  1. I have not yet determined whether to get the PHEV or the Turbo S trim. I am uncertain if the dealers in my vicinity are transferring the lease-to-buyout tax credit. I am in San Diego and will be visiting Hello Mazda and Escondido dealerships. I assume both are offering 0% for 36 months. I will do a test drive within the following week. I am cognisant of several complaints of gear grinding in 1-2 gear on PHEV vehicles. What further factors should I consider? The PHEV dashboard and interior reportedly creak and rattle.
  2. Breaking News - Once Again Malfunctioned! It is time to replenish your popcorn container! Fewer than 24 hours, same issue. CarPlay does not transmit any audio, lacks control over FM/AM radio, and produces no sound even if the radio is accessible. The speaker symbol is crossed out. My ex contacted Mazda service and instructed to bring the vehicle in next week. Nevertheless, she was indeed near and completed the task after concluding the conversation. They suggested the usual possibilities, such that it may be the cord or the phone itself. She immediately instructed them to switch to the radio, resulting in no difference. Upon their consensus over its malfunction, she arranged for the automobile to be delivered on Tuesday. She firmly addressed them without being impolite (doing foolishly yields no benefits in our perspective), however this does not imply that one must be submissive either. She informed them unequivocally that she would be reporting this to Mazda USA and filing an official complaint. If given the option, she would return the CX-90. She has almost operated a loaner vehicle (CX-5 or smaller) compared to her CX-90! Several noteworthy observations: @ASH8 sent a Technical Service Bulletin about the amplifier's connections for a CX-50 for me to recommend to the service department. They declined to consider it since the TSB is not applicable to the CX-90. Unrelated to the radio, there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that has been issued since August regarding headlights and wet conditions. She presented it to them and requested its completion; nevertheless, they expressed uncertainty over their knowledge of it and its execution. Although the personnel in service are undoubtedly kind individuals, I really dislike the "I don't know" or "No, we won't" attitude. She displayed the TSB PDF from her phone; how could they respond with anything other than, "Okay, we will address that"?
  3. My ex retrieved her vehicle "early," specifically before the 9th, contrary to their previous communication last week; they had possessed her CX-90 for an extended period. No paperwork was provided; she was informed that she would get an email about the job. Nevertheless, this Service Department has informed me of such, although I have received nothing. Do not anticipate component numbers. She was informed that the CX-90's "Tuner" and "Amplifier" had been changed. I instructed her to enquire if the car's software had been upgraded to v10014, but they just responded with, "No updates were required." I have discovered that this does not equate to the absence of updates. During the testing, they fitted the replacement component, and sound was restored. They then reinstalled the original component, resulting in the cessation of sound. They reported that they conducted this exchange several times, consistently obtaining the same outcomes of functionality or non-functionality. They did not inform her if they replaced one or both of the new components during the testing. It is quite difficult to comprehend that both the tuner and amplifier have failed. If it is accurate, then is unfortunate! She is really pleased to get her CX-90 returned, remarking that the CX-30 handled like a box, amusingly. If she receives an email detailing the actions taken and items replaced, I will return and share it.
  4. My ex received a message from the Austin South Service department late last week. There is little information, save that the component will not arrive until the 7th, and she may have the vehicle back on the 9th. I will attach the text messages.
  5. The CX-90 belonging to my ex remains at the repair shop, with little updates from the Service Department, mostly consisting of follow-up enquiries on her use of the entertainment system. They said that "Mazda USA support" had not encountered this issue. The local service department is unable to proceed until Mazda provides instructions for the repair. In a short time, it will be five weeks for the radio. My ex is determined to terminate her lease.
  6. My ex-wife's CX-90 PHEV has malfunctioned again with her iPhone, resulting in no audio from the radio. Upon connecting her iPhone, CarPlay activates; however, there is no audio output for calls or music. Upon her approach to the radio, it emitted no sound. Her 90 has had service twice for radio malfunctions, with the most recent visit resulting in the replacement of the USB module in the armrest. Following that visit, I updated the Tuner obtained from @ASH8 (version 26020). She brought the CX-90 in three weeks ago, and the most recent update from Mazda (Japan) said that they need diagnostics data. Consequently, the service department gathered many USB discs with the diagnostics data and had to ship them. To an unknown destination! I find it difficult to think that there was sufficient information to occupy numerous drives necessitating their mailing. I upgraded my CX-90 to version 26020 a few days before to hers, and fortunately, I have had no difficulties (knock on wood). The one difference in my operation of the CX-90's radio is that I exclusively connect to my CX-90 via Wi-Fi for CarPlay, never use the radio. In contrast, my ex often utilises the USB connection for her iPhone, but she also extensively employs her radio due to her preference for a talk radio station in Austin. I doubt she has a playlist on her iPhone to play music.„„„ „
  7. The dealer service consistently provides accurate information... ? 🙂
  8. The most recent modification is intriguing. Are you aware of the reason?
  9. I presume yours is a Takumi equipped with a G series engine. To my knowledge, the X series in the 2025 models continues to have 2.0-liter engines.
  10. Thank you. I will examine Naviextras and will also consult with the dealers for an upcoming servicing.
  11. Certainly, five years; it is documented on my bill of sale.
  12. I am registered with Mazda Toolbox, although I do not get any update alerts. However, when opening the toolbox, an update was pending installation. Do you have any suggestions for activating the notifications?
  13. The appearance is the only purpose for which I want them, to complete the wheel well area. If it does not safeguard the vehicle against erosion, it is essentially unnecessary. Winters in Pennsylvania may be characterised by snow, slush, rain, and salt. Mud flaps may provide more functionality, although I will never endeavour to install them.
  14. I completely concur. Do they operate enough to justify the effort? I understood that the process with the Mazda was not straightforward, which is why I considered having the dealership handle it. I do not believe I will undertake it. I enquired about the fee via the service's website, but received no response. I left a message after being instructed to consult a service adviser, but she did not respond either.
  15. What is a reasonable cost for the installation of splash guards by the dealership after purchasing them from their parts department? Thank you.

  17. Both of them seem to be in accordance with the specifications mentioned in the handbook. However, one of them is EFB while the other one is not. Based on my understanding, EFB is designed for vehicles in which the primary battery is replenished by braking, however in our cars, the smaller 24V mild hybrid battery is recharged. Is that correct? However, I fail to see any potential negative consequences of implementing an EFB.
  18. Varta recommends the following options for the CX-30 SkyActiv-X: https://www.varta-automotive.it/it-it/prodotti/varta-blue-dynamic-efb/565-501-065 https://www.varta-automotive.it/it-it/prodotti/varta-blue-dynamic/560-410-054
  19. A Class III hitch is the same as a Class III hitch. I intend to install both the Factory Harness and the Curt Hitch.
  20. Was the update completed? I performed the task on my spouse's plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), resulting in a significant improvement in the smoothness of the drivetrain.
  21. It seems that the dealership is exhibiting a lack of effort or motivation. This TSB provides information on the issue of surging and how it may be resolved with a software update.
