Hello! I'm also from the Narborough district of Leicestershire. Every third Sunday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, you may find a local meet at Jenno's Coffee House in Narborough's Carlton Park. It's a popular event that happens all year. There are always a couple Mercs there, so drop by if you have the time.

W212 OM 642 winter maintenance!
diablos_carcv5 replied to diablos_carcv5's topic in General Car Chat
Understood. I have a brief inquiry. Last night, I was compiling all the torque specifications for reassembly (any comprehensive list would be greatly appreciated). It indicates that the oil cooler screws should be set to 12 Nm, which seems appropriate; however, some sources state that they are stretch bolts and must be replaced, while others do not mention this requirement. Is anyone aware? I will likely replace them nonetheless; but, they do not appear to be TTY (stretch) bolts. Salutations. -

The glow plugs are functioning adequately and are easily accessible in the event of failure; therefore, I will defer any action regarding them for the time being. 👍 -

I intended to convey that the purple seals had a sealant applied. To my knowledge, none is required. Am I mistaken, or was the previous owner only exercising excessive caution? -

My aim is to decarbonise the cylinder head, replace the malfunctioning swirl motor, substitute the oil cooler seals (despite the presence of purple seals, it is prudent to address them), replace the leaking AC condenser and clean the DPF. I am not providing a comprehensive photographic tutorial; if you lack the requisite skills, consider hiring a professional. However, if you wish to do it and possess the necessary competence, numerous resources are available on this forum and YouTube. I am undertaking this to identify any potential difficulties and address any enquiries that may arise, if possible....and might pose some enquiries of my own. This was intended to commence in the new year; but, the weather has been excessively chilly, prompting me to begin today. The forecast predicted dry conditions; it was inaccurate!Despite having the entire day, I only accomplished approximately four hours of work amidst the intermittent showers. I spent half an hour attempting to remove the DPF, which I have yet to accomplish. I will initiate a separate topic with this issue. This occurred around 9 o'clock this morning.Only the cover has been removed.

An exceedingly costly endeavour if the original poster must acquire an additional Weistec supercharger. I believe that is a five-figure enhancement.

Contact Acid at MSL Performance for guidance. It is highly probable that he installed the supercharger and calibrated it. I would revert it to its original state as soon as possible. 0121 772 5572

Initially, I have had no issues with my 2025 CX-30 2.5S, and hence this inquiry is purely for curiosity's sake. There are approximately 550 Mazda dealerships in the U.S., in contrast to over 2,000 for certain other brands, with some states having only a single-digit number of dealers. Warranty repairs must be conducted by an authorised Mazda dealership. In the event that one of our vehicles becomes undriveable due to a warranty issue, is towing to the nearest Mazda dealership covered under the guarantee?

A significant endorsement for trusting the dipstick. Examine it after the vehicle has been stationary for an extended period.

Rear Suspension of CX60 Damping inadequate to regulate rebound
diablos_carcv5 replied to coolguy's topic in General Car Chat
Upon further examination, it has been often likened to comparable experiences; I believe I have described it as akin to being towed down a road in a metal tub equipped with Halfords lowering springs on many occasions. The Pogo effect almost resulted in a crash in 2023; the Konis mitigated this issue but significantly diminished comfort to an intolerable level for everyday usage. I now have the 2024 rear dampers installed, and while they are an improvement over the originals, they remain suboptimal; nonetheless, they are less problematic in comparison to the significant gearbox troubles I am experiencing. Mazda UK is utterly reprehensible. Arguably the most inadequate customer service of any automotive company with whom I have interacted. -

I am quite pleased to have removed my Koni shocks, which were utterly unsuitable for UK conditions. -
It is located on the windshield if you are observing

It should be appropriately labeled. It seems that the 350 variant was mostly from 2018/69. The 400d, from 2019 forward.

Is the 350 a V6 engine and the 400 an inline six-cylinder engine?

Recommendations for purchase preparation?
diablos_carcv5 replied to Gianni682's topic in General Car Chat
It is prudent to enquire with other vendors to ascertain their potential offers. A single hour of calls may provide an additional thousand dollars or more in savings. Consider obtaining a more favourable rate as well. -
Any or all of it might be distorted or misaligned.

For a bulb, allow Halfrawds to accommodate one. It is their responsibility to get the appropriate bulb, which should not be an expensive task. -

I believe TechnoTrailblazer is accurate above. Are your lights original equipment manufacturer or aftermarket? -

Consider a maintenance service package if you plan to retain it.
