  1. I have also acquired a set of three items from the online marketplace Amazon. Each item is designated for the purpose of securing a certain fob, and it is advised to exercise caution by not leaving these items in an unattended state.
  2. I agree with your perspective on this matter. Although I have not personally owned a road vehicle with a satin or matte finish, I have had experience with satin finishes on motorbikes and racing cars. Both items were quite difficult to maintain cleanliness. The contact locations on the satin black bike exhibited a rapid development of shine. In my humble opinion, these products are mostly suitable for exhibition vehicles.
  3. The use of a stand-alone navigation system, rather than relying on a mobile device and applications such as Google Maps, is a valuable and appreciated asset in my opinion. It is posited that younger drivers exhibit a greater inclination towards using their mobile devices for various tasks, whilst elderly drivers have a comparatively less reliance on such technological devices. The inclusion of instructions on the Head-Up Display (HUD) is a convenient feature that is not currently provided by Google Maps when used in conjunction with Android Auto. Similarly, my personal preference is towards using a specialized radio and Sirius head unit, and I would even appreciate the inclusion of a CD player. This inclination arises from my inclination to avoid relying on music streaming or other forms of digital media for entertainment purposes. Residing in a rural region of Texas, I have seen that the reliability of Verizon's cellular network is not certain. Consequently, I am inclined to consider other options as my primary means of telecommunication. However, those inhabiting metropolitan locales who do not often go into distant areas may find this subject inconsequential. It is possible that someone may argue that downloading maps on a mobile device is a viable alternative for navigation. However, I personally prefer using the GPS system installed in my vehicle, since it offers real-time assistance when traveling. Best wishes in your endeavors, regardless of the choice you choose.
  4. I had a similar issue with my 2004 sports wagon around 16,000 miles into its use in 2005. It took the dealer a duration of one week to diagnose the issue as being related to the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. The replacement occurred once, few months ago, when the vehicle had around 42,000 miles. There is a prevailing belief that exceeding the recommended oil level by a quantity more than one-fourth of a quart may also result in the occurrence of the aforementioned phenomenon. I am pleased to provide relevant information in my first post.
  5. The engine, the top fenders, the window frame, and the steering wheel, just. But only if it's cheap and within driving distance.
  6. Hi All, Please tell me the proper sequence for firing these spark plugs.
  7. The latest on my spill. The hood release cord is becoming soaked. Water is getting in because the rubber grommet that protects the cable opening in the bulkhead or firewall has split and broken. After sealing it with waterproof tape, it hasn't rained on me yet. I had a new grommet on order from a garage close by.
  8. Hello, I also have a 2005 W203 with a water problem in the footwell. It seems to be entering through the hood release mechanism. As I glanced under the hood O/S, I saw water dripping onto the release cable that was located just above the main fuse box. The plastic water gully may be the entry point. The gully seems to be constructed from two pieces of plastic with a foam or sponge seal between them. The interior, which is where it should be dry, is instead completely drenched, suggesting that this has decayed. Does anyone else know about this? How simple is it to swap out the components? I'll see if I can upload a photo.
  9. Abrasive cleaners won't be necessary if the wheels are brand new. Using a wheel wash mitt and auto shampoo on a regular basis should keep the wheels clean.
  10. Do you know how to clean the air vents? If the car's previous owner was a smoker, the vents will almost certainly contain nicotine residue.
  11. Find a used seat on eBay if you want to save money while keeping the rest of your Artico interior intact. Most people don't know that the coverings for the driver's and passenger's seats are identical, which means that a passenger's seat has a greater chance of yielding a high-quality replacement. This eliminates the need to remove the rear cover when swapping out simply the base. Possible to use locally sourced breakers for the foundation.
  12. Last year, I had the Artico seat coverings on my P Plus W205 replaced with leather, but the trimmer forgot to unhook the battery. After reattaching the seats, he plugged a "STAR" type dongle into the socket located behind the steering column to reset any malfunctioning sensors. He had retrimmed a few W205s and had a fairly fast technique to strip them, so he was able to remove and reinstall the covers on each seat in about 50 minutes. He started by knocking off the two "C" clips holding the seat to the frame with a tiny hammer, then he removed the plastic trim from beneath the front of the seat. YouTube tutorials recommend using a drill to remove the pop rivets from the seat's side, but we found another, faster method. The only major challenge is removing the cover from the rear of the seat without destroying it.
  13. This one is just 4 years old, and I got fortunate and got it for 161,000 miles. The garage got back to me shortly after I contacted them. Unlike the auto store, who ignored my three requests for information, this one really responded. Upgrade to improved lighting is required. But I'm enjoying it tremendously so far. Although I doubt I'll have driven more than 20,000 miles by next year, I believe it's a good idea to replace the gearbox fluid every 5,000 miles or so.
  14. A photograph of the new Mondeo
  15. I traded in my 2012 MK4 Titanium X for a 2017 Titanium, likewise a 2.0-liter gasoline automatic. I have a rather tight drive, and the MK5 is much simpler to manoeuvre into parking spaces than the MK4. The dissimilarity in bodily type probably makes it much simpler to switch directions. I'm relieved to find that the conventional auto box is just as seamless as the dual clutch in my last vehicle. When I switch to Sport mode and use the paddle shifters, I'm in heaven.
  16. My Santa Fe PHEV has a 1.6-liter petrol engine, and I can't say that I've had any issues with it up to this point. Having said that, the vehicle that came before this one was a Peugeot 5008 equipped with a 3-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine. Although it was a lighter automobile (1400 kilogrammes as opposed to 2100 kilogrammes), it sometimes seemed slow.
  17. Best front or rear is only significant when grip is at its maximum; otherwise, it is irrelevant. Speed or the road surface (wet, slippery, etc.) might be the cause of the grip limit. In order to handle steering inputs as well as the centrifugal force produced by the vehicle's lateral acceleration, the front tires endure a greater amount of lateral force than the rear ones. FWDs are often designed to understeer, which is corrected by increased steering inputs, which is a more natural response for novice or inexperienced drivers. This situation is limited by the front axle's best tires. In order to adjust for rear wheel slip, the opposite lock must be used; otherwise, the back of the automobile risked passing the front. Up until the tread was decreased to around 3mm, according to RoSPA research from 2005 (there may be more current data), there was only a little decline in braking performance. 1.6mm is the minimum. Conclusion: Unless the tyre is already very worn, grip is not really important.
  18. Look at the crank's bottom pulley to see that this is not the case. By adjusting this sensor, you may enjoy super unleaded's advantages. The only thing I've done to mine is make the power curve a little bit smoother and increase the sport's speed from 6k to 7k. There has been no change in MPG. Mazda uses this method to adapt to the different fuel standards in each nation. While those on the American site seem to cluster towards the top, I discovered my profile closer to the middle.
  19. There's a lot to know about this, and if it's not an MPS, there's no need to run it on super. The knock sensor and ECU are set up to run 98ron like an mps.
  20. Yip I agree with misar and the salesman. Both of my Mazdas, a 2009 and a 2013, have had problems with fogging up, especially when it is very wet outside. I just got a moisture-absorbing bag at Halfrauds for £10, and it seems to work great. You just put it on the dashboard overnight, and the windows are clear in the morning.
