  1. For optimal performance, it is recommended to have the highest quality tyres installed on the front of the vehicle, regardless of whether it is front or rear wheel drive, as long as the tyres are not different sizes.
  2. I am indifferent to igniting it, but I am always plagued by thoughts of potential consequences. Speeding on the road without knowledge of the individuals next to me is a recipe for tragedy. Engaging in a lively drive with acquaintances yields a distinct experience. I have a strong affinity for driving at high speeds, yet ensuring safety is of paramount importance to me. Each individual must confront their own risk tolerances, and the majority of those who want to participate in racing lack intelligence or expertise.
  3. I just use it to shift to a higher gear in order to optimise fuel efficiency. The previous model of the CLK had the capability to achieve the same outcome by using the gear lever, so, any method is acceptable to me.
  4. The potential issue I anticipate is that the exhaust filter is fully saturated, resulting in a decrease in engine performance. This might potentially be an emission problem, as you suggest. If that is the case, then proceed to check out with the garage. Continuing to drive might result in engine damage. I have lately experienced this. Needed to purchase a replacement filter. The automobile has been restored to its original condition.
  5. What is the age of it? This action would activate the lemon law and trigger a repurchase. This should prompt them to locate a battery, amusingly.
  6. I agree with your views. Acquired a 9000-mile MHEV without any significant complications. Several computer upgrades and other components. I never ventured outside the automobile, but rather had it fixed while I waited. The MPGs are superior than those promised.
  7. If you want to retain your car for an extended period, it is advisable to drain and replace the gearbox fluid at least every 25-35K miles or 2-3 years, whichever occurs first.
  8. I applied the Goodyears name to my S205. Cease the act of skipping. They remained silent.
  9. Indeed, by illuminating the area with a light, one may determine if the valve is in a closed position against the seat. Simply rotate the engine in a clockwise direction to the appropriate position, and then go to the next cylinder. There is no need to reposition the engine to a certain location after completing the necessary tasks.
  10. When I cleaned my manifold, I meticulously cleared the ports using a screwdriver and cloth. I ensured that the valves in the ports I was working on were closed by manually turning the engine over. I have repurposed an antiquated hoover by affixing a segment of garden hose to serve as an auxiliary instrument for collecting loose debris. In actuality, a little amount of carbon residue will not cause any problems. If it does get through, it will just be incinerated. The presence of debris in these manifolds seems logical, since under increased pressure, particles are likely to pass through. Have you inspected for any air leaks? The breather pipe and the intake pipe from the MAF to the turbo are susceptible to developing splits. The intake is often located inside the grooves on the convoluted portion.
  11. When it comes to modifications, you should prioritise ensuring that your vehicle is adequately insured. Additionally, pay attention to maintaining a flawless appearance, including the use of mats with stripes and achieving optimal reflections. Lastly, it is crucial to avoid any accidents or collisions. The opportunity for modification will arise in due time. I am elderly as well. What was the cost of your insurance?
  12. If you want to monitor CCBs, I would definitely get the protection package for $2500.
  13. There are 3 or 4 videos in various Facebook groups showcasing this particular problem with different CX60 models. You are not alone. Resolution? Unsure.
  14. I will preserve the information from the Arnold Clark one since it is the correct one. I have plenty of options to choose from now. I could consider giving it to my wife's cousin who owns a Sportage if they are interested. Currently awaiting the delivery of my 32GB SD card to attempt updating the navigation system. Tried using a 64GB USB stick with the software, but it was not compatible. I will insert the SD card directly since I have heard that using the USB loom might be tricky. Here is my previous software version. Does it seem to have been updated?
  15. Kia OEM Air Filter - Part Number 28113C1100 Purchased a KIA authentic part from Arnold Clark after trying Bosch and Borgern Beck options that were somewhat thinner. The old one definitely needs to be done, in my opinion.
