution is unclear, a potential interim solution might include concealing the internal sensor, which is likely located as a little protrusion on the top of the dashboard. DenishP4
Hello, If you disable the anti-theft alarm, the vehicle will automatically enable it again every time you restart the car. Therefore, you will need to deactivate the system every time you exit the vehicle. I hope you are able to resolve the issue.
Black_raven
I encountered a comparable problem with a different car (not a KIA), wherein a minuscule moth had made itself at home in the cabin and enjoyed flying around during the night, triggering the internal sensors on most evenings. It took more than a week to locate the insect, and I had to resort to using insecticide in the cabin and then securing the car to resolve the issue (although I acknowledge that this method was not animal-friendly, as I was unable to capture the creature). Worth trying if you understand what I mean 🙂
stevenkeyte
I contacted Kia and they expressed their want to reserve the vehicle. However, it will need a portion of my time, therefore I have not yet made a reservation. Nevertheless, for the last week, I did not have any problems with my alarm. I will patiently observe and analyse to see if I can identify any recurring pattern associated with this issue.

KOOLCAR
Fortunately, you do not reside in close proximity to me, as I would likely rectify the situation for you in a permanent manner. 🤣🤣
johnmayerrr
I am experiencing an issue with my 2022 Sorento where the problem persists and the vehicle randomly turns off throughout the night and sometimes during the day without any apparent cause. Unfortunately, a solution for this problem has not been found yet. I have been engaged in a prolonged dispute with the dealer for about two years on this matter.
