nimbuye5
My spouse and I have just acquired a CX90 Premium. I am attempting to understand the Daytime Running Lights; now, I only see the headlights when the lights are set to the automatic setting. Daytime Running Lights are on in the settings; nevertheless, the inner LED strips illuminate solely when the turn signals are engaged. I have seen many YouTube videos indicating that these lights are illuminated in white when the turn signals are not engaged. I have tried many solutions, nevertheless I am unable to get illumination for any lights save the turn signals. Is this typical? Thank you for your assistance. KOOLCAR
It is located in the Vehicle Settings.
nimbuye5
I said in my post that they are activated in the settings.
WanderlustGuru
I would want to learn how to activate just the white LED strips instead of using the headlights as daytime running lights.
NAVITEL
The white stripes are exclusive to the Daytime Running Lights on higher grades. Lower trims use the headlight as the daytime running light (DRL). Revised for clarity
blueWING007
Set the light switch to the on position rather than auto. The daytime running lights are, in fact, the headlights. The white strips illuminate at night in automatic mode (when sensors determine that lighting conditions necessitate the activation of the headlights) and also serve as turn signals. To keep the strips illuminated at all times, activate the headlights; the white strips will remain lit (aesthetically pleasing) until the turn signal is engaged, in which case the selected side will flash yellow. I own the Base Select Trim, hence this will be applicable to any trim level. The elevated trims have small hooks next to the headlights, serving as daytime running lights in conjunction with the headlamps.
johnmayerrr
My PHEV Premium Plus lacks the strip. Only the headlights function as daytime running lights. This is the highest grade PHEV, suggesting that the LED strip daytime running lights are exclusive to the Turbo S Premium Plus, akin to the premium taillights. This is quite foolish. nimbuye5
Thank you everybody for your responses. It seems that, at my trim level, they are not intended to be activated. It is somewhat frustrating because after paying $50,000 for this car, it does not allow for the activation of the LED strips during the daylight, unlike almost every other vehicle on the road. Absurd. However, I am assured that the car is running properly.
WanderlustGuru
I concur. Mazda implemented some intriguing external cost reductions throughout the grade range, except the Turbo S. No hockey stick LEDs for daytime running lights, absence of tail lights on the liftgate, and black "inline 6" emblems on the front fenders, among other features.
