Preliminary (optimistically) sales inquiries…

I trust this is ok to publish.

My son-in-law wants to sell his 1998 SLK Kompressor (automatic). Mileage is under 60,000; the exact amount is uncertain. The MoT expires at the end of March 2026. AMG wheels, among other components. The photographs do not depict the minor touch-ups in some corners.

Could you provide recommendations for the optimal venue for selling, as well as an approximate valuation of what to request?

Exquisite!
Autotrader and this platform, undoubtedly?

To get an accurate valuation, it is essential to provide commentary on the service history.
I possess no knowledge on these matters; nevertheless, I am aware that well-maintained tiny convertibles with a favourable past tend to sell rapidly, often to those under 30. (The wife has owned many Mx5 vehicles.)
Others here possess more knowledge on SLK price.

There are a distinct set of individuals that possess a strong affinity for yellow automobiles. (From some time ago)

This is not an opportune season for selling a convertible.

He will achieve a more favourable pricing and garner more interest in late spring if he can postpone his decision.
He must submit it for a MOT in March, however.

EBay and AT will provide reliable benchmarks, but it is advisable to avoid Facebook Marketplace due to the quality of purchasers.

The hue will assist, but they do not generate substantial wealth. My wife's vehicle, identical in engine specifications, had 75,000 miles and a T plate with two-tone leather upholstery, and was in near-mint condition; yet, we received a little amount for it. Vehicles of that age and newer are available for far less than £2500. Currently, there are two yellow vehicles available on AT priced at £1500 and £2295. Although they likely have more mileage than yours, they are also newer, providing a comparative reference.
