  1. Regrettably, I am unable to assist; I would recommend YouTube tutorials as the most viable option.
  2. Outstanding performance! Delightful vehicle! 🙂👍
  3. No necessity...the vehicle will resolve it after a few kilometers.
  4. 12.45 volts indicates around 80% charge, suggesting potential for improvement. The voltage must be measured around thirty minutes after the engine is turned down; otherwise, it may register inaccurately high. Avoid being misled by this. It is simple to verify the alternator's output by measuring the battery voltage when the engine is operational; it should range from 13.5 to 14.7 volts. Any value below this requires further investigation.
  5. If the individual desires its return, it will be sent back to you.
  6. Indeed, an internet connection is necessary for traffic updates and accident information.
  7. I would want to provide an update here. In accordance with the recommendations provided, I have acquired an MB Icarsoft V2 reader. It seems to provide somewhat more functionality than I want, however I may consider using other features now that I own it. Nonetheless, I was able to read the problem codes, unlike the two inexpensive alternatives I had previously acquired. While I could have interpreted the error codes, there were none available for analysis. No errors are evident, which is advantageous in one regard, however it leaves me no closer to resolving my problem. I acquired MAF sensor cleaner and subsequently detached the sensor for cleaning. Reinsert it, and the issues persisted. I then acquired a new MAF sensor (Hella Air Mass Meter HELLA Air Mass Meter | GSF Car Parts). Less expensive alternatives existed, some much more affordable. Nonetheless, whether justified or not, I maintain that one often receives commensurate value for their expenditure; hence, I selected a more costly option. The installation has been completed, and the vehicle has returned to its usual functioning state. It now exceeds 3000rpm when stationary and accelerates as it once did; also, the kickdown functionality has been restored. I achieved 40 miles per gallon on a 60-mile journey that did not include motorways or dual carriageways. I am uncertain if that is advantageous or detrimental for a 2001 E320 W210. Nevertheless, I was enough pleased with it. I would want to ascertain if this aligns with expectations or the miles per gallon others experience. It will be intriguing to see if the new MAF sensor impacts the miles per gallon. I will provide an additional report when I have undertaken a comparable travel. Thank you.
  8. That is excellent. Thank you for the counsel. I shall endeavour to get one of them and assess my progress. I will provide updates here as I resolve the issue, so my experiences may assist anyone facing similar challenges in the future.
  9. Good evening, everyone. I am a newcomer, therefore I kindly need your understanding. I apologies if the concerns I provide have been already addressed. I own a 2001 E320 Avantgarde (W210). The vehicle has just ceased to accelerate appropriately; the kickdown feature is inoperative, and the engine will not exceed 3000 RPM. I gathered from a post I saw here that it is probable the MAF sensor is the issue. I have ordered a cleaning to test; if it proves ineffective, I will replace the sensor to see whether that resolves the problem. Could you kindly verify if I am proceeding correctly? Occasionally, it attempts to regain functionality, often after first startup, but only momentarily before reverting to restricted acceleration and RPM. The second problem pertains to my acquisition of a RICOKEY Car OBD2 Scanner Universal Wired Auto Engine Fault Code Reader CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool V309. Nevertheless, regardless of my efforts, I am unable to establish a connection with or get data from the vehicle. I suspected that the scanner I had acquired was incompatible, so I got a MOTOPOWER MP69033 OBD2 Scanner Universal Car Engine Fault Code Reader. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Z3HB7DR?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 Regrettably, the same problem has arisen, and it fails to connect or read the vehicle. I adhered to the directions by activating the ignition, choosing the option to read codes, and each time the reader attempts to establish a connection. Nonetheless, it consistently displays a warning instructing to wait 10 seconds before attempting again. The port is functional, since the technician at the nearby garage used a rudimentary reader to successfully get the codes earlier. I believed I could get a reader to avoid delivering it to him, but I must be making an error, or the devices I have acquired are incompatible. Any assistance or guidance would be much appreciated.
  10. Over the years, we have had many automobiles with rather perplexing specifications. Following a model year alteration or facelift, producers may possess some pre-alteration/facelift models that are registered subsequent to the first changed/facelift models. As a model is phased out, manufacturers may build late runs that lack significant advertising, resulting in vehicles with specifications that vary significantly from those shown in brochures—either via additions or omissions. It might pertain to trim or alloys, but it may also include technological elements like as reversing cameras or suspension systems. Vehicles manufactured in the post-Covid era may lack certain characteristics or choices. When studying a vehicle, use caution about journalists' assertions about specifications, since the automobiles provided for test drives at launch in Europe may differ from those ultimately offered in the UK market.
  11. More knowledgeable individuals will provide you with the exact figures soon, but the heuristic I have always understood is that around eight hours of driving is required to recharge a fully depleted battery to an effective full capacity. This is nonsensical, since it will differ from vehicle to vehicle, drive to drive, and battery to battery. This negates the notion that a thirty-minute run (or two thirty-minute runs) suffices to recharge your battery to its maximum capacity. ("Sufficient to initiate the vehicle a second time?" Certainly) Unresolved inquiries: Why was the battery depleted if it had been trickle charged? Are you implying that you just performed a trickle charge when interacting with the head unit, rather than for the whole week? What is the date inscribed on the battery that they purportedly installed?
  12. Depending on the vehicle, installing a fresh tire on one side beside a worn tire on the other side results in disparate wheel speeds, which the system detects as an anomaly and triggers a fault alert. I had similar incident with a new Vauxhall Vectra during my tenure with business vehicles. I would guess that the ABS system on that vehicle (around 1996) would be quite rudimentary by contemporary standards; but, if the malfunction manifested subsequent to the wheel replacement, it may warrant consideration prior to incurring expenses for new components.
  13. Provided they have determined that the sensors are defective rather than the ring in the front wheel bearing that the sensor monitors. Additionally, are two sensors malfunctioning simultaneously? Have you recently performed any tire or brake maintenance on the vehicle?

  16. It seems to be 70mm. Enter your VIN into realoem.com and examine the trim/emblems section. If you want to retain the vehicle, I recommend purchasing authentic BMW parts, since replicas tend to deteriorate rapidly.
  17. The ambiguous phrase HHT may refer to Hand Held Tester, which I do not own, rendering it unhelpful at this juncture.
  18. Thank you for your assistance and expertise. The baggage blind is obscured by installing a large nut on the bling pin hole. All limit switches from the roof mechanics and roll bar have been tested for resistance both independently and with wiring to connector N52. The proper functioning of voltages is verified by all limit switches in accordance with the supplementary directives outlined in the WIS DTC memory diagnostic instructions. However, it is reassuring to acknowledge that they may still exhibit faults. I have already invested much effort in testing them, but I must continue. The only error code produced by hhtwin was B1650; I would want to have the enhanced extension number. I believed that the DTC memory diagnostic instructions for blind B1650, with all tests and measurements, would suffice without the need for additional extensions 00-12. Indeed, I would be aware of the potential causes of the problem associated with the expansion. It is still hypothesised that B1650_06, the maximum permitted duration for soft top activation of the soft top compartment open limit switch (S83/5), is responsible for the error code, since this occurs after all operations cease and no further actions transpire. I must engage more extensively with these items. Conversely, the WIS soft top diagnostic troubleshooting manual indicates that the symptom "steady illumination of the malfunction indicator lamp in the soft top operation switch (S84)" occurs while the vehicle is stationary and the power soft switch is not engaged. That is somewhat accurate. A constant light is illuminated (S84), however the cover is partially engaged (the compartment lid is somewhat retracted inside, but not extended outward). Even with the use of a specialised Mercedes tool... Remedy for the symptom. "Soft top or soft top compartment cover improperly secured, line or fuse circuit 30." I cannot comprehend circuit 30 more clearly. Instructions are provided to verify the locking mechanism. Both limit switches are functioning well; nevertheless, the lock necessitates considerable force when used manually, even with the hydraulic fluid removed. There are additional instructions to articulate the real values of HHT. I cannot comprehend the meaning of it. Additionally, some forums indicate that the method may need additional equipment, such as verifying if the rear windows are down. I am uncertain if an incident involving the compartment lid lock may impact the functioning of external equipment, such as the window or rollover bar, thereafter. Is it only the limit switch chain if the compartment lid opening operation has already commenced? I have observed the current pricing of the spare parts. There is no need to repair my roof if the cost of replacement parts exceeds the whole worth of the automobile. It is regrettable since the automobile is very appealing and I like it. This is why proficient expertise is very valuable. Thank you once again.
  19. I really appreciate it. DAS was unable to access my Rollbar/soft top module. The basic code B1650 was readable by hhtwin. I am uncertain how to get the more precise extension, but I will endeavour to locate it. Is there a list of potential factors that may inhibit the cover from opening while the soft top is stored inside the compartment cover?
  20. Greetings, I am experiencing an unusual issue with my W208 soft top. The roof opens properly, but I am unable to shut it using switch S84. The S84 switch performs a 1-second self-test on power-up without issues for open/close operations. The s84 Switch is continuously illuminated when I attempt to shut the roof. The compartment cover attempts to descend somewhat when I am closing the roof; nevertheless, it does not open at all during this procedure, unlike while it is being opened. When the roof is in the compartment, the cover does not open, which I suppose is causing an error code due to excessive opening time. DAS is displaying fault number B1650 for the limit switch, however I cannot ascertain the specific extension code. I have verified all the limit switches according to the WIS resistance and voltage tests, and they all seem to function perfectly. Suggestions for further actions would be much appreciated.
