KOOLCAR
WhisperingWillow I have separated this into a separate subject and pinned it because I believe we will hear more about it in the future. Thank you for sharing that.
NAVITEL
Thank you for sharing. I now understand the reason why my iPod and iPhone are not charging. You cannot revert to previous versions of the Apple software/firmware. The issue also occurs with the iPod dock installed in my MY08 TDV8, indicating that it is not exclusive to MY10 integration. WhisperingWillow
One owner of a new 2010 FFRR in the US tested the mentioned charging adaptor and found that it did not function. Despite the iPhone 3G interfacing well with the touchscreen, it still did not charge. Perplexed
WhisperingWillow
Update: The Scosche PassPORT Car Charging Adapter is available with two different production dates, which are indicated on the packaging. Both models have the same model number and very similar appearance, making it difficult to distinguish between the two. Ensure that the adapter you are buying is from 2009. A forum user on rr.net reported that an adapter from 2008 would not charge his iPhone.
ENVIOclev
My 4th generation iPod Nano is not charging, despite the handbook stating that it should. Shouldn't LR be responsible for resolving this issue at their cost? My automobile is a MY10 RRS TDV6. Additionally, when I turn off my vehicle, it does not turn off my iPod, causing it to entirely lose power by the time I leave the workplace. It is unusual that my Jaguar XK, which is just 7 months old, does not charge it! Using the USB connection and the included Apple PC lead charges the iPod but does not allow it to play. Quite a troublesome situation. nickoyster4
Apple's modification of the charging specifications for iPods has led manufacturers and OEM suppliers to make adjustments within their usual extended lead times. A comparable conversation has taken place on DISCO3 lately.
NAVITEL
The iPod/iPhone charges and plays via the USB in the top glove box but does not charge through the iPod dock. I must use the USB cord provided with the iPhone.
DreamCatcher88
There are several issues with the iPod charger. When you get a new iPod for Christmas, be sure to closely monitor it while it is charging and updating for the first time. It is recommended to charge the device for many hours to guarantee proper calibration. However, when setting up a video iPod to present to someone, I discovered that it had stopped charging after transferring all the tunes, indicating potential issues with new goods. blueWING007
My iPhone 3GS with either iOS 3 or iOS 4 works well in a 2010 automobile that I received last week.
rab60bit88
This is an outdated technical bulletin. The iPod touch 3rd Generation works well and charges when connected to my 2010 Range Rover Sport.
norbury.brook
If this problem has been resolved, can someone specify the components I need to replace on my early 2010 RRSSC to enable my iPhone/iPod to charge while in use? I purchased the Scosche PassPORT adapter, which initially functioned fine. However, due to its design causing the iPhone to extend beyond the centre console's storage space, the connection on the Scosche grew loose and unstable over time. HOV
Purchased a 59 RRS and ordered an iPod connector. However, it is displaying a device error when attempting to connect to the iPod. Anyone who has had this issue would much appreciate any advise. Thank you.
