  1. Have you just purchased another plate, drilled holes in it, and painted it?
  2. Did you ultimately choose to use a tow hook plate mount? I purchased one and contemplated whether to use a cover or keep it uncovered. I am curious to know what you ultimately decided.
  3. I feel the same way! Currently, I use Android Auto for navigation assistance.
  4. I would use the CTEK charger on the Mazda vehicle. I too own a Corvette equipped with a CTEK system. The CTEK charger on my C8 vehicle connects to the power outlet, also known as the cigarette lighter jack. I am unsure whether this charger would be compatible with the Mazda. It may be necessary to get an adaptor. It is not advisable to disconnect the ground, since doing so would result in the loss of all your settings. I would just connect the CTEK charger to the battery. For what it's worth, I have just returned home after a three-week journey. After being idle for a period of 3 weeks, my Mazda displayed a warning indicating the need to drive in order to recharge the battery upon my arrival home. I operated the vehicle for a few hours, doing various tasks and also spending some time on the highway. It has been a week since I returned home and I have not had the mistake again. I suspect that your previous battery was faulty, despite the dealer's inability to identify the issue.
  5. It is important to note that using the off-road mode on regular roads for everyday driving is not recommended, since it puts excessive strain on the automobile and might accelerate its deterioration compared to other driving modes. While I am not an authority on the subject, I would suggest refraining from using it in any context other than off-road situations.
  6. This video may be beneficial (enable subtitles 😉 😞
  7. I will continue to use my "basic" 12-year-old Sportage. I have rented two contemporary vehicles equipped with these assistance features and I really dislike them. At the age of 73, I may only be able to sustain my physical and mental faculties until my "sensors" cease to function.
  8. I wholeheartedly agree! I first encountered them in May 2023 when contemplating the purchase of an automobile. I have seen almost all the content on their channel using the auto-translate feature to English, while I patiently await the arrival of the automobile I bought back in June.
  9. Therefore, choosing a setting of 90% would be advantageous, given my usual driving habits. Nevertheless, what is the threshold for the "detrimental" duration of "battery charge retention". As for me, I connect the car to a power source in the morning, upon my arrival at work. Typically, I get a notice on my phone about midday indicating that the battery of my vehicle is charged to 80%. The battery remains at this level until I finish work, which is around 6-7 hours after receiving the information. Therefore, the battery remains charged at 80% for about 6-7 hours every day throughout the work week. Is it a detrimental period? Is it advisable to delay the start of the charging process to a later time throughout the day, so that the charge is completed closer to the time I leave work?
  10. I appreciate your provision of the calculator. Based on the information provided, the estimated battery lifetime would be over 13 years when charged to 80%, compared to over 9 years when charged to 90%. I am curious about the potential consequences of charging my device to varied levels, such as 80% or 90%, as opposed to consistently charging it to a single level, such as 80% alone. Is there any potential harm in doing so?
  11. Greetings, everybody. I just acquired a brand new CX-60 PHEV, which I obtained in mid-November. I have driven it for around 1,000 kilometres so far, and I am really satisfied with the vehicle. I have an inquiry about the optimal daily battery charge level. I have perused several perspectives on the subject, consulted the dealer, and now want to acquire knowledge from the participants of this forum. I comprehend that it is often advised to charge the battery up to 80% if you engage in everyday charging. In my situation, I have the opportunity to recharge my vehicle on a daily basis at my workplace. However, relying on an 80% charge is not always sufficient to complete a round trip between my house and workplace, as well as the subsequent journey the following day. The charging increments may be adjusted to 80%, 90%, and other values, but there is no option specifically for 85%. I would want to inquire about any potential technical or other problems that may arise if I were to adjust the charge limit to 90% instead of the default 80%. This adjustment is likely to be sufficient for my daily commute. Expressing gratitude!
  12. An update for the Body Control Module (BCM) was released in April, but there has been no update for the gearbox since the last one in late Summer or early Fall last year, which was part of a recall update.
  13. According to the nickoyster4 update, I conducted a check on May 1st and found no new information.
  14. A few months back, I successfully placed an order for and subsequently got the OEM all weather mats.
  15. The 12 speakers are designed for optimal performance. The instrument panel has a single 80 mm Twiddler speaker positioned at its centre. Each door mirror patch is equipped with a 25 mm neodymium tweeter. Additionally, there are two 115 mm high-excursion neodymium woofers, each housed in a custom-engineered cowl-side bass enclosure with a volume of four litres. These enclosures are integrated into the body frame. The car is equipped with four 80 mm neodymium mid/high range speakers, with one speaker installed in each door. Additionally, there are two rear 65 mm surround speakers, with one speaker positioned in each C pillar. Furthermore, there is a single 130 mm neodymium woofer housed in a custom-engineered bass enclosure with a volume of 10 litres, located in the spare wheel housing. Which one do you personally feel a sense of longing for?
  16. When an automobile is just 1 or 2 years old, it seems peculiar to replace it, which causes me to be sceptical whenever I encounter them being sold. Having an elusive and undetectable malfunction would provide a compelling justification for relocating the vehicle. (as you are now doing, transferring the responsibility to the subsequent fortunate recipient). As usual, one must use caution while making a purchase.
  17. I have never seen any kind of wrench appearing on the heads-up display (HUD). Is it visible when the vehicle is stationary and can you get a photograph of it?
  18. The light that is now illuminated is the maintenance due soon indicator, which is activated by the maintenance schedule timer in the infotainment system. To clear it, reset the maintenance due timer in the Vehicle Settings.
  19. Nevertheless, I am unable to choose my preference... The CX-30 offers more practicality and I am particularly fond of the blue colour. However, the Mazda 3 is an aesthetically pleasing vehicle. I want for the United Kingdom to have access to the same range of engine options as are available in the United States. I need an automobile equipped with a 2.5 turbo engine.
  20. The Mazda 3 has an aesthetically pleasing appearance and offers a satisfying driving experience. However, the CX-30 surpasses it in terms of accessibility, making it simpler to enter and exit the vehicle. It has almost comparable handling capabilities to the 3 and maintains an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  21. Thank you. In my opinion, the automobile is very compatible and it is more resistant to chipping compared to my previous Soul Red Mazda 3.
  22. Greetings, everyone. Due to the difficulty of getting in and out of my old 4th generation Mazda 3 hatchback, I decided to get a 2023 Deep Blue Crystal e-SkyActiv X CX-30 GT Sport, which is more convenient for me. The colour of my Mazda 3 was Soul Red, however I believe that the Deep Blue colour is more suitable for the CX-30. Observed below while still at the dealership.
  23. I adhered to the directions in an attempt to get the key from BSM, in case it was located there. I refrained from driving until this morning, when it was indeed found in BSM. Extracting the key proved to be a significant challenge, but after persevering, I was ultimately successful. Despite my repeated attempts to push the lock button four times, the corresponding indicator light failed to illuminate. Undeterred, I proceeded to hold down the button, but no response was elicited, save for the perplexed onlookers who were left wondering why my vehicle was emitting several beeps and flashes.
