markjay
Howdy, folks! Okay, I'm stuck on a new issue and was hoping someone could be able to shed some light on it for me. While driving my C350 3.5, I've recently noticed that Sport Mode switches on from Economy mode without my intervention. When the Sport button is pressed, a dashboard indicator light and a S sign light up. I have to pull over, turn off the engine, then restart the vehicle before I can turn off the switch again. Fault with the electricity or the machinery? I'd be grateful for any help you could provide. Preemptive appreciation
mrnobady
This occurred on my E500 when the battery was discharged. Batteries swapped out.
markjay
My battery has worked good, starting the vehicle every time on the first try with no additional issues; but, when I plugged it into the OBD machine, I received two error warnings. Unknown Code P220101 and Coolant Thermostat (Temperature Below Thermostat Regulation Temperature) Code P012800

CelestialSeeker
When was this made? W203? W204? W205 ? Unplugging the wire from the switch pack should help you identify a faulty switch if you have a W203 by removing the gear surround.
markjay
that W204!
coolguy
This occurred to my car as well, and the windows had to be restored to factory settings. Have you noticed any other electrical issues?

Starcar2022
Howdy, folks! Please excuse me if this post is in the incorrect forum. I've just joined up. Can I replace the engine in my 2005 C180k W293 M271.946 automatic for a manual by switching out the flywheel, clutch, and torque converter? colinallcars
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Forum. It's time to begin a fresh discussion. This one is from 2005 and is entirely unrelated to the current discussion.
