I would inquire first as to whether the battery was the cause. There is no justification for just replacing the component if it was deemed satisfactory, and it is as unwise to replace it without addressing the root cause that is depleting the 12-volt battery, as this would result in a recurring occurrence.

Is the navigation system a worthwhile investment?
johnmayerrr replied to TechnoTrailblazer's topic in General Car Chat
The potential value of purchasing from a dealer at their exorbitant costs is uncertain. I purchased a CX-5 car cover for my kid from the online retailer Amazon at a cost of $50. The performance is flawless. -
In my opinion, high regenerative braking does not exhibit a more pronounced deceleration rate compared to the majority of other vehicles, especially manual diesel automobiles, which do not activate the brake lights during this process. Similar to yourself, I engage the accelerator pedal in a cautious manner when another vehicle is in close proximity.
-
I concur. Initially, I had a sense of familiarity with the standard mode, since it resembled the driving experience of my previous vehicle, the CX5 diesel automatic. However, possessing an extensive "coast" resulted in a tendency to apply excessive braking force in close proximity to the ultimate point of cessation as a consequence of miscalculation. Additionally, an unintended consequence of reducing speed prematurely was the occurrence of frequent tailgating. The experience of almost exclusive reliance on a single pedal for driving has become habitual for me, and I have developed a strong preference for it. The current braking system seems to be more effective in this particular setting.

A Comparative Analysis of the Mazda CX-3 and CX-5 Models
johnmayerrr replied to ENVIOclev's topic in General Car Chat
The Cx3 has significantly reduced dimensions, resulting in less leg room and boot capacity. The smaller footprint of the vehicle does not provide the same level of stability as the cx5. -
Similar to a significant number of others, I encounter the identical predicament. The attempt to engage the snow mode of the 2020 Evoke 250 HSE and display the Traction Control feature on the Head-Up Display (HUD) has been unsuccessful. Similar to other others, I have attempted many methods in order to resolve the issue, but the heads-up display (HUD) continues to display both the compass and gradient, which is really frustrating.

Thank you for the responses. I have not previously engaged in the act of polishing my vehicle. Therefore, could you kindly provide a recommendation for a dual-action (DA) polishing machine? As the prices exhibit variability. Furthermore, in the process of polishing, would it be necessary to polish the whole bonnet in order to achieve consistency throughout the panel? I am inquiring if a polished spot would be visible or whether the polishing process is sufficiently gentle as to render the presence of a polished spot imperceptible.

Greetings, everyone, Earlier today, I saw a substance like baked tar on the surface of my vehicle's bonnet. I successfully eliminated the substance; nevertheless, this action has resulted in the discoloration of the paint layer underneath. Are there any potential strategies to refine or address this issue? Thank you for your response.

2015 Mazda Demio Control Unit Djk2 V6 600

Hello, individuals. Is anybody aware of the location for connecting a camera on a 2015 Japanese Mazda Demio with the command system DJK2 V6 600? Is there an ISO lead available on the market for the purpose of connecting a camera to this audio system? The only available RCA connection for this particular audio system type is the RCA input designated for video. I verified the functionality of my camera by examining the video input. However, a notable issue arises while using the reverse gear in the vehicle, as the system fails to detect the presence of the camera, therefore impeding its ability to show the video feed on the screen. Additionally, I included a photograph of the computer screen and system to aid in comprehending the model being discussed. I would want to express my gratitude in advance for your assistance. I am eagerly anticipating your prompt answer. Sincerely -

I used the Google Translate tool to go through the many options until I located the "language" option, which I then changed to English. As a result, the entertainment center has become highly functional and easily navigable, exhibiting a satisfactory level of use. However, in regards to the navigation aspect. The language transitioned to English, but, the maps retained their original Japanese placements and are still integrated inside the text. I am currently doing research on the feasibility of an SD Card upgrade and will provide a comprehensive report upon completion of my investigation. The information panel is positioned above the dashboard in a manner reminiscent to an elevated iPad, and it is equipped with a side-mounted SD Card access port, which instills a sense of optimism. I want to engage in a discussion with the Mazda Dealership in my local area in order to explore the possibility of their assistance. -

It is possible to modify the system's language to English, as an illustrative example. I have successfully used this approach, resulting in enhanced usability and satisfactory performance of the JDM AV system. However, the functionality of the navigation system's maps for the user's location remains unaffected. The base maps used in the system are of Japanese origin and are directly integrated into the system, rather than being executed from an SD card. This implies that the functionality of the system is contingent upon the acquisition of a map update specific to the user's nation. However, even with the aforementioned upgrade, the feasibility of using the system remains uncertain. I am now engaged in research on this topic and will provide an update once I have obtained the necessary information. I navigated through the Japanese script to get the language selection feature on Google Translate using my iPhone. The effectiveness of this approach was notable. -
Although this topic is dated, I am contributing to it in order to maintain its relevance and avoid duplicating my inquiry elsewhere. I am encountering a same problem with a 1994 Protégé vehicle. The battery indicator illuminated, prompting the user to seek professional assistance at a nearby automotive parts establishment. After conducting a diagnostic test, the technicians concluded that the vehicle's alternator required replacement, as shown by the absence of any voltage reading at the battery. I purchased the recently released alternator and proceeded to install it, inadvertently neglecting to subject it to a bench test. Regrettably, I am already experiencing identical symptoms, namely the illumination of the battery light and the failure of the alternator to effectively charge the battery. The automobile will successfully initiate ignition using a jumpstart, but, it is evident that the vehicle's operation will be limited when relying only on battery power. The vehicle was returned to the automotive parts establishment, where it was seen that the alternator exhibited same behavior as previously observed, with a voltage reading of 0 volts at the battery. A replacement has been requested, however, the individual at the parts establishment advised verifying the continuity of the ground connection between the alternator and the battery. I will attempt to use the aforementioned checklist provided by oldeng in order to assess the situation tomorrow, prior to removing the alternator. I will afterwards provide an update on my findings within this forum.

04 Mazda 6 car V6 trouble with smoke after 46k miles
johnmayerrr replied to ENVIOclev's topic in General Car Chat
The blue smoke seen is indicative of the presence of oil, rather than being attributed to poor gas quality. The potential cause for the irregular operation of the engine might be the presence of water inside the fuel mixture. One potential solution to address the issue of gasoline freezing in the tank is the use of ethyl alcohol, often referred to as dry gas or fuel anti-freeze. It is advisable to frequently monitor the levels of oil in your vehicle to ensure that excessive oil consumption is not occurring. -
04 Mazda 6 car V6 trouble with smoke after 46k miles
johnmayerrr replied to ENVIOclev's topic in General Car Chat
The occurrence of smoke during the first stages of engine operation is often attributed to the deterioration of valve seals, which results in the leakage of oil when the engine is not in operation and the subsequent accumulation of oil inside the engine. The presence of continuous smoke emissions might serve as an indication of potential issues with the piston rings. It is advisable to do a compression check on all cylinders in order to determine whether any of them exhibit abnormal readings. Additionally, I recall a mention about the PCV valve. Although I myself have not experienced this problem, it has been reported by others that it may lead to the occurrence of smoking. -

Possible that I'll strip the insulation off the wires to see what color it is. The colors black, red, and white. Alternate color schemes for production models include purple-pink and black-red. There might also be electrical heater wall outlet color codes.

Both the original maintenance handbook and the replacement manual I used had no illustrations. Even though I have a parts handbook, I'll need a component number in order to use it. It seems to be a by-pass solenoid, but I've never seen one before.
