I have just obtained a Kia Xceed. Is it possible to deactivate some driver assistance capabilities, including the lane assist function?

That is an unusual situation, but if I understand your article right, it confirms that the electrical connections to the individual speakers are intact. I suspect that the issue is with either the recently acquired amplifier or the head unit. I suspect that the amplifier is the issue, given that the second pair of speakers works well. Could you delicately insert a probe into the pin connections and check for a voltage reading using your digital volt-ohm metre (DVOM)? It would be advisable to test both amplifiers to see whether the issue transfers when using separate amplifiers.

Regrettably, I did not choose for the extended warranty, which was only offered for a duration of 12 months. To my surprise, I mistakenly believed it was just 6 months, as is often the case with used vehicles. I did not anticipate encountering any problems with a car that is said to be of high quality. There are several common problems that I have discovered via personal experience, for which I am not responsible. The automobile has now hit its 40,000-mile milestone, and I have personally driven around 10,000 to 12,000 miles of that total distance. Evidently, I was unaware of the driving tendencies of the prior owner, but now, I typically drive around 10 miles each day in the vehicle. Indeed, I concur. Nowadays, it is evident that durability is not a priority in the construction of many products, including automobiles. I have seen this issue prominently in my current car, particularly when comparing it to my previous BMWs. The latter vehicles exhibited a far higher level of reliability, which is why I find myself really unhappy with my current car. I did not anticipate experiencing a shower inside my vehicle originating from the windscreen, especially since it is just 4 and a half years old. Undoubtedly, it is quite unlikely for a vehicle of this calibre to have such rapid wear and tear. I was unaware of any defects in it until beyond the 3-month term, so I was unable to just return it, which was rather frustrating. However, further events unfolded in rapid succession. Typically, I am not inclined to engage in questionable activities. However, given the troublesome nature of this automobile, I believe Land Rover should assume some accountability. Unfortunately, it seems that they are indifferent to the matter. One would have expected a premium company of their calibre to have superior customer service, especially considering the potential for me to become a loyal customer and purchase many automobiles from them in the future. I am now bound by a contractual agreement with a PCC and, regrettably, returning the item immediately will have financial consequences until I pay to terminate the contract. Given the opportunity, I would readily return it without hesitation. I am now facing a hopeless situation and it seems that I will be the one bearing the financial burden.

Greetings Purchased a 2019 Range Rover Evoque with a licence plate - I have had it for about two years, and since acquiring it, I have encountered nothing but persistent issues. From problems with the battery and camera to a current issue of a leaky windscreen, which they claim need replacement. I have already spent a significant amount of money on this vehicle and it seems that I will now have to pay about £1000 to replace the windscreen. Land Rover is refusing to accept any responsibility. I have inquired about the appropriate channels to raise the concerns, but I received a response that evades addressing the topic. Where can I go from this point? I am unwilling to invest further funds into an automobile that has such significant flaws.

If you adhere to the recommended maintenance plan for your automobile and do not exceed 12,000 miles between repairs, you will never encounter this issue. On one occasion, the maintenance monitor on my automobile appeared since the reset was forgotten. This occurred around one week after the previous service.

The all-wheel drive system provides a satisfying and stable driving experience. Despite its weight, the confidence is quite amazing. -

If money is not a factor, I would choose the newer option. The disparity in acceleration would be imperceptible, the carbon can be easily added, and the absence of one button on the steering wheel is acceptable. -
Install paddle shifters on W204 C250 CDI thru retrofitting.
diablos_carcv5 replied to motorman3's topic in General Car Chat
Congratulations, motorman3! It's great to learn that modifications may be performed to an MB without the need to purchase a new Engine Control Unit (ECU) or have the vehicle connected to STAR diagnostic system for an extended period of time. Are you feeling bored with these already? 🤔 🙂 -

Occasionally, I confess to using the paddle to reduce speed without using the brakes. However, it is important to acknowledge that this is the primary purpose for which the brakes were specifically engineered. I sometimes used them for amusement purposes during my most recent automobile rental, namely on a Dodge Charger equipped with a 9-speed transmission. -

If your vehicle is equipped with a manual shifting function, such as mine, it may be feasible to create paddle shifters yourself. Someone with more expertise will arrive shortly to provide additional information. 👍 -

Uncertain, but trust the perspective of someone who has paddle shifters on their C55 V8 AMG. You will quickly get weary of them and use them seldom. Arguably, your automobile has a superior gearbox compared to mine, but with less power. Consequently, the ability to manually swap gears might be considered advantageous. The probability of it being an inexpensive modification, even if feasible, is quite low. Best wishes. 👍 -
The part number of the door lock actuator.
diablos_carcv5 replied to NAVITEL's topic in General Car Chat
Greetings, It may be inferred that the emergency key is located inside the passenger door. That is the purpose of the third cable. The presence of the 3 or 2 cable/emergency key on the drivers door or passenger door of some automobiles seems to be quite arbitrary. The component numbers also seem to be rather arbitrary. -
Thank you, ElectricEclipse. Indeed, it is the location where I located my present programme version. The conclusion of the numerical value corresponds to the date. Therefore, I am of the opinion that it is operating on the first iteration. If I am accurate, December 16th is 12th. The first component of the numerical value is evidently MY17. I was unable to determine the specific portion of the number that indicates the sort of GEN 5 it is. I have acquired and executed the Kia software updater application on my personal computer. If one were to do a search using either the VIN or the software version, it is expected that the appropriate software would be selected for download. That is the only information I need.

Thank you for your responses. I am uncertain if my device is a small or normal Gen5 model. However, the images that Faltwen had shared have resemblance to the symbols shown on my displays, leading me to conclude that it is likely.

I own a 2018 Sportage plate. Upon further investigation, it has been determined that the vehicle in question is a my17 automobile. The infotainment software seems to be outdated, suggesting that it may not have been updated. I like the multi-colored menu icons. I believe the device is either a Gen5 standard or a small model, however I am uncertain. My inquiry is if upgrading to the latest software would result in a transition of the icons from the multicoloured ones I now own to the neon ones seen on some vehicles. Indeed, I have a preference for the coloured option. In the event of a change, I may choose to maintain the current state.

My CarPlay works reliably, however I get issues with Android Auto when Google Maps or Waze disconnect after around 30 minutes. Reconnecting allows them to operate perfectly for the remainder of the journey. Initially, it occurred during the day, and I attributed it to the sun/heat, but then it also happened at night.

Front-facing booster seats may be utilised in the front without disabling the airbags. It is recommended to adjust the front seat to its farthest position. It is still safer to sit in the rear until booster seats are no longer necessary.
